Let's reflect for a few moments about the world  as it is after 9/11.  We live in a world of unparalleled turmoil.  The world economy is crumbling before our very eyes.  The United States taxpayers have incurred a debt of over  2 trillion dollars just in the last few months.  As you know, the United States government has had to bail out  some very large banks, and some significant corporations.  And they've put a huge sum of money into getting the economy  of the United States on track again.  But it's not only the United States that is in trouble.  We live in a time of global economic turmoil.  As you know, many states in the United States  are almost bankrupt, including the state of California.  Millions of people in the United States have lost their homes  due to foreclosure.  Life savings, and retirement plans have disappeared.  Corporate greed runs rampant in Wall Street  and in the large corporations.  And this has caused unprecedented financial loss  for millions of people.  And then we have the natural disasters, which seem to be  greater and more prevalent every day.  Disasters that are of epic proportions like  Hurricane Katrina, like the Asian Tsunami, like the terrible  tornadoes that we had just a few months ago  in the Midwestern United States, hundred year fires in Australia,  and in California, and earthquakes in different places.  And what could we say about wars and rumors of wars?  Israel and the Palestinians, Iraq, Afghanistan, India,  Pakistan, and many other countries of the world  that are embroiled in war.  And then we have the threat of global pandemics and epidemics:  Bird flu, Mad Cow disease, new strains of Tuberculosis, AIDS,  and other diseases that could devastate the human race.  And then there is the ever present danger of global terror,  and the perilous task of trying to guard our homeland security.  And what could we say about the potential for biological,  chemical, and nuclear weapons?  On the moral level everything seems to go downhill.  The gay marriage debate rages.  Pornography runs rampant.  The use of pornography on the air is prevalent.  Abortions are performed without any pangs of conscience.  School shootings and workplace shootings appear to be the rule of the day.  Child abuse and kidnappings, husbands killing their wives, and global warming. I don't know how you feel about global warming,  but it's definitely happening. Something is happening in this world that is disturbing  the delicate ecosystem of Planet Earth.  In the midst of all of this turmoil,  and all of these problems we ask the question,  Is there no hope? Is the world moving towards Armageddon?  Is the world, as we know it, moving to its end?  Well, during this series I have good news.  We're going to study God's final message to Planet Earth.  And that message is found in Revelation 14:6-12. 

Marilah kita merenung beberapa menit tentang dunia ini setelah 9/11 [4 serangan di Amerika tahun 2001 di antaranya di Twin Tower WTC dan Pentagon]. Kita hidup di dunia yang kekacauannya tak tertandingi. Perekonomian dunia remuk berkeping-keping di depan mata kita. Sebagaimana kalian tahu, pemerintah Amerika Serikat harus menalangi beberapa bank besar dan korporasi-korporasi yang terkenal, dan mereka harus memasukkan sejumlah uang yang luar biasa besarnya agar perekonomian Amerika Serikat bisa kembali pulih. Tetapi bukan hanya Amerika Serikat yang bermasalah. Kita semua hidup di zaman kekacauan ekonomi global. Sebagaimana kalian tahu, banyak negara bagian di Amerika Serika hampir bangkrut, terutama negara bagian California. Berjuta-juta orang di Amerika Serikat kehilangan tempat tinggal mereka karena disita. Tabungan, dan dana pensiun lenyap. Keserakahan korporasi merajalela di Wall Street dan di korporasi-korporasi besar. Dan ini telah menyebabkan kerugian finansial yang belum pernah terjadi bagi jutaan orang. Kemudian ada bencana-bencana alam, yang semakin lama tampaknya semakin parah dan semakin sering. Bencana-bencana yang ukurannya hebat seperti Badai Katrina, Tsunami di Asia, tornado-tornado yang mengerikan yang terjadi beberapa bulan lalu di bagian tengah Amerika Serikat utara, kebakaran 100 tahun di Australia dan California, serta gempa bumi di beberapa tempat. Dan apa yang bisa kita katakan tentang peperangan dan rumor peperangan? Israel dengan Palestina, Irak, Afganistan, India, Pakistan, dan banyak negara di dunia sedang terlibat dalam peperangan. Lalu ada ancaman pandemik dan epidemik global: flu burung, penyakit sapi gila, penyakit TBC jenis baru, AIDS, dan penyakit-penyakit lain yang bisa membinasakan umat manusia. Kemudian senantiasa adanya bahaya terorisme global, dan tugas-tugas berbahaya Departemen Hankam  dalam usaha untuk melindungi keamanan negara kita. Dan apa yang bisa kita katakan tentang potensi senjata biologi, kimia dan nuklir? Di tingkat moral, semuanya serasa menurun. Perdebatan tentang perkawinan sesama jenis menggila. Pornografi merajalela. Pemakaian pornografi mengudara di mana-mana. Aborsi dilakukan tanpa perasaan bersalah. Penembakan-penembakan di sekolah dan tempat kerja seakan-akan menjadi kebiasaan yang berlaku. Penganiayaan anak-anak, penculikan, suami-suami membunuh istri-istri mereka, dan pemanasan global. Entah bagaimana pendapat kalian tentang pemanasan global, tetapi ini jelas sedang terjadi. Sesuatu sedang terjadi di dunia ini yang mengganggu ekosistem planet bumi yang peka. Di tengah semua kekacauan  dan masalah ini, kita punya pertanyaan: Apakah sudah tak ada lagi harapan? Apakah dunia sedang melaju ke Armageddon? Apakah dunia yang kita kenal, sedang bergerak ke kehancurannya? Nah, selama serial ini saya punya kabar baik. Kita akan mempelajari pesan terakhir Allah kepada planet bumi. Dan pesan tersebut ada di Wahyu 14:6-12.

Now I'm going to tell you that we're going to study 25 sessions together.  And we are going to analyze every phrase  of the three angels' messages.  We are not going to leave any stone unturned when it comes to the study of these three messages that God  sends to Planet Earth.  And I believe that when we finish the 24 sessions, those of us who attend will understand the relationship  between all of these different aspects that we find in the  three angels' messages, and the urgent need that we have  of preparing for the coming of Jesus Christ, which I believe is to be even at the door; very, very eminent.

I'd like to begin by reading the three angels' messages  as we find in Revelation 14:6-12.  And of course the title of our study today is,  Ten Great Facts About the Three Angels' Messages.  So turn with me in your Bibles to Revelation 14:6-12.  Let's read the first angel's message. 

^“6 And I saw another angel flying in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach to those who dwell on the earth,  to every nation, tribe, tongue, and people, ⁷ saying with a loud voice, ‘Fear God, and give glory to Him; for the hour of His judgment has come, and worship Him who made heaven, and earth,  the sea, and springs of waters.’”

That's the first message. 

Saya akan mulai dengan membacakan pekabaran tiga malaikat yang kita dapati di Wahyu 14:6-12. Dan tentu saja judul dari pelajaran kita hari ini adalah Ten Great Facts About the Three Angels’ Messages [= 10 Fakta Besar tentang Pekabaran Tiga Malaikat]. Inilah pekabaran yang pertama.

Now we go to the second.

“⁸ And another angel followed, saying, ‘Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she has made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.’”

Sekarang kita ke pekabaran yang kedua:

“⁸ Dan seorang malaikat lain, mengikuti  dan berkata: ‘Sudah rubuh, sudah rubuh Babel, kota besar itu, karena dia telah membuat segala bangsa minum dari  anggur murka hawa nafsu cabulnya.’"

And then we find the third angel's message  beginning in verse 9. 

“⁹ And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice,  ‘If any one worships the beast and his image, and receive his mark on his forehead, or on his hand, ¹⁰ he himself shall also drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out full strength into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb. ¹¹ And the smoke of their torment ascends for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name. ¹² Here is the patience of the saints: here are those who keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.’”

Lalu kita temukan pekabaran malaikat yang ketiga mulai dari ayat 9.

“ ⁹ Dan seorang malaikat lain, malaikat ketiga, mengikuti mereka, dan berkata dengan suara nyaring:  ‘Jikalau seorang menyembah binatang dan patungnya itu, dan menerima tanda pada dahinya atau pada tangannya, ¹⁰ maka ia akan minum dari anggur murka Allah, yang disediakan tanpa campuran dalam cawan murka-Nya; dan ia akan disiksa dengan api dan belerang di depan mata malaikat-malaikat kudus dan di depan mata Anak Domba. ¹¹ Maka asap api yang menyiksa mereka itu naik ke atas sampai selama-lamanya, dan siang malam mereka tidak henti-hentinya disiksa, yaitu mereka yang menyembah binatang serta patungnya itu, dan barangsiapa yang telah menerima tanda namanya. ¹²        Di sinilah ketahanan orang-orang kudus, inilah mereka yang memelihara perintah-perintah Allah dan iman dari Yesus.”

Now during this series we are going to try to answer a series of questions.  And so as we begin our study today, I would like to formulate  those questions which we are going to answer in the course  of the next 24 sessions that we have here together.

Question:

1.     What is the everlasting gospel?  It's mentioned in the first angel's message.  What is the everlasting gospel that needs to be preached  to the whole world? 

2.     What do three angels represent? Are we to expect three angels flying in the midst of heaven zipping from one side of the heaven to the other? What do angels represent?  What do angels symbolize? 

3.     And then we must ask the question, Why are they described  as flying in the midst of heaven?  Why are these angels flying? 

4.     Why do these messages go to all of the world,  as we've just read? 

5.     What does it mean to fear God? 

6.     What does it mean to give glory to God? 

7.     What does the first angel's message mean when it says that we are in the hour of God's judgment? 

8.     What does it mean to worship the Creator? 

9.     What is Babylon?

10.  What is Babylon's wine of wrath,  because Babylon has wine?  What does the wine represent? 

11.  What does prophecy mean when it says that Babylon fornicates with the kings of the earth? 

12.  Who is the beast?

13.  Who or what is the image to the beast? 

14.  What is the mark of the beast? 

15.  What is the number of the beast's name? 

16.  What is the wine of God's wrath? 

17.  Why is God's wine poured without mixture? 

18.  Will the worshipers of the beast be incinerated in fire that will never go out?  After all the Bible says “forever and ever.” 

19.  What is the patience of the saints? 

20.  What are the commandments of God? 

21.  What is meant by the faith of Jesus? 

22.  And finally, who are the 144,000, and when will they live?  And you say, “Why are you including the 144,000?”  Simply because in Revelation 14:1-5 you have the 144,000  before the three angels' messages are proclaimed,  which means that the 144,000 are somehow related  to the three angels' messages. 

Pertanyaan:

1.   Injil yang kekal itu apa? Ini disebut dalam pekabaran malaikat yang pertama. Apakah injil yang kekal yang harus disampaikan kepada seluruh dunia?

22. Dan akhirnya, siapakah ke-144’000 dan kapan mereka hidup? Kalian berkata, “Mengapa Anda mengikut-sertakan ke-144’000?” Semata-mata karena di Wahyu 14:1-5 kita dapati ke-144’000 sebelum pekabaran ketiga malaikat diserukan, yang berarti ke-144’000 ada kaitannya dengan pekabaran ketiga malaikat.

So we have our work cut out for us.  We have a lot to study.  We have to know who the beast is.  How can you not worship the beast  if don't know who he is?  You see, if we don't know who the beast is,  we'll end up worshipping him.  If we don't know what the image is, we'll end up worshipping the image.  If we don't know what the mark of the beast is, we might just end up receiving the mark of the beast.  So it's very important for us to understand these things. 

Jadi kita sudah punya pola untuk pelajaran kita. Banyak yang harus kita pelajari. Kita harus tahu siapa Binatang itu. Bagaimana kita bisa tidak menyembah Binatang itu jika kita tidak tahu siapa dia? Kalian lihat, jika kita tidak tahu siapa Binatang itu, akhirnya kita bisa menyembah dia. Jika kita tidak tahu apa itu patung Binatang, akhirnya kita akan menyembah patung itu. Jika kita tidak tahu apa tanda Binatang itu, boleh jadi akhirnya kita menerima tanda Binatang itu. Jadi, sangat penting bagi kita untuk mengerti hal-hal ini.

Now we want to take a look at ten facts concerning the three angels' messages.  This is an introductory subject today.  We're going to take a look at several introductory matters  dealing with the three angels' messages. 

Sekarang kita akan melihat ke-10 fakta mengenai pekabaran tiga malaikat ini. Ini hanya topik pendahuluan hari ini. Kita akan melihat beberapa masalah pendahuluan sehubungan dengan pekabaran tiga malaikat.

FACT 1. When the Bible says that three angels' are proclaiming  their messages to the world, we are not to understand that  literal angels will zip across the sky at the speed of  lightening, shouting with a loud voice the messages that we find  in Revelation chapter 14. The fact is that in the Bible angels are depicted as helping  human beings proclaim the message.  In other words, the angels represent heavenly messengers  that use human beings to proclaim the  message of Jesus Christ. 

Take for example Revelation 1: 1-3, where we find  a very interesting process. Revelation 1:1-3.  This is the introduction to the book of Revelation,  and it says there: “The Revelation of Jesus Christ,  which God gave Him…” Now notice the sequence.  God gave Jesus a certain Revelation. And He gave it to Him, “…to show…” whom? “…His servants things which  must shortly take place; and he sent and signified it by his angel to His servant John: who bore witness to the word of God,  and to the testimony of Jesus Christ. “

Do you see a chain of command here? Very clearly there's a chain of command. 

·       God the Father gives the message to Jesus. 

·       Jesus gives the message to His angel. 

·       The angel then whispers in John's ear and says, “This is the message that I want you to write down.” And so now the angel gives the message to John. 

·       And John gives the message to the churches. 

·       And the churches are supposed to give the message to the world. 

FAKTA 1.  Ketika Alkitab berkata bahwa tiga malaikat itu sedang menyampaikan pekabaran mereka kepada dunia, janganlah kita beranggapan bahwa malaikat-malaikat beneran akan melesat di angkasa dengan kecepatan halilintar, menyerukan dengan suara keras pesan-pesan yang kita dapati di Wahyu pasal 14. Faktanya ialah, di Alkitab, malaikat-malaikat digambarkan membantu manusia menyampaikan pekabaran itu. Dengan kata lain, malaikat-malaikat melambangkan utusan-utusan surgawi yang memakai manusia untuk menyampaikan pesan-pesan Yesus Kristus.

Misalkan Wahyu 1:1-3 di mana kita mendapati suatu proses yang sangat menarik. Wahyu 1:1-3. Ini adalah pengantar Kitab Wahyu dan dikatakan di sana, “¹ Wahyu Yesus Kristus yang diberikan Allah kepada-Nya…”   perhatikan urutannya. Allah memberikan Yesus wahyu tertentu, dan Dia memberikan kepadaNya  “…untuk menunjukkan…” siapa? “…kepada hamba-hamba-Nya hal-hal yang harus segera terjadi. Apakah kalian melihat rantai komando di sini? Sangat jelas ada rantai komando.

·       Allah Bapa memberikan pesanNya kepada Yesus.

·       Yesus memberikan pesan itu kepada malaikatNya.

·       Malaikat lalu berbisik di telinga Yohanes dan berkata, “Inilah pesan yang harus kamu tulis.” Jadi malaikat memberikan pesannya kepada Yohanes.

·       Dan Yohanes memberikan pesan itu kepada gereja-gereja.

·       Dan gereja-gereja seharusnya menyampaikan pesan itu kepada dunia.

In other words, the angels are depicted as three messages  that the angels help human beings to proclaim to the world.  By the way, the word angel in Greek, “angelos”,  actually means messenger. And did you know that in the New Testament certain human  beings are called angels? 

You say, “Now how's that?”  Well, let me just mention some.  I’m not going to read the text, but if you want you  can write them down. 

·       Epaphroditus.  You say “Well, that's a weird name.  Is he in the Bible?” Yes, he's in Philippians 2:25.  The apostle Paul mentions him, but he's called an angel.  He's called a messenger. 

·       John the Baptist in Matthew 11:10 is called  a messenger, or an angel. 

·       You remember that there were certain messengers that John  sent to speak with Jesus.  The word “messengers” there is the word “Angeloi”.  In other words they are angels. 

·       The spies that went to Jericho, according to James 2:25,  were angels, or messengers. 

·       Even the apostle Paul, in Galatians 4:14, is called an angel, or a messenger.

·       And, of course we, know about Stephen, that first martyr  of the Christian church, in Acts 6:15 it says that his face  was like the face of an angel. 

Dengan kata lain, malaikat-malaikat itu menggambarkan malaikat-malaikat yang membantu manusia menyampaikan tiga pekabaran itu kepada dunia. Ketahuilah, kata  ἄγγελος  “angelos” dalam bahasa Greeka sebenarnya berarti “utusan”. Dan tahukah kalian bahwa dalam Perjanjian Baru manusia-manusia tertentu disebut malaikat?

Kalian berkata, “Kenapa begitu?”

Nah, saya akan menyebutkan beberapa. Saya tidak akan membacakan ayatnya, tetapi jika kalian mau, kalian bisa mencatatnya.

·       Epafroditus. Kalian berkata, “Wah, itu nama yang aneh. Apakah dia disebutkan dalam Alkitab?”  Ya, dia ada di Filipi 2:25. Rasul Paulus menyebutnya, tetapi dia disebut “malaikat”[angelos], dia disebut seorang “utusan”.

·       Yohanes Pembaptis di Matius 11:10 disebut “utusan”, atau “malaikat” [angelos].

·       Kalian ingat ada utusan-utusan tertentu yang dikirim Yohanes untuk berbicara dengan Yesus. Kata “utusan-utusan” di sana adalah “angeloi”. Dengan kata lain mereka adalah “malaikat”.

·       Mata-mata yang masuk ke Yerikho menurut Yakobus 2:25 adalah “malaikat” atau “utusan”.

·       Bahkan Rasul Paulus di Galatia 4:14 disebut “malaikat” atau “utusan”.

·       Dan tentu saja kita tahu tentang Stefanus, martir pertama gereja Kristen di Kisah 6:15, dikatakan wajahnya seperti wajah malaikat.

Now we all know that God has not committed the preaching  of the gospel to angels, has He?  Jesus did not say to the angels, “Go proclaim  the gospel to the world.” The work of proclaiming the everlasting gospel to the world  has been committed to the servants of Jesus Christ;  to human beings. But they are aided in their work  by the angelic host.  In fact, notice Matthew 28:18-20 where it tells us, to whom it has been committed to preach the everlasting gospel.  It says there in verse 18, “And Jesus came and spoke to them,  saying, ‘All authority has been given to me  in heaven and on earth.  Go…”, He's speaking to His disciples,  “…Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father,  and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the age.’ Amen.”

Notice that the great commission of preaching the gospel was  committed to the disciples.  It's not committed to angels. You see, the angels never needed to be redeemed.  They don't know what it means to be redeemed.  Only those who have been redeemed can proclaim  the message of redemption with power, because they know the experience of the gospel. 

Nah, kita semua tahu bahwa Allah tidak menugaskan penyampaian injil kepada para malaikat, bukan? Yesus tidak berkata kepada para malaikat, “Pergilah dan kabarkan injil kepada dunia.” Tugas menyampaikan injil yang kekal kepada dunia telah dibebankan kepada hamba-hamba Yesus Kristus, kepada manusia-manusia. Tetapi dalam pekerjaan mereka, mereka dibantu oleh bala tentara surga. Bahkan, perhatikan Matius 28:18-20 di mana dikatakan kepada siapa telah ditugaskan penyampaian injil yang kekal. Dikatakan di ayat 18, “¹⁸ Yesus mendekati mereka dan berkata:  ‘Kepada-Ku telah diberikan segala kuasa di sorga dan di bumi. ¹⁹ Karena itu pergilah,…”  Yesus berbicara kepada murid-muridNya,  “…pergilah dan jadikanlah semua bangsa murid-Ku dan baptislah mereka dalam nama Bapa dan Anak dan Roh Kudus, ²⁰ dan ajarlah mereka melakukan segala sesuatu yang telah Kuperintahkan kepadamu. Dan ketahuilah, Aku menyertai kamu senantiasa sampai kepada akhir zaman.’ Amin."

Perhatikan tugas besar menyampaikan injil ini diberikan kepada para murid, bukan diberikan kepada para malaikat. Kalian lihat, para malaikat tidak pernah butuh diselamatkan. Mereka tidak tahu apa artinya diselamatkan. Hanya mereka yang pernah ditebus yang bisa menyampaikan pekabaran penebusan dengan kuasa, karena mereka pernah mengalami injil.

Also in Acts 1:8 we find the command of Jesus to His  disciples to proclaim the gospel.  Once again, the gospel has not been committed to angels  to proclaim by streaking across the sky and shouting  with a loud voice God's message.  It's committed to human beings, but angels help human beings. 

Notice Acts 1:8, “But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and Samaria and to the end of the earth.”

Juga di Kisah 1:8 kita dapati perintah Yesus kepada murid-muridNya untuk menyampaikan injil. Sekali lagi, injil tidak ditugaskan kepada para malaikat untuk disampaikan dengan melesat di langit dan menyerukan pesan Allah dengan suara yang keras. Tugas itu diberikan kepada manusia, tetapi malaikat-malaikat membantu manusia.

Perhatikan Kisah 1:8, “Tetapi kamu akan menerima kuasa, saat Roh Kudus turun ke atas kamu, dan kamu akan menjadi saksi-Ku di Yerusalem dan di seluruh Yudea dan Samaria dan sampai ke ujung bumi.”

Incidentally, I would like to share with you two experiences  where an angel actually helped one of the followers of Jesus  to proclaim the message.  Do you remember the story of Phillip  and the Ethiopian eunuch? 

Let me ask you, who was it that actually took Phillip so that he  could go speak and meet with the Ethiopian eunuch?  If you read Acts 8:26, it says that the angel directed Phillip to go and meet with the Ethiopian eunuch. And then, of course, Phillip shared the message  of God with the eunuch. 

And then we also have the example of the apostle Peter.  You remember that Peter preached the gospel to Cornelius.  But it was an angel that came to Cornelius and actually put him  in touch, or put him in contact with Simon Peter. 

In other words, the angels give the message to human beings,  and then human beings proclaim the gospel to the world. 

Nah, saya ingin berbagi dua pengalaman di mana seorang malaikat benar-benar menolong salah satu pengikut Yesus menyampaikan pekabaran. Apakah kalian ingat kisah Filipus dan sida-sida Etiopia? Coba saya tanya, siapa yang sesungguhnya membawa Filipus agar dia bisa pergi untuk berbicara dan bertemu dengan sida-sida Etiopia? Jika kalian membaca Kisah 8:26, dikatakan malaikat yang mengarahkan Filipus agar pergi dan bertemu dengan sida-sida Etiopia. Kemudian, tentu saja, Filipus membagikan pekabaran Allah kepada sida-sida itu.

Lalu juga ada contoh Rasul Petrus. Kalian ingat Petrus yang menyampaikan injil kepada Cornelius? Tetapi malaikatlah yang datang ke Cornelius dan yang menghubungkannya dengan Simon Petrus.

So these three angels represent messages that God sends  by the angelic hosts to us, for us to proclaim to the world. 

That's Fact 1. The three angels represent human beings  preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ to the world,  particularly God's end time people. 

Maka ketiga malaikat ini melambangkan pesan-pesan yang dikirimkan Allah melalui bala tentara surgawi kepada kita, agar kita menyampaikannya kepada dunia.

Itulah Fakta 1. Ketiga malaikat melambangkan manusia-manusia yang menyampaikan injil Yesus Kristus kepada dunia, terutama umat Allah akhir zaman.

Now let's go to FACT 2. 

We're told as we read in Revelation 14, that the angels fly in the midst of heaven. This must mean that the messages of the three angels  are of heavenly origin.  You know, whenever God speaks in the book of Revelation,  God's message always comes from above.  It always comes from heaven.  On the other hand, the powers of Satan come from the sea,  from the abyss, and from the earth.  In other words, the fact that these three messages are  depicted as three angels' flying in the midst of heaven,  coming from heaven to earth, means that these messages  are directly sent by God.  They are heavenly messages. 

Incidentally, in the Bible to speak of “beneath”  is the realm of Satan.  To speak of “above” is the realm of Jesus Christ.  It's the realm of God.  So whenever an angel comes from heaven  it means a message from God.  James 3, I want you to notice, James 3 tells us this ~ speaking about the wisdom that doesn't come from above ~ it says: “…this wisdom does not descend from above,  but is earthly, sensual, demonic.”  So where does the power of Satan come from?  It comes not from above, but from where? from beneath. 

Sekarang marilah ke FAKTA 2.

Kita mendapat tahu di Wahyu 14 bahwa malaikat-malaikat terbang di tengah langit. Ini tentunya berarti bahwa pekabaran ketiga malaikat itu berasal dari Surga. Kalian tahu, setiap kali Allah berbicara dalam kitab Wahyu, pesan-pesan Allah selalu datang dari atas, selalu datang dari langit. Di pihak lain, kuasa Setan datang dari laut, dari “abusos” [lubang yang dalam, kegelapan, tempat di mana tidak ada kehidupan] dan dari bumi. Dengan kata lain, fakta bahwa ketiga pekabaran ini digambarkan sebagai tiga malaikat yang terbang di tengah langit, datang dari langit ke bumi, berarti pekabaran-pekabaran ini dikirimkan langsung oleh Allah. Ini adalah pekabaran dari Surga.

Ketahuilah, bila Alkitab berbicara tentang “di bawah” itu adalah kawasan Setan. Bila berbicara tentang “di atas” itu adalah kawasan Yesus Kristus, itu kawasan Allah. Jadi bilamana ada malaikat datang dari langit, itu berart pekabarannya berasal dari Allah. Di Yakobus pasal 3 ~ saya mau kalian perhatikan  ~ Yakobus 3 berkata kepada kita demikian ~ berbicara tentang hikmat yang tidak berasal dari atas, dikatakan, “Itu bukanlah hikmat yang datang dari atas, tetapi dari dunia, dari nafsu manusia, dari setan-setan.” [Yakobus 3:15]

Jadi dari mana datangnya kuasa Setan? Tidak datang dari atas, tetapi dari mana? Dari bawah.

Revelation 18:1, which we're going to study in this series later on, speaks of a powerful angel that comes down from heaven, and he cries with a mighty voice that Babylon is fallen. And then he calls God's people to come out of Babylon.  This message comes with great power from heaven. 

So Fact 2, is that the fact that these angels are depicted as  flying in the midst of heaven, means that these messages  are of heavenly origin.  They come directly from the throne of God. 

Wahyu 18:1 yang akan kita pelajari nanti dalam serial ini, berbicara tentang seorang malaikat yang perkasa yang turun dari langit dan dia berseru dengan suara keras bahwa Babilon telah roboh. Lalu dia memanggil umat Allah keluar dari Babilon. Pekabaran ini datang dengan kuasa besar dari Surga.

Jadi Fakta 2 ialah bahwa malaikat-malaikat ini yang digambarkan terbang di tengah langit, berarti pekabaran-pekabaran ini berasal dari Surga, mereka datang langsung dari takhta Allah.

FACT 3. We're told twice in the three angels' messages  that these messages are proclaimed with a loud voice.  It's interesting; the Greek word that is used for “loud voice”  is the word μέγας φωνή [megas phōnē]. What word do we get from megas phōnē?  The word "megaphone", right?  Have you ever heard of megaphone?  You know you use them at campouts.  I know at camporees, Pathfinder camporees, you have a megaphone to call all of the Pathfinders together.  Let me ask you, when you use the megaphone,  can you hear the message?  You certainly can.  And sometimes it's so loud that it actually squeals,  and then everybody can hear it.  And so that's the word that is used. These messages are of heavenly origin.  Human beings are supposed to preach them, and they come with  great power, because they're proclaimed with a loud voice.  In other words, there is no word parsing or political correctness  in these messages. This is not some ambivalent double speak.  There's no mute on the trumpet.  It is to be shouted from the rooftops no matter what  the consequences are.  The messages are to be proclaimed with utmost power. 

FAKTA 3.  Dua kali kita diberitahu oleh pekabaran tiga malaikat ini bahwa pekabaran ini diserukan dengan suara nyaring. Ini menarik. Kata Greeka yang dipakai untuk "suara nyaring”  adalah  μέγας φωνή [megas phōnē]. Kata apa yang kita perolah dari megas phōnē ? Kata "megafon" benar? Pernahkah kalian mendengar tentang megafon? Kalian tahu, itu dipakai di perkemahan. Saya tahu di perkemahan pramuka megafon dipakai untuk memanggil semua Pathfinder [pramuka] berkumpul. Coba saya tanya, bila kita memakai megafon, bisakah kita mendengar pesannya? Tentu saja. Dan kadang-kadang suaranya begitu keras sampai melengking, dan semua orang bisa mendengar. Maka itulah kata yang dipakai. Pekabaran-pekabaran ini berasal dari Surga. Manusia-manusia yang harus menyampaikan mereka, dan pekabaran-pekabaran ini datang dengan kuasa besar karena disampaikan dengan suara nyaring. Dengan kata lain tidak ada kata-kata yang diuraikan atau kata-kata yang manis dalam pekabaran-pekabaran ini. Ini bukanlah pekabaran bermakna ganda yang meragukan. Terompetnya tidak bisa dimatikan suaranya. Pekabaran itu harus diserukan dari atap-atap yang tinggi apa pun akibatnya. Pekabaran-pekabaran itu harus didengungkan dengan kuasa yang terbesar.

FACT 4. The angels fly. Now what does that represent, the angels flying?  It represents the speed with which this message is supposed  to go to the world.  Now let me ask you, how fast do angels fly?  Well, let's go to Ezekiel 1, Ezekiel 1:13, 14.  Let me ask you, are these messages supposed to go with  utmost speed to all of the world? Absolutely!  These messages of heavenly origin are to go to all of the  world with great power, and with the utmost velocity.  Notice what it says in Ezekiel 1:13, 14.  It's speaking about the four living creatures,  which represents the angelic host.  And notice what it says. “As for the likeness of the living creatures,  their appearance was like burning coals of fire,  like the appearance of torches going back and forth among  the living creatures.  The fire was bright, and out of the fire went lightening.  And the living creatures ran back and forth in appearance  like a flash of lightening.” How fast do angels travel?  With the speed of lightening. 

How fast does this message need to go to the world?  It needs to go to the world with the speed of lightening. But, unfortunately, it's going to the world with the speed of a snail, or the speed of a tortoise. It's not because the angelic host isn't waiting anxiously for this message to be proclaimed to the world.  It's simply because we, as human beings, have not lent ourselves  to be used by the power of God to proclaim these heavenly  messages of God to the world, so that the end can come. 

FAKTA 4.  Malaikat terbang. Nah, itu melambangkan apa, malaikat terbang? Itu melambangkan kecepatan bagaimana pekabaran ini seharusnya disampaikan ke seluruh dunia. Sekarang, coba saya tanya, seberapa cepatnya malaikat terbang? Marilah ke Yehezkiel 1:13-14. Coba saya tanya, apakah pekabaran-pekabaran ini seharusnya disampaikan ke seluruh dunia dengan kecepatan maksimal? Tepat sekali. Pekabaran-pekabaran surgawi ini harus disampaikan ke seluruh dunia dengan kuasa besar dan dengan kecepatan yang tertinggi. Perhatikan apa yang dikatakan Yehezkiel 1:13-14. Ini berbicara tentang empat makhluk hidup yang melambangkan bala tentara surgawi. Perhatikan apa katanya, “¹³ Tentang rupa makhluk-makhluk hidup itu, penampilan mereka seperti bara api yang menyala seperti penampilan suluh, yang bergerak bolak balik di antara makhluk-makhluk hidup itu. Api itu terang, dan dari api itu keluar kilat. ¹⁴ Makhluk-makhluk hidup itu berlarian ke sana ke mari, dan tampaknya  seperti kilatan petir.”

Seberapa cepatnya malaikat terbang? Secepat kilat.

Seberapa cepatnya pekabaran ini harus disampaikan kepada dunia? Harus disampaikan kepada dunia dengan kecepatan kilat. Tetapi, sayangnya, pekabaran itu disampaikan ke dunia dengan kecepatan seekor siput, atau seekor penyu. Bukan karena bala tentara surgawi tidak menunggu dengan gelisah agar pekabaran ini disampaikan kepada dunia. Tetapi semata-mata karena kita, sebagai manusia, tidak mengizinkan diri kita dipakai oleh kuasa Allah untuk menyampaikan pekabaran-pekabaran surgawi dari Allah ini kepada dunia supaya kesudahan boleh datang.

Now I have an example of the speed of travel of angels.  Do you remember that in Daniel 9, Daniel was praying because he  wanted some wisdom about understanding a prophecy that said “Unto 2300 days and the Sanctuary shall be cleansed”,  which was in the previous chapter of Daniel 8:14?  And Daniel was praying because he wanted to understand  that time prophecy?  And if you read there in Daniel 9 it says that Gabriel,  when Daniel began his prayer, he left the heavenly throne,  and before Daniel finished his prayer  Gabriel was next to his side.  So how fast do angels travel?  They travel very, very swiftly.  And God wants these messages to go with utmost swiftness.

Sekarang saya punya contoh seberapa cepatnya malaikat bergerak. Apakah kalian ingat di Daniel 9, Daniel sedang berdoa karena dia ingin mendapatkan hikmat tentang pengertian suatu nubuatan yang bunyinya “Sampai lewat 2300 petang dan pagi maka Tempat Kudus itu akan dibersihkan” yang ada di pasal sebelumnya di Daniel 8:14? Dan Daniel sedang berdoa karena dia mau memahami waktu nubuatan itu. Dan jika kita membaca di Daniel 9, dikatakan Gabriel meninggalkan takhta surgawi saat Daniel mulai berdoa dan sebelum Daniel selesai Gabriel sudah berada di sisinya. Jadi seberapa cepatnya malaikat bergerak? Mereka bergerak dengan amat sangat cepat. Dan Allah menghendaki agar pekabaran-pekabaran ini disampaikan dengan kecepatan yang maksimal.

FACT 5. The messages are worldwide in scope. In other words, the messages are of heavenly origin,  they're to be proclaimed by human beings with the utmost velocity, with great power, and they are to be proclaimed in all of the world.  Now listen to what I'm going to tell you.  Most Christians today, most conservative Christians that is, Evangelicals, Pentecostals, etc., believe that the three  angels' messages are actually messages that will be proclaimed  during the tribulation, after the church has been  raptured to heaven.  In fact they believe that everything from Revelation 4,  all the way through Revelation 19, applies to the Jews  in the Middle East after the church has been  raptured to heaven. 

But my question regarding that is this, if this message, or these messages, because it's one message  composed of three parts.  If these messages are to be proclaimed only to the Jews,  why do we find that it says that these messages are supposed  to go to “every nation, kindred, tongue, and people”?  Obviously, these messages are not only for the Jews in the  Middle East. These messages are to be proclaimed on a worldwide  scale, which means that in order to proclaim them,  you have to have a worldwide people to announce them.  I'm just throwing that out. We're going to talk about that a little bit later on.  A worldwide message being proclaimed necessitates a  worldwide people that understand these messages,  and is willing to go out and preach these messages.  These messages are to go to every nation, kindred, tongue,  and people. They are global in extent. Notice Matthew 24:14.  You notice that the first angel's message speaks about preaching the everlasting gospel.  And then when you get to the end of the three angels' messages you have the harvest.  In other words, Jesus is seated on a cloud,  He has a sickle on His hand; the end has come.  The earth has been harvested.  In other words, the preaching of the gospel has come to an end. 

FAKTA 5.  Pekabaran-pekabaran itu skalanya mendunia. Dengan kata lain, pekabaran-pekabaran itu berasal dari surga, mereka itu harus disampaikan oleh manusia dengan kecepatan tertinggi, dengan kuasa besar, dan harus disampaikan ke seluruh dunia. Sekarang dengarkan apa yang akan saya katakan. Kebanyakan orang Kristen sekarang, Kristen konservatif, Evangelikal, Pentakostal, dll. meyakini bahwa pekabaran tiga malaikat sesungguhnya adalah pekabaran yang akan disampaikan pada masa kesesakan besar, setelah gereja [Kristen] diangkat ke Surga. Bahkan mereka meyakini segala sesuatu mulai Wahyu pasal 4 terus hingga Wahyu pasal 19, berlaku pada orang-orang Yahudi di Timur Tengah setelah gereja [Kristen] diangkat ke Surga.

Tetapi pertanyaan saya mengenai hal tersebut ialah, andai pekabaran ini ~ atau pekabaran-pekabaran ini, karena ini sebenarnya satu pekabaran yang terdiri atas tiga bagian ~ andai pekabaran-pekabaran ini harus disampaikan hanya kepada orang Yahudi, mengapa kita melihat dikatakan bahwa pekabaran-pekabaran itu harus disampaikan ke “semua bangsa, suku, bahasa dan kaum”? Jelas, pekabaran-pekabaran ini bukan hanya bagi orang-orang Yahudi di Timur Tengah. Pekabaran-pekabaran ini harus disampaikan dengan skala dunia, yang berarti untuk menyampaikannya harus ada manusia-manusia sedunia kepada siapa pekabaran itu disampaikan. Saya hanya melemparkan pendapat ini sekarang, nanti kita akan membicarakannya lagi.  Suatu pekabaran yang disampaikan untuk dunia membutuhkan manusia sedunia untuk memahami pekabaran-pekabaran ini dan yang bersedia keluar dan menyampaikan pekabaran-pekabaran ini. Pekabaran-pekabaran ini harus disampaikan kepada semua bangsa, suku, bahasa, dan kaum. Jangkauannya global. Perhatikan Matius 24:14. Kalian simak pekabaran malaikat pertama berbicara tentang menyampaikan injil yang kekal. Kemudian bila kita tiba di bagian akhir dari pekabaran tiga malaikat ini, terjadi penuaian. Dengan kata lain, Yesus duduk di awan, memegang sebuah sabit ditanganNya, kesudahan telah tiba. Dunia dituai. Dengan kata lain, penyampaian injil telah berakhir.

Now I want you to notice what Jesus said  in harmony with this.  Matthew 24:14 “And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached…” where? “…in all the world as a witness to all the nations and then the end will come.” 

And in Mark 16, the last few verses it says,  “And he said to them…”, Jesus says to the disciples, “… ‘Go into all the world, and preach the gospel  to every creature...”  Go into all the world and preach what?  And preach the gospel to whom? to the Jews?  No, preach the gospel to all the world.  “…He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.” 

Sekarang saya mau kalian simak, apa kata Yesus selaras dengan ini. Matius 24:14, “Dan Injil Kerajaan ini akan diberitakan…”  di mana?   “…di seluruh dunia menjadi kesaksian bagi semua bangsa, sesudah itu barulah tiba kesudahannya.”

Dan di Markus 16, ayat-ayatnya yang terakhir berkata,  “¹⁵ Lalu Ia berkata kepada mereka…” Yesus berkata kepada para murid,  “…’Pergilah ke seluruh dunia, beritakanlah Injil kepada segala makhluk’….” Pergilah ke seluruh dunia dan beritakan apa? Dan beritakan injil kepada siapa? Kepada orang Yahudi? Tidak! Beritakan injil kepada seluruh dunia.  “…¹⁶ Siapa yang percaya dan dibaptis akan diselamatkan, tetapi siapa yang tidak percaya akan dihukum.” [ayat 15-16]

So what is the purpose of the three angels' messages?  The purpose of the three angels' messages is to proclaim the  gospel to gather as many people as possible into God's camp.  In other words, to gather as many people as possible onto God's side.  That's the purpose of the three angels' messages.  They go to every nation, because Jesus, through the gospel,  wants to conquer the world for Himself. 

But do you know something very interesting that we're going  to study later on in Revelation?  And that is that the Devil also has three  counterfeit angels' messages. 

You say, “Now how is that?”  Go with me to Revelation 16.  We're just going to briefly introduce this.  Revelation 16, and I want to read verse 13 and verse 14,  16:13-14.  “And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs...” Let me ask you, What are unclean spirits? What were the unclean spirits that Jesus cast out when He  was on this earth? demons.  And what are demons? fallen angels.  Thank you very much. So notice it says here in Revelation 16:13, “…I saw three unclean spirits like frogs coming out of…” where? “…the mouth…”  What do you use your mouth for? to speak, right?  And this is not talking about eating, because we eat  through our mouth, too.  But it says here that the three unclean spirits  come out of the mouth.  In other words, it means that these three unclean spirits  are proclaiming a what? a message. That's right.  “…coming out of the mouth of the dragon...”  We're going to study this.  “...and out of the mouth of the beast,  and out of the mouth of the false prophet…”  What is the purpose of this trilogy of these three  counterfeit angels? Of these three evil spirits?  Why are they speaking it out of their mouths?  They have a purpose, and it's to gather the world  on the Devil's side.  Notice verse 14: “…For they are spirits of demons, performing signs, which go out to the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.” 

Jadi apa tujuan pekabaran tiga malaikat  ini? Tujuannya adalah memproklamasikan injil untuk mengumpulkan sebanyak mungkin orang ke kemah Allah. Dengan kata lain, untuk mengumpulkan sebanyak mungkin orang ke kubu Allah. Itulah tujuan pekabaran tiga malaikat. Mereka disampaikan kepada semua bangsa karena Yesus melalui Injil mau memenangkan dunia ini bagi DiriNya.

Tetapi tahukah kalian sesuatu yang sangat menarik yang akan kita pelajari nanti dari kitab Wahyu? Dan itu ialah, bahwa Iblis juga memiliki pekabaran tiga malaikat palsu.

Kalian berkata, “Apa itu?”

Marilah bersama saya ke Wahyu pasal 16. Kita hanya akan berkenalan dengan ini sejenak. Wahyu 16, dan saya ingin membacakan ayat 13 dan 14. 16:13-14. “¹³ Dan aku melihat tiga roh najis yang menyerupai katak…”  coba saya tanya, roh najis itu apa? Apa roh najis yang dibuang Yesus ketika Dia hidup di dunia? Iblis. Dan Iblis itu apa? Malaikat yang murtad, terima kasih banyak. Jadi, perhatikan di sini dikatakan, Wahyu 16:13  “…aku melihat tiga roh najis yang menyerupai katak keluar dari…” mana?  “…mulut…”  mulut dipakai untuk apa? Berbicara, benar? Ini tidak berbicara tentang makan, karena kita juga makan dengan mulut kita. Tetapi dikatakan di sini bahwa ketiga roh najis itu keluar dari mulut. Dengan kata lain ini berarti ketiga roh najis ini sedang memproklamasikan apa? Suatu pekabaran. Betul.  “…keluar dari mulut naga…” nanti ini akan kita pelajari,   “…dan dari mulut binatang dan dari mulut nabi palsu…”   Apa tujuan trilogi ketiga malaikat palsu ini? Dari ketiga roh najis ini? Mengapa mereka berbicara dari mulut? Mereka punya tujuan, yaitu mengumpulkan dunia ke pihak Iblis. Perhatikan ayat 14,  “…¹⁴ Itulah roh-roh setan yang mengadakan tanda-tanda ajaib, dan mereka pergi mendapatkan raja-raja di bumi dan seluruh dunia untuk mengumpulkan mereka guna peperangan pada hari besar, yaitu hari Allah Yang Mahakuasa.”

So how many groups of three messages do we have?  We have two groups of three messages.  We have God's three messages, which are proclaimed  from the mouth with power, the everlasting gospel.  The purpose is to gather the whole world on God's side.  But the Devil also has three counterfeit angels  that are called demons, and out of their mouths,  out of the mouths of the dragon, and the beast,  and the false prophet, these three angels proclaim their messages, and their messages also have the intention of gathering the whole world on whose side?  on the Devil's side. 

Jadi ada berapa kelompok dari tiga pekabaran ini? Ada dua kelompok dari tiga pekabaran ini. Ada tiga pekabaran dari Allah yang diproklamasikan dari mulut dengan kuasa, injil yang kekal, yang tujuannya adalah mengumpulkan seluruh dunia ke kubu Allah. Tetapi Iblis juga memiliki tiga malaikat palsu yang disebut setan, dan dari mulut mereka, mulut si naga, dan mulut Binatang, dan mulut nabi palsu, ketiga malaikat ini memproklamasikan pekabaran mereka, dan pekabaran ini tujuannya juga untuk mengumpulkan seluruh dunia ke kubu siapa? Ke kubu Iblis.

By the way, do you know the reason why God wants these three  angels' messages to go to the whole world? Simply because the Bible says that Babylon, who is called the harlot in Revelation 17, she controls all of the  peoples in the world. 

You say, “How's that?”  Go with me to Revelation 17, Revelation 17:1.  It says, “Then one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls  came and talked with me, saying to me, ‘Come, I will show  you the judgment of the great harlot who sits on many waters…”  Where does the harlot sit? on many waters.  What does that mean that she sits?  It means that she rules, she controls, right?  She sits on many waters.  Let me ask you, what are those many waters that she sits on? 

Go with me to verse 15, verse 15. It says: “Then he said to me, ‘The waters which you saw where the harlot sits are peoples, multitudes, nations and tongues.’”

Are those the same groups that the three angels' messages go to? Yes. 

Do the three angels' messages go to every nation, kindred, tongue, and people? Absolutely! 

Who does the harlot sit on? every nation, kindred, tongue and people. 

So why does God send these three messages?  He sends these three messages to say to the people upon whom the harlot sits, “Get out of there before the plagues  are poured out, and before you are destroyed.” 

Nah, tahukah kalian alasan mengapa Allah menghendaki pekabaran tiga malaikat ini disampaikan ke seluruh dunia? Semata-mata karena Alkitab berkata bahwa Babilon ~ yang disebut pelacur dalam Wahyu pasal 17 ~ dia yang mengendalikan semua bangsa di dunia.

Kalian berkata, “Kok bisa?”

Marilah bersama saya ke Wahyu pasal 17, Wahyu 17:1 “Lalu datanglah seorang dari ketujuh malaikat, yang membawa ketujuh cawan itu dan berkata kepadaku: ‘Mari ke sini, aku akan menunjukkan kepadamu keputusan atas pelacur besar, yang duduk di atas banyak air…”  Di mana perempuan pelacur ini duduk? Di atas banyak air. Apa maksudnya dia “duduk”? Artinya dia berkuasa, dia yang mengendalikan, betul? Dia duduk di atas banyak air. Coba saya tanya, “banyak air” yang didudukinya itu apa?

Marilah bersama saya ke ayat 15, dikatakan, “Lalu ia berkata kepadaku: ‘Semua air yang telah kaulihat, di mana wanita pelacur itu duduk, adalah suku dan orang banyak dan bangsa dan bahasa.’”

Apakah ini kelompok yang sama ke mana pekabaran tiga malaikat itu harus disampaikan? Ya.

Apakah pekabaran tiga malaikat itu disampaikan ke semua bangsa, suku, bahasa, dan kaum? Betul sekali!

Pelacur itu duduk di atas siapa? Semua bangsa, suku, bahasa, dan kaum.

Jadi mengapa Allah mengirim ketiga pekabaran itu? Allah mengirim tiga pekabaran itu untuk berkata kepada orang-orang yang diduduki si pelacur, “Keluarlah dari sana sebelum bala-bala itu dicurahkan dan sebelum kalian musnah.”

So the question is, which three messages are we  going to listen to?  Are we going to listen to God's three messages that are from  heavenly origin; they're the preaching of the everlasting  gospel, with absolute power and velocity,  to all of the world to gather people on God's side? Or are we going to accept the three messages of these evil  spirits, who are fallen angels, who have the intention of  gathering us, not on God's side, but on Satan's side?

You see, the book of Revelation tells us that there's only going to be two sides at the end of time: those who have the seal of God, and those who have the mark of the beast. 

So Fact 5 is that these messages are worldwide to counteract the worldwide message of these three  counterfeit angels' messages that come out of the mouth of the dragon, the beast, and the false prophet. 

Jadi pertanyaannya, tiga pekabaran yang mana yang akan kita dengarkan? Apakah kita akan mendengarkan tiga pekabaran Allah yang berasal dari Surga ~ yang menyampaikan injil yang kekal dengan kuasa mutlak dan kecepatan, kepada seluruh dunia untuk mengumpulkan manusia ke kubu Allah? Atau apakah kita akan menerima ketiga pekabaran roh-roh jahat yang adalah malaikat-malaikat yang murtad, yang niatnya adalah mengumpulkan kita bukan ke kubu Allah, tetapi ke kubu Setan?

Kalian lihat, kitab Wahyu mengatakan kepada kita bahwa pada akhir zaman hanya akan ada dua pihak: mereka yang memiliki meterai Allah, dan mereka yang memiliki tanda Binatang.

Jadi Fakta 5 ialah pekabaran-pekabaran ini sifatnya mendunia untuk mengkonter pekabaran mendunia ketiga malaikat palsu yang keluar dari mulut si naga, Binatang, dan nabi palsu.

Now let's go to  FACT 6. These messages are supposed to be  proclaimed in their proper order.  You say, “What do you mean by their proper order?”  You know, if you try to proclaim the third angel's message without proclaiming the first and the second before,  people will not be able to make sense out of it. In other words, the messages must be proclaimed in their order.  The first message we need to proclaim and understand first. Then we'll be ready to understand the second.  And after we understand the second we will be ready to understand the third. 

Now you say, “How do we know that they are sequential,  and that we need to study them in their order?”

Notice Revelation 14:6.  “Then I saw another angel flying in the midst of heaven…” Okay, so you have an angel that flies in the midst of heaven.  Now notice verse 8. “…And another angel…” What's the next word?  Another angel what? “…followed…”  Is there an order here? most certainly!  And then notice verse 9. “…Then a third angel followed them…” Is there an order to the three angels' message? Most certainly!  And if we get the order wrong people will never listen. 

You say, “What do you mean?”

Let me explain.  The reason why Babylon falls in the second angel's message  is because Babylon rejected the first angel's message.  Are you with me? When you go to Revelation 18 God says,  “Babylon is fallen, come out of her My people!” 

So people say, “Why should I come out?” 

You say, “Yeah, come out of her My people.” 

“Why should I come out?” 

Do you know the reason why?  Because Babylon has rejected the first angel's message.  So before people are ready to come out of Babylon  and join God's forces, they need to understand the reason why.  And the first angel's message gives you the reason why. 

The first angel, you see, has three imperatives.  It has three commands.  The first angel's message says, “..Fear God…”  By the way, that's not just counsel, that's not just,  I hope you'll do it. It is an imperative in the Greek language.  It says, “…Fear God, give glory to Him, because the hour of His  judgment has come, and worship Him who created the heavens,  the earth, and the fountains of waters.” 

·       The reason why Babylon falls is because she's not fearing God. So we need to understand what it means to fear God. 

·       The reason why Babylon has fallen is because she's not giving glory to God.  She's giving glory to herself. 

·       The reason why Babylon has fallen is because she refuses  to believe that the hour of God's judgment has come. 

·       The reason why Babylon has fallen is because Babylon  does not worship the Creator of the heavens, the earth,  the seas, and everything that is in them. 

In other words, for people to be willing to come out of  Babylon, the second angel's message,  in order for people to understand that Babylon is  fallen, they need to understand why Babylon is fallen.  Babylon is fallen because she refused the first angel's message.  Are you understanding what I'm saying? 

Sekarang mari kita ke FAKTA 6. Pekabaran-pekabaran ini seharusnya disampaikan dalam urutannya yang benar.

Kalian berkata, “Apa maksudnya urutannya yang benar?”

Kalian tahu, jika kalian berusaha menyampaikan pekabaran malaikat yang ketiga tanpa menyampaikan pekabaran yang pertama dan kedua lebih dulu, orang tidak bakal paham. Dengan kata lain, pesan-pesan itu harus disampaikan sesuai urutannya. Pekabaran yang pertama harus kita sampaikan dan dipahami dulu. Kemudian kita baru siap untuk memahami yang kedua. Dan setelah kita memahami yang kedua, kita akan siap memahami yang ketiga.

Sekarang kalian berkata, “Dari mana kita tahu pekabaran-pekabaran itu berurutan dan kita harus mempelajari mereka sesuai urutannya?”

Perhatikan Wahyu 14:6, “⁶ Dan aku melihat seorang malaikat lain terbang di tengah-tengah langit…” oke, jadi ada malaikat yang terbang di tengah-tengah langit. Sekarang perhatikan ayat 8,“…⁸ Dan seorang malaikat lain…” apa kata berikutnya?  “…mengikuti…”  apakah di sini ada urutannya? Tentu saja! Dan sekarang perhatikan ayat 9 “… ⁹ Dan seorang malaikat lain, malaikat ketiga, mengikuti mereka…” Apakah pekabaran tiga malaikat ini ada urutannya? Tentu saja. Karena itu jika kita mengacaukan urutannya, orang-orang tidak pernah mau mendengar.

Kalian berkata, “Maksudnya?”

Saya akan menjelaskan. Alasan mengapa dalam pekabaran malaikat yang kedua dikatakan Babilon roboh ialah karena Babilon menolak pekabaran malaikat yang pertama. Apakah kalian bisa mengikuti?

Jika kita ke Wahyu 18 dan Allah berkata, “Babilon sudah roboh, keluarlah dari sana, umatKu!”

Orang-orang akan berkata, “Kenapa saya harus keluar?”

Kita berkata, “Iya, keluarlah dari sana umat-Ku!”

“Kenapa saya harus keluar?”

Apakah kalian tahu alasannya kenapa?  Karena Babilon telah menolak pekabaran malaikat pertama. Maka sebelum orang-orang siap keluar dari Babilon dan bergabung dengan pasukan Allah, mereka harus mengerti apa alasannya. Dan pekabaran malaikat yang pertama memberikan alasannya.

Kalian lihat, malaikat yang pertama menyampaikan tiga perintah, tiga komando. Pekabaran malaikat yang pertama bunyinya,  “…‘Takutlah akan Allah…” ketauilah, ini bukan sekadar nasihat, ini bukan cuma, “semoga kamu melakukannya”, dalam bahasa Greeka ini adalah perintah! Dikatakan, “…‘Takutlah akan Allah dan muliakanlah Dia, karena telah tiba jam penghakiman-Nya, dan sembahlah Dia yang telah menjadikan langit dan bumi dan laut dan semua mata air.’"

·       Alasan mengapa Babilon roboh, karena dia tidak takut akan Allah. Jadi kita harus memahami apa maknanya takut akan Allah.

·       Alasan mengapa Babilon roboh, karena  dia tidak memuliakan Allah, dia memuliakan dirinya sendiri.

·       Alasan mengapa Babilon roboh, karena dia tidak mau percaya bahwa jam penghakiman Allah telah tiba.

·       Alasan mengapa Babilon roboh, karena Babilon tidak mau menyembah Sang Pencipta langit, bumi dan laut dan segala yang ada di dalamnya.

Dengan kata lain, supaya orang-orang mau keluar dari Babilon, pekabaran malaikat yang kedua, supaya orang-orang paham bahwa Babilon sudah roboh, mereka harus memahami mengapa Babilon roboh. Babilon roboh karena dia menolak pekabaran malaikat pertama. Apakah kalian paham apa yang saya katakan?

And let me share this with you: If we do not proclaim  the first angel's message, people will feel no incentive  to come out of Babylon in the second angel's message.  And they will feel no urgency to receive the final warning  in the third angel's message.  Because the third angel's message says, “Woe if you worship  the beast, or if you worship his image, or if you receive his  number, or if you receive his mark.  Because you will receive the wrath of God  poured out without mixture.”  Let me ask you, are people going to want to listen to that  warning and not worship the beast, or his image,  or receive the mark, or receive the number of his name  if they don't understand the first angel's message?  Absolutely not! You see, we have a sequence.  The first angel's message tells us the positive message of God.  The second message says, “Get out of Babylon”, because Babylon has  rejected the first angel's message. And then the third angel's message says, “If you don't  get out you'll end up worshipping  the beast and his image.  You'll end up receiving the mark,  and you'll receive the plagues.” 

So basically in the first angel's message  you have a command of God.  In the second message you have a call to come out from where  that command is not being obeyed.  And in the third message God says, If you don't come out  the plagues, and the wrath of God will fall upon you.  So these three messages must be proclaimed  in their proper order. 

Izinkan saya berbagi ini dengan kalian: Jika kita tidak menyampaikan pekabaran malaikat pertama, orang-orang tidak merasakan keuntungannya meninggalkan Babilon saat pekabaran malaikat yang kedua. Dan mereka tidak merasakan betapa pentingnya menerima peringatan terakhir pekabaran malaikat yang ketiga, karena pekabaran malaikat yang ketiga berkata, “Celakalah jika kamu menyembah Binatang itu, atau jika kamu menyembah patungnya, atau jika kamu menerima angkanya, atau jika kamu menerima tandanya. Karena kamu akan menerima murka Allah yang dicurahkan tanpa campuran.” Coba saya tanya, apakah orang-orang mau mendengarkan peringatan itu dan tidak menyembah Binatang itu, atau patungnya atau menerima tandanya atau menerima angka namanya jika mereka tidak memahami pekabaran malaikat yang pertama? Sama sekali tidak! Kalian lihat, ada urut-urutannya. Pekabaran malaikat pertama mengatakan kepada kita bagian positifnya dari pesan Allah ini. Pekabaran yang kedua berkata, “Keluarlah dari Babilon” karena Babilon telah menolak pekabaran malaikat pertama. Kemudian pekabaran malaikat ketiga berkata, “jika kamu tidak keluar, akhirnya kamu akan menyembah Binatang itu dan patungnya, akhirnya kamu akan menerima tandanya dan kamu akan menerima bala-balanya.”

Jadi pada dasarnya di pekabaran malaikat pertama itu perintah dari Allah. Di pekabaran kedua itu panggilan untuk keluar dari tempat yang tidak mematuhi perintah tersebut. Dan di pekabaran ketiga Allah berkata, jika kamu tidak keluar, maka bala-bala, dan murka Allah akan jatuh ke atasmu. Jadi ketika pesan ini harus disampaikan dalam urutannya yang tepat.

Let's go to FACT 7.  These messages are God's final appeal and message to the world before the close of human probation and the second coming of Jesus. These are God's last message. There will be no further message besides these three. 

And you say, “Well, Pastor Bohr, how do you know that?”  For the simple reason that as soon as the third message is  finished: you have message #1, #2, and #3.  As soon as #3 is proclaimed, notice what we find  in chapter 14, and verse 14, Revelation 14:14.  “And I looked, and behold a white cloud, and upon the cloud one sat like unto the Son of man, having on His head a golden crown, and in His hand a sharp sickle.”

What event is being described in that verse?  The coming of Christ.  When does the coming of Christ take place in the  sequence of Revelation 14?  It comes immediately after the third angel's message is  proclaimed, which means that these three messages are  God's final message to the world,  and then the end will come.  Are you understanding my point? 

Marilah ke FAKTA 7.  Pekabaran-pekabaran ini adalah permohonan dan pesan Allah yang terakhir kepada dunia sebelum berakhirnya masa percobaan bagi manusia dan kedatangan kedua Yesus. Ini adalah pesan-pesan Allah yang terakhir. Setelah ini tidak ada lagi pesan-pesan yang lain.

Dan kalian berkata, “Nah, Pastor Bohr, dari mana Anda tahu itu?”

Semata-mata karena begitu pekabaran yang ketiga selesai ~ jadi ada pekabaran #1, #2, dan #3 ~ dan begitu #3 disampaikan, perhatikan apa yang kita temui di pasal 14:14, Wahyu 14:14: “Dan aku melihat: sesungguhnya, ada suatu awan putih, dan di atas awan itu duduk seorang seperti Anak Manusia dengan sebuah mahkota emas di atas kepala-Nya dan sebilah sabit tajam di tangan-Nya.”

Peristiwa apa yang digambarkan ayat ini? Kedatangan Kristus! Kapan kedatangan Kristus terjadi dalam urut-urutan Wahyu 14? Segera setelah pekabaran malaikat ketiga disampaikan, berarti ketiga pekabaran itu adalah pesan-pesan terakhir dari Allah kepada dunia, setelah itu kesudahan akan datang. Apakah kalian paham maksud saya?

So you have the three messages and then Jesus is seen sitting  on a cloud, with a sickle in His hand, and He's going to come  to harvest the earth.  He's going to come to gather His people, and He's going to come  to destroy the wicked.  You can continue reading it there in Revelation 14. 

So let me ask you, How urgent is it for us to understand  these three angels' messages in these last days?  It's a matter of life and death, because it's the last message.  There will be no other message that God will give  to the world after this one. 

Jadi ada tiga pekabaran ini, lalu Yesus terlihat duduk di atas awan dengan sabit di tanganNya, dan Dia akan datang untuk menuai bumi. Dia akan datang untuk mengumpulkan umatNya, dan Dia akan datang untuk memusnahkan orang-orang jahat. Kalian bisa melanjutkan membacanya di Wahyu 14.

Jadi coba saya tanya, seberapa pentingkah bagi kita untuk memahami pekabaran tiga malaikat ini di masa akhir sekarang? Ini adalah urusan hidup atau mati, karena ini adalah pesan yang terakhir. Tidak aka nada pesan lain yang diberikan Allah kepada dunia setelah pesan ini.

Now let's go to FACT 8. The proclamation of these three messages will be accompanied  by the power of the latter rain. Do you understand what I mean by the latter rain?  You know, in Biblical areas you have the early rain,  and you have the latter rain.  The early rain is that rain that falls in the spring,  that causes the seed to germinate and to begin its growth.  And then the rain continues falling throughout the season. And then eventually you have the latter rain.  And the purpose of the latter rain is to ripen that which has  been growing through the influence of the early rain. 

Now let me ask you, when was the early rain poured out  according to Scripture?  It was poured out when God poured out the Holy Spirit  on the day of Pentecost.  Isn't that correct?  The Holy Spirit was poured out with power.  Let me ask you, did the disciples go out and preach the  gospel with power?  Were thousands upon thousands gathered on God's side?  Did multitudes come from the side of the Devil to the side of God? Absolutely!  But the Bible teaches that at the end of time God is going  to have a people that will proclaim the three angels'  messages under the power of the latter rain,  with the purpose of maturing the human race,  and preparing the human race for the harvest.  For the harvest on God's side, which is the righteous,  and for the harvest of the wicked, which are called the  grapes in Revelation 14, on the Devil's side. 

You say, “How do we know that these messages are accompanied  by the latter rain?”

Well, let's go back to Revelation 14, and you're going  to see that God is going to pour out the Holy Spirit with great  power upon the world.  And do you know what's going to happen when He pours  out His Holy Spirit?  God's people will proclaim the message just like the disciples did.  And thousands upon thousands will come over to the Lord's  side in preparation for the second coming of Jesus. 

And the whole world will be polarized into two groups,  as a result of the power, and the message that  goes along with the power. 

You say, “How do we know that?”

Well, notice Revelation 14 and let's read verse 14.  Immediately after the third angel's message it says: “Then I looked, and behold a white cloud, and on the cloud  sat one like the Son of man, having on his head a golden  crown, and in his hand a sharp sickle.  And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud  voice to him that sat on the cloud,..” now notice this, “… ‘Thrust in your sickle, and reap, for the time has come for you to reap; for the harvest  of the earth is ripe.’…” 

Marilah ke FAKTA 8.  Proklamasi ketiga pekabaran ini akan disertai oleh kuasa hujan akhir. Apakah kalian paham maksud saya mengenai hujan akhir? Kalian tahu, di era Alkitab, ada hujan awal dan ada hujan akhir. Hujan awal adalah hujan yang jatuh di musim semi, yang membuat benih itu berkecambah dan mulai tumbuh. Lalu hujannya berlanjut selama masa itu. Dan akhirnya ada hujan akhir. Tujuan dari hujan akhir ialah untuk mematangnya apa yang telah bertumbuh melalui dampak hujan awal.

Nah, coba saya tanya, kapan hujan awal itu dicurahkan menurut Alkitab? Itu dicurahkan ketika Allah mencurahkan Roh Kudus pada hari Pentakosta. Betul, kan? Roh Kudus dicurahkan dengan kuasa. Coba saya tanya, apakah para murid pergi dan menyampaikan Injil dengan kuasa? Apakah beribu-ribu orang terkumpul ke kubu Allah? Apakah banyak orang yang berasal dari kubu Iblis datang ke kubu Allah? Benar sekali! Tetapi Alkitab mengajarkan bahwa pada akhir zaman, Allah akan memiliki suatu umat yang akan menyampaikan pekabaran tiga malaikat di bawah kuasa hujan akhir, dengan tujuan untuk mematangkan umat manusia dan mempersiapkan umat manusia bagi penuaian. Untuk dituai di pihak Allah, yaitu orang-orang yang benar; dan untuk penuaian orang-orang jahat di pihak Iblis, yang disebut sebagai anggur-anggur di Wahyu pasal 14.

Kalian berkata, “Dari mana kita tahu bahwa pekabaran ini disertai oleh hujan akhir?”

Nah, marilah kita kembali ke Wahyu pasal 14, dan kita akan melihat bahwa Allah akan mencurahkan Roh Kudus dengan kuasa besar ke atas dunia. Dan tahukah kalian apa yang akan terjadi ketika Allah mencurahkan Roh KudusNya? Umat Allah akan menyampaikan pekabaran itu sama seperti yang dilakukan para muridNya. Dan beribu-ribu orang akan masuk ke kubu Tuhan sebagai persiapan kedatangan kedua Yesus.

Dan seluruh dunia akan terpolarisasi menjadi dua kelompok, sebagai akibat kuasa dan pekabaran yang disertai kuasa.

Kalian berkata, “Dari mana kita tahu itu?

Nah, simak Wahyu 14 dan marilah kita baca ayat 14. Segera setelah pekabaran malaikat ketiga, dikatakan, “Dan aku melihat: sesungguhnya, ada suatu awan putih, dan di atas awan itu duduk seorang seperti Anak Manusia dengan sebuah mahkota emas di atas kepala-Nya dan sebilah sabit tajam di tangan-Nya. ¹⁵ Dan keluarlah seorang malaikat lain dari Bait Suci; dan ia berseru dengan suara nyaring kepada Dia yang duduk di atas awan itu…” sekarang simak ini,   “…‘Ayunkanlah sabit-Mu itu dan tuailah, karena sudah tiba saatnya untuk menuai; sebab tuaian di bumi sudah masak."

Let me ask you, in Biblical times what was it that  ripened the harvest?  What ripened the harvest was the latter rain.  The early rain began the germination process.  You know, like in Fresno you have the rain in the spring?  Right? And that germinates the seed, and leaves it to grow. So you have the harvest later on.  Well, the same thing you have in Biblical times. By the way, the climate in Fresno is very similar to the climate in Israel.  We're in the sub-tropical zone just like they are.  That's why a lot of our products are the same products  that you have in Israel.  Because the weather patterns are very, very similar. 

Coba saya tanya, di era Alkitab apa yang membuat tuaian masak? Apa yang membuat tuaian masak ialah hujan akhir. Hujan awal memulai proses pertumbuhan. Kalian tahu, seperti di Fresno di musim semi kan hujan? Benar? Dan itu menumbuhkan benih dan membiarkannya bertumbuh supaya nanti ada tuaian. Nah, kita mengalami yang sama yang ada di era Alkitab. Nah, iklim di Fresno sangat mirip dengan iklim di Israel, kita berada di zona sub-tropis, sama seperti mereka. Itulah sebabnya banyak hasil bumi kita sama dengan yang ada di Israel karena pola iklimnya amat sangat mirip.

And so you have the early rain, and you have the latter rain.  The purpose of the latter rain is with the three angels' messages.  The power of the Holy Spirit is poured out upon His people.  And as a result the whole earth is ripened either as the harvest  of the earth, which is the righteous, or the grapes of  the earth, which is the wicked.  What this means is that the three angels' messages are going  to ripen the world in two different ways.  The people who reject these three angels' messages  will be the grapes.  They'll be fully ripened against these messages.  Whereas on the other side you have those who receive these  messages with the power of the Holy Spirit, and they will be also ripened, but they will be ripened on God's side.  And when all of the world has made its decision to be on one  side or the other, because the messages have been proclaimed  with the power of the Holy Spirit,  then probation will close, and then Jesus will come. 

Jadi ada hujan awal dan ada hujan akhir. Tujuan hujan akhir itu berkaitan dengan pekabaran tiga malaikat. Kuasa Roh Kudus dicurahkan ke atas umatNya. Dan sebagai akibatnya, seluruh dunia menjadi masak, baik itu penuaian bumi yaitu orang-orang benar; atau penuaian anggur-anggur bumi yaitu orang-orang jahat. Maksudnya ialah, pekabaran tiga malaikat akan membuat bumi masak dalam dua bagian yang berbeda. Mereka yang menolak pekabaran tiga malaikat akan menjadi anggur-anggurnya, mereka akan menjadi masak betul dalam perlawanan terhadap pekabaran-pekabaran ini. Sebaliknya di pihak lain ada mereka yang menerima pekabaran-pekabaran ini dengan kuasa Roh Kudus, dan mereka juga akan menjadi masak, tetapi mereka akan masak di kubu Allah. Dan ketika seluruh dunia telah mengambil keputusannya untuk berada di satu kubu atau kubu yang lain ~ karena pekabaran ini telah disampaikan dengan kuasa Roh Kudus ~ maka masa percobaan manusia akan berakhir lalu Yesus akan datang.

FACT 9.  And this is a very important fact.  The three angels' messages are linked with the most holy place of the heavenly Sanctuary. The three angels' messages are linked with what? With the most holy place of the heavenly Sanctuary.

You say, “Now what's this issue of the heavenly Sanctuary?”

Let me just say that God has a Sanctuary in heaven,  which is the great original.  The one that He told Moses to build in the wilderness was only  a copy of, it was actually a copy of a… how would you say?...  a small scale model of the real Sanctuary  that we find in heaven.  And in the Sanctuary you had three apartments: 

·       You had the court, where the sacrifices were offered. 

·       You had the holy place where the priest entered to intercede  for the sins of Israel. 

·       And you had the most holy place where the ark of the  covenant was found.  And inside the ark of the covenant was God's holy law. 

Now you say, “Pastor, how do you know that the three angels'  messages need to be connected, or linked with the most holy  place of the Sanctuary?” 

Let me give you some indications why.  Day after tomorrow, in our third lecture in this series,  we're going to study what it means to fear God.  In Scripture very, very frequently when you find that  expression, “fear God”, it is linked with keeping  the commandments of God.  Just to give you one example, in Ecclesiastes 12:13 it says: ”Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the  whole duty of man. For God will bring every work into…” what? “…judgment.”

Notice how similar to Revelation 14 where it says, “Fear God,  and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment has come….”  Ecclesiastes says, “Fear God, and keep his commandments.  For God will bring every work into…”  what? “… into judgment.” 

Fearing God is coupled with keeping God's commandments. 

Now let me ask you, in which apartment of the Sanctuary  were the ten commandments contained?  They were contained in the most holy place.  Furthermore, the first angel's message calls people to  worship the Creator. 

Let me ask you, what sign did God give of  worship to the Creator?  You go back to Genesis 2.  It says that at the end of creation week,  God rested on which day?  God rested on the seventh day. And then He commanded Adam and Eve to rest every seventh day  in commemoration of the work of creation.  Now let me ask you, where is the Sabbath found in the Sanctuary?  It is found in the tables of the law,  and the tables of the law were where?  They were in the most holy place of the Sanctuary. 

By the way, the three angels' messages end by speaking  about a people who keep the commandments of God.  So the commandments are involved, but the commandments  are in the most holy place.  The first angel's message says, Worship the Creator.  The sign of the Creator is the Sabbath.  The Sabbath was in the law.  And the law is in the most holy place of the Sanctuary. 

FAKTA 9. Dan ini adalah fakta yang sangat penting. Pekabaran tiga malaikat terkait dengan bilik Mahakudus dari Bait Suci surgawi. Pekabaran tiga malaikat terkait dengan apa? Dengan bilik Mahakudus Bait Suci surgawi.

Kalian berkata, “Nah, ini isu apa tentang Bait Suci surgawi?”

Saya akan berkata bahwa Allah memiliki Bait Suci di Surga, yang asli, yang sangat besar. Yang Dia suruh Musa mendirikan di padang gurun hanyalah suatu tiruan dari ah… bagaimana harus saya katakan?... suatu maket berskala kecil dari Bait Suci yang asli yang ada di Surga. Dan di Bait Suci [yang di dunia]  ada tiga bagian:

·       Ada pelataran, di mana kurban dipersembahkan.

·       Ada bilik Kudus di mana imam-imam masuk untuk menjadi perantara bagi dosa-dosa Israel.

·       Lalu ada bilik Mahakudus di mana terdapat tabut perjanjian. Dan di dalam tabut perjanjian itu terdapat Hukum Allah yang kudus.

Sekarang kalian berkata, “Pastor, dari mana Anda tahu pekabaran tiga malaikat harus dihubungkan atau dikaitkan dengan bilik Mahakudus Bait Suci?

Saya akan memberikan beberapa indikasi mengapa. Lusa depan, dalam ceramah kita yang ketiga serial ini, kita akan mempelajari apa maknanya takut akan Allah. Dalam Kitab Suci, amat sering bila kita bertemu dengan istilah “takut akan Allah”, itu dikaitkan dengan memelihara perintah-perintah Allah. Sebagai contoh, di Pengkhotbah 12:13 dikatakan, “…takutlah akan Allah dan peliharalah perintah-perintah-Nya, karena ini adalah kewajiban setiap orang. ¹⁴ Karena Allah akan membawa setiap perbuatan ke…”  mana?  “…penghakiman…”

Perhatikan betapa miripnya ini dengan Wahyu 14 di mana dikatakan, “…‘Takutlah akan Allah dan muliakanlah Dia, karena telah tiba jam penghakiman-Nya…’” Pengkhotbah berkata, “…takutlah akan Allah dan peliharalah perintah-perintah-Nya, karena ini adalah kewajiban setiap orang. ¹⁴ Karena Allah akan membawa setiap perbuatan ke…”  mana?  “…penghakiman…”

Takut akan Allah dikaitkan dengan menuruti perintah-perintah Allah.

Sekarang saya mau tanya, di bilik mana di Bait Suci ditempatkan Sepuluh Perintah Allah? Di bilik Mahakudus.

Lebih jauh, pekabaran malaikat pertama memanggil orang untuk menyembah Sang Pencipta.

Coba saya tanya, tanda apa yang diberikan Allah untuk menyembah Sang Pencipta? Kita mundur ke kitab Kejadian pasal 2. Dikatakan pada akhir minggu penciptaan, Allah berhenti pada hari apa? Allah berhenti pada hari ketujuh. Lalu Dia memerintahkan kepada Adam dan Hawa untuk berhenti bekerja setiap hari yang ketujuh, untuk memperingati pekerjaan penciptaan.

Nah, coba saya tanya, di mana ditemukan Sabat dalam Bait Suci? Ada di dalam loh batu Hukum, dan loh batu Hukum ini ada di mana? Mereka ada di bilik Mahakudus dari Bait Suci.

Nah, pekabaran tiga malaikat diakhiri dengan pembicaraan tentang suatu umat yang memelihara perintah-perintah Allah. Maka perintah-perintah Allah terkait, dan perintah-perintah Allah ada di bilik Mahakudus. Pekabaran malaikat yang pertama berkata, Sembahlah sang Pencipta. Tanda Sang Pencipta ialah hari Sabat. Sabat ada di dalam Hukum. Dan Hukum ada di bilik Mahakudus Bait Suci.  

But there's more! The first angel's message also tells us that the hour of God's judgment has come.  Let me ask you, In which apartment of the Sanctuary  in the Old Testament do you have an illustration of the judgment? 

Once a year on the great Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement,  the great judgment day of Israel,  those who were faithful to God, and those who were unfaithful  to God were separated one from another in the judgment when the law of God came into view.  And in what apartment did the Day of Atonement  take place primarily? It took place in the most holy place.  That's where the blood was sprinkled, was on the mercy  seat, in the most holy place, to satisfy the demands of the law. 

So when the first angel's message says “the hour of His  judgment has come”, immediately we say, “If this is the judgment,  it must involve the law, because we will be judged by the perfect  law of liberty”, and the law was in which apartment?  In the most holy place of the heavenly Sanctuary. 

Tapi masih ada lagi! Pekabaran malaikat pertama juga memberitahu kita bahwa jam penghakiman Allah telah tiba. Coba saya tanya, di bilik mana dari Bait Suci di Perjanjian Lama kita temukan gambaran tentang penghakiman?

Sekali setahun pada hari Yom Kippur yang agung, Hari Pendamaian [Grafirat], hari penghakiman besar bangsa Israel, mereka yang setia kepada Allah dan mereka yang tidak setia dipisahkan satu sama lain dalam penghakiman ketika Hukum Allah ditunjukkan. Dan Hari Pendamaian ini utamanya terjadi di bilik yang mana? Di bilik Mahakudus, di sanalah darah itu dipercikkan, di atas Tutup Pendamaian, dalam bilik Mahakudus, untuk memenuhi tuntutan Hukum.

Jadi ketika pekabaran malaikat pertama berkata, “jam penghakimanNya telah tiba”, segera kita akan berkata, “Jika ini adalah penghakiman, tentunya melibatkan hukum karena kita akan dihakimi oleh Hukum yang memerdekakan.” Nah, Hukum itu ada di bilik mana? Di bilik Mahakudus dalam Bait Suci surgawi.

But there's more. Do you know that this passage that we're  studying actually begins in Revelation 11:19?  Do you know what Revelation 11: 19 says?  Where this whole passage of the three  angels' messages begins?  It begins by saying that John saw heaven opened,  and the temple of God in heaven was opened.  And what was seen in His temple? The ark of His covenant. 

Let me ask you, where was the ark of the  covenant in the Sanctuary?  The ark of His covenant was in the most holy place.  So this whole passage that has the three angels' messages, in the heart of the book of Revelation, begins with the  opening of the most holy place where the  ark of the covenant is. 

Tetapi masih ada lagi. Tahukah kalian bahwa perikop yang kita pelajari sesungguhnya berawal di Wahyu 11:19? Tahukah kalian apa kata Wahyu 11:19 di mana perikop dari pekabaran tiga malaikat ini berawal? Mulainya dengan mengatakan, Yohanes melihat Surga terbuka dan Bait Suci Allah di Surga terbuka. Dan apa yang tampak dalam Bait SuciNya? Tabut PerjanjianNya.

Coba saya tanya, di Bait Suci surgawi, di manakah Tabut Perjanjian itu? Ada di bilik Mahakudus. Maka seluruh perikop yang berisikan pekabaran tiga malaikat ini, yang berada di tengah-tengah kitab Wahyu, dimulai dengan terbukanya bilik Mahakudus di mana Tabut Perjanjian itu berada.

And then, of course, you have the dragon introduced  in chapter 12. You have the beast introduced  in Revelation 13 the first 10 verses.  And then you have the second beast, the image to the beast,  introduced into the latter half of Revelation 13.  And then in chapter 14  you have the hour of His judgment. And interestingly enough, when you get to Revelation 15,  the first part of the chapter says that the temple of God  in heaven is now closed.  And no one can enter the temple until the seven last plagues  have been poured out, because probation has closed.  Isn't that interesting that you have this passage? 

·       Revelation 11:19, the Most Holy place is opened. 

·       The ark of His covenant is seen. 

·       And then you have an introduction to the dragon,  the beast, and the false prophet, which we're going to  study in connection with the three angels' messages. 

·       And then God warns against the beast, and his image,  and his mark in the three angels' messages. 

·       And after that warning we find that the temple in heaven  closes; the most holy place closes.  No one is able to enter the temple anymore,  because probation has closed.

Kemudian tentu saja, di pasal 12 naga itu diperkenalkan, Binatang itu diperkenalkan di Wahyu pasal 13 dalam 10 ayatnya yang pertama. Lalu ada binatang yang kedua, patung Binatang itu, diperkenalkan di paro kedua dari Wahyu pasal 13. Lalu di pasal 14 ada jam penghakimanNya. Dan yang cukup menarik, saat kita tiba di Wahyu 15, bagian pertama dari pasal itu mengatakan Bait Suci Allah di Surga sekarang ditutup, dan tidak ada yang bisa masuk ke dalamnya hingga ketujuh malapetaka yang terakhir sudah dicurahkan semua, karena masa percobaan manusia telah berakhir. Apakah perikop ini tidak menarik?

·       Wahyu 11:19, bilik Mahakudus terbuka.

·       Tabut Perjanjian tampak.

·       Kemudian diperkenalkan si naga, Binatang itu, dan nabi palsu, yang akan kita pelajari sehubungan dengan pekabaran tiga malaikat.

·       Lalu dalam pekabaran tiga malaikat itu, Allah memperingatkan terhadap Binatang itu, patungnya, tandanya.

·       Dan setelah peringatan tersebut kita melihat Bait Suci surgawi tertutup, bilik Mahakudus tertutup. Tidak ada yang bisa masuk ke dalam Bait Suci itu lagi karena masa percobaan bagi manusia sudah berakhir.

FACT 10. The acceptance or rejection of these messages is not a trivial matter. In fact it is a matter of life or death. It's not optional.  You can't say, “Oh, you know, if you accept them fine,  and if you don't accept them that's fine.  You know, ultimately everybody is going to the same place.”  My Bible tells me that those who listen to these three angels'  messages will receive the seal of God.  And those who reject these messages will receive  the mark of the beast.  And one group will be saved in God's kingdom.  The other group will receive the wrath of God.  So let me ask you, are these messages a matter of  life and death? They most certainly are! 

FAKTA 10.  Penerimaan atau penolakan pekabaran-pekabaran ini bukanlah masalah sepele, malah sebenarnya masalah hidup atau mati. Ini bukan suatu opsi. Kita tidak bisa berkata, “Oh, jika kamu menerimanya, baik; dan jika kamu tidak menerimanya, tidak apa-apa. Kalian tahu, akhirnya semua orang toh harus pergi ke tempat yang sama.” Alkitab saya mengatakan, mereka yang mendengarkan pekabaran tiga malaikat ini, akan menerima meterai Allah dan mereka yang menolak pekabaran-pekabaran ini akan menerima tanda Binatang. Dan satu kelompok akan selamat berada di kerajaan Allah, kelompok yang lain akan menerima murka Allah. Jadi saya tanya, apakah pekabaran-pekabaran ini masalah hidup atau mati? Tentu saja!

Now, when I was in school I used to like bonuses.  “Say, teacher, could you please give us a bonus question?”  So I'm going to give you two bonus  facts  to end our study today. 

Nah, sewaktu di sekolah, saya suka kalau diberi bonus. “Pak guru, tolong berikan pertanyaan bonus kepada kita!” Jadi sekarang saya akan memberi kalian dua fakta bonus untuk mengakhiri pelajaran kita hari ini.

FACT 11. Praise the Lord that there will be a people,  because the question is, is God going to have a people  in the world who will accept these messages  and eventually be saved?
There's good news. God will have a people who will listen to these messages.  They will accept them, they will proclaim them to the world,  and they will be faithful till the end, and they will be saved.  Notice Revelation 15, Revelation 15:2-4.  Notice here you have a group that's victorious over what the  three angels' message mentions: the beast, his image,  his number, his mark.  There's a group that's going to be victorious, because they  receive the three angels' messages.  It says in verse 2: “² And I saw something like a sea of glass mingled with fire: and those who had the victory…” haaa, I love that! “…those who had the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name, standing on the sea of glass, having harps of God..”  Is there going to be a group that’s going to reject the beast, his image and his mark and his number? You’d better believe it! And they are going to be victorious. Verse 3,     “…³ And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, ‘Great and marvellous are Thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are Thy ways, o,  King of saints…” So there will be a group that listens to these messages and they will ultmately be saved in Christ’s kingdom they will stand  on the sea of glass and they will sing the song of Moses and the Lamb. They will not worship the beast.

Let me ask you something, do you think it is important to know who the beast is? How are you going to not worship the beast  if you don't know who he is?  Is it important to know what the mark of the beast is?  Of course! If you don't know what the mark of the beast is,  how can you be sure that you won't receive it?  Is it important to know what the image to the beast is?  Of course! If you don't know what the image is,  you might end up worshipping it. 

Some people say, “Oh no, when the temple is rebuilt over in the  Middle East, and the anti-Christ,  this nasty individual sits in the temple, and he raises up  this great big statute.  I'll say, ‘Oh, that's the image to the beast!’  I'm not worshipping that.”  Do you think the Devil is dumb?  Do you think it's going to be that obvious?  Do you think that it's talking about a literal image,  and a literal individual that's going to sit in a rebuilt  Jerusalem temple? Not according to what we're going to study  from the three angels' messages in Scripture. 

FAKTA 11. Puji Tuhan akan ada suatu umat ~ karena pertanyaannya ialah, apakah Allah akan memiliki suatu umat di dunia yang akan menerima pekabaran-pekabaran ini dan akhirnya akan diselamatkan?

Ada kabar baik. Allah akan memiliki umat yang mau mendengarkan pekabaran-pekabaran ini. Mereka mau menerimanya, mereka akan mengumandangkannya kepada dunia, dan mereka akan tetap setia hingga akhir, dan mereka akan  diselamatkan. Perhatikan Wahyu 15, Wahyu 15:2-4. Perhatikan di sini ada suatu kelompok yang mendapatkan kemenangan atas apa yang disebut oleh pekabaran tiga malaikat itu: yaitu atas Binatang itu, patungnya, angkanya, dan tandanya. Ada suatu kelompok yang akan menang, karena mereka menerima pekabaran tiga malaikat ini. Dikatakan di ayat 2, “²  Dan aku melihat sesuatu bagaikan lautan kaca bercampur api, dan mereka yang telah mengalahkan…”  ah, saya suka ini,  “…binatang itu, dan patungnya, dan tandanya, dan bilangan namanya, berdiri di atas laut kaca, pada mereka ada kecapi Allah…”  apakah nanti akan ada satu kelompok yang akan menolak Binatang itu, patungnya, tandanya dan angkanya? Percayalah! Dan mereka bakal menang! Ayat 3,  “…³ Dan mereka menyanyikan nyanyian Musa,  hamba Allah, dan nyanyian  Anak Domba, bunyinya: ‘Besar dan ajaib segala pekerjaan-Mu, ya Tuhan, Allah, Yang Mahakuasa! Adil dan benar segala jalan-Mu, ya Raja semua orang saleh!...” jadi bakal ada satu kelompok yang mendengarkan pekabaran-pekabaran ini dan mereka akhirnya akan diselamatkan dan berada dalam kerajaan Kristus, mereka akan berdiri di atas laut kaca dan mereka akan menyanyikan lagu Musa dan lagu Anak Domba. Mereka tidak akan menyembah Binatang itu.  

Coba saya tanya, menurut kalian apakah penting kita tahu siapa Binatang itu? Bagaimana kita bisa tidak menyembah Binatang itu jika kita tidak tahu siapa dia? Apa penting untuk mengetahui apa tanda Binatang itu? Tentu! Jika kita tidak tahu apa tanda Binatang itu bagaimana kita bisa memastikan kita tidak menerimanya? Apakah penting mengetahui apa patung Binatang itu? Tentu! Jika kita tidak tahu apa patung itu, kita bisa saja menyembahnya.

Ada orang yang berkata, “Oh, tidak. Pada waktu Bait Suci itu dibangun kembali di Timur Tengah, dan si Antikristus ~ yaitu si jahat yang duduk di dalam Bait Suci dan dia mendirikan sebuah patung yang besar, nanti saya akan berkata, ‘Oh, ya itulah patung Binatang!’  Saya tidak akan menyembahnya.”

Menurut kalian apakah Iblis itu dungu? Menurut kalian apakah semuanya akan dibuat sejelas itu? Menurut kalian apakah ini berbicara tentang sebuah patung beneran dan seorang manusia beneran yang akan duduk dalam Bait Suci Yerusalem yang telah dibangun kembali? Menurut apa yang kita pelajari dari pekabaran tiga malaikat di Alkitab, tidak demikian.

Bonus Fact 2. And this will be  FACT 12. Listen to this: the central issue which will divide the world into two camps will be the issue of worship and obedience.

You say, “How do we know that?”  Notice Revelation 14:6, 7 once again,  as we draw this to a close. 

^“6 And I saw another angel flying in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach to those who dwell on the earth,  to every nation, tribe, tongue, and people, ⁷ saying with a loud voice, ‘Fear God, and give glory to Him; for the hour of His judgment has come, and worship Him who made the heavens, and earth,  the sea, and springs of waters.’”

Why do you suppose the first angel's message calls the world  to worship the Creator? 

Let's go to the third angel's message, which is the opposite.  It says in verse 9: “Then a third angel followed them,  saying with a loud voice, ‘If any man worships the beast and his  image, and receives his mark on his forehead, or on his hand, he himself shall also drink of the wine of the wrath of God’…”  Let me ask you, how many systems are there that will  demand worship at the end of time? Two:  the Creator, and the beast.  So let me ask you, in some sense, will the beast be a  counterfeit creator? 

Let me ask you, why do we worship God?  Because He's our Creator and we are what? creatures.
What sign has He given us that He is the Creator,  and we are creatures? the Sabbath. 

So when we worship on the Sabbath we're recognizing  and worshipping whom? the Creator.
Is it just possible that the beast claims  to have creative power?  And he also has a sign; a sign of his authority that when we keep his sign we are recognizing him,  and we are worshipping him. Don't you think that people are just going to kneel down  and start worshipping an individual? No!  Worship is a far deeper and greater issue.  It involves a Creator and a counterfeit creator.  It involves one sign versus another sign. 

So I trust that we'll continue coming, because we have great  things that we're going to study in this seminar.

Bonus Fakta kedua. Dan ini adalah FAKTA 12. Dengarkan ini: Isu inti yang akan memisahkan dunia ke dalam dua kubu adalah isu tentang penyembahan dan kepatuhan.

Kalian berkata, “Dari mana kita tahu?”

Perhatikan Wahyu 14:6-7 sekali lagi, sementara kita mengakhiri pelajaran ini.

“⁶ Dan aku melihat seorang malaikat lain terbang di tengah-tengah langit dan padanya ada Injil yang kekal untuk diberitakannya kepada mereka yang diam di atas bumi, kepada semua bangsa dan suku dan bahasa dan kaum, ⁷ dan ia berseru dengan suara nyaring: ‘Takutlah akan Allah dan muliakanlah Dia, karena telah tiba jam penghakiman-Nya, dan sembahlah Dia yang telah menjadikan langit dan bumi dan laut dan semua mata air.’”

Menurut kalian kira-kira mengapa pekabaran malaikat yang pertama ini mengajak dunia menyembah Sang Pencipta?

Marilah kita ke pekabaran malaikat ketiga, yang berlawanan. Dikatakan di ayat 9, “ ⁹ Dan seorang malaikat lain, malaikat ketiga, mengikuti mereka, dan berkata dengan suara nyaring:  ‘Jikalau seorang menyembah binatang dan patungnya itu, dan menerima tanda pada dahinya atau pada tangannya, ¹⁰ maka ia akan minum dari anggur murka Allah…”

Coba saya tanya ada berapa sistem yang akan menuntut supaya disembah pada akhir zaman? Dua: Sang Pencipta, dan si Binatang. Jadi saya kan bertanya, apakah si Binatang itu bisa dianggap sebagai pencipta yang palsu?

Coba saya tanya, mengapa kita menyembah Allah? Karena Dia-lah Pencipta kita dan kita adalah apa?  CiptaanNya.

Tanda apa yang telah diberikan Allah bahwa Dia-lah Sang Pencipta dan kita ini ciptaan? Sabat.

Maka, bila kita menyembah Allah pada hari Sabat kita mengakui dan menyembah siapa? Sang Pencipta.

Apakah mungkin, si Binatang ini mengklaim juga memiliki kuasa mencipta? Dan dia juga punya suatu tanda, tanda kekuasaannya, sehingga bila kita memelihara tandanya, berarti kita mengakuinya dan kita menyembahnya. Jangan menyangka orang-orang akan berlutut dan mulai menyembah seorang manusia.Tidak! Isu penyembahan adalah isu yang lebih dalam dan lebih besar, yang melibatkan Sang Pencipta dan pencipta yang palsu, melibatkan satu tanda versus tanda yang lain.

Jadi saya berharap kalian akan terus hadir karena ada hal-hal besar yang akan kita pelajari dalam seminar ini.
