Okay, what two points in common do the Sixth Trumpet and the Sixth Plague  have?

1.   First of all the river Euphrates and

2.   secondly the manifestation of spirits of devils, right?

Those are the two common denominators between the Sixth Trumpet and the Sixth Plague.

 

Oke, dua poin mana yang sama-sama ada  di Terompet Keenam dan Malapetaka Keenam?

1.   Pertama, sungai Efrat, dan

2.   Kedua, manifestasi roh-roh jahat, benar?

Itulah kedua denominator yang sama-sama ada di Terompet Keenam dan Malapetaka Keenam.

 

 

Now let's summarize what we looked at this morning. You have four bullet points here, where it says “In Summary”.

·       in Revelation 8:12 chapter 12:13-15 and chapter 13:1-9 the persecuting waters of the symbolic river Euphrates flowed against God's people for 1260 years. You remember that? The dragon spewed water out of his mouth to try and drown the woman. So that was the river Euphrates during the 1260 years, right? Right? Good, alright.

·       now what happened at the end of this period? Revelation 9:1-11 and that’s the Fifth Trumpet, by the way; Revelation 12:16 the Earth dries up the waters; and Revelation 13:3 and 10 the deadly wound of the papacy; what happened with the waters at the end of the Fourth Trumpet, at the end of this period?  The waters dried up. What is another way of explaining the waters dried up? What is another way of expressing it? The Beast received what? A deadly wound, right? So the drying up of the waters and the deadly wound are the same.

·       and then Revelation 9:13-21, 12:17, 16:13-15 which we're going to look at a little bit later, and 17:1-2 and 15 tell us that the persecuting waters are going to what? They are going to flow again, correct? Once again in Revelation 9:13-21 you have a mention of the Euphrates (we're going to study that), and you also have  mentioned of spirits of demons coming up to cause problems for God's people. So are the persecuting waters going to flow again? Yes! Because the harlot in Revelation 17 is seated where? On many waters. And what is her name? Babylon. What were the many waters of Babylon? The Euphrates. So are the water's going to flow again under the leadership of the harlot joined with the kings of the earth? Absolutely!

·       But then what's going to happen? According to Revelation 11:15-17, this is the Seventh Trumpet when Jesus takes over the kingdom. And Revelation 16:12 which describes the drying up of those waters. In Revelation 17:16 where it says that the kings will turn against the harlot, what's going to happen to the waters finally during the period of the Sixth Plague? The waters are going to what? They're going to dry up again. What does that mean? It means that the papacy will finally lose what? Its power when the civil powers, the kings, arise against the system. Is that what happened there at the end of the French Revolution? Absolutely! France rose against the papacy.

 

Nah, mari kita ringkas apa yang sudah kita pelajari tadi pagi. Di sini ada empat bulatan di mana tertulis “Ringkasan”.

·      Di Wahyu 8:12, pasal 12:13-15, dan pasal 13:1-9, air-air yang mempersekusi dari sungai Efrat yang simbolis mengalir deras menggulung umat Allah selama 1260 tahun. Kalian ingat itu? Naga itu menyemburkan air dari mulutnya berusaha menenggelamkan perempuan itu. Jadi itulah sungai Efrat selama ke1260 tahun, benar? Benar? Bagus, baiklah.

·       Nah, apa yang terjadi pada akhir periode itu? Wahyu 9:1-11 dan ini ialah Terompet Kelima. Wahyu 12:6-12 bumi mengeringkan air-air itu; dan Wahyu 13:3 dan 10, luka yang mematikan pada Kepausan; apa yang terjadi pada air-air itu pada akhir Terompet Keempat, pada akhir periode ini? Air-air mengering. Apa cara lain menyatakan airnya mengering? Apa cara lain untuk mengekspresikannya? Binatang itu menerima apa? Luka yang mematikan, benar? Jadi mengeringnya air-air itu dan luka yang mematikan adalah hal yang sama.

·       Kemudian Wahyu 9:13-21, 12:17, 16:13-15 yang akan kita pelajari nanti, dan 17:1-2 dan 15 mengatakan kepada kita bahwa air-air yang mempersekusi akan berbuat apa? Mereka akan mengalir deras lagi, benar? Sekali lagi di Wahyu 9:13-21 disinggung tentang sungai Efrat (kita akan mempelajari ini), dan juga disinggung tentang roh-roh kegelapan yang muncul untuk menimbulkan masalah bagi umat Allah. Jadi apakah air-air yang mempersekusi akan mengalir deras lagi? Ya! Karena perempuan pelacur Wahyu 17 duduk di mana? Duduk di atas banyak air. Dan siapa namanya? Babilon. Banyak airnya Babilon itu apa? Sungai Efrat. Jadi apakah air akan mengalir deras lagi di bawah kepemimpinan si perempuan pelacur yang bergabung dengan raja-raja bumi? Tepat sekali!

·       Tetapi kemudian apa yang akan terjadi? Menurut Wahyu 11:15-17, ini adalah Terompet Ketujuh ketika Yesus mengambil alih kerajaan. Dan Wahyu 16:12 yang menggambarkan mengeringnya air-air itu. Di Wahyu 17:16 di mana dikatakan bahwa raja-raja akan berbalik melawan perempuan pelacur itu, apa yang akhirnya akan terjadi pada air-air itu selama periode Malapetaka Keenam? Air-air itu akan apa? Air-air itu akan mengering lagi. Apa artinya itu? Artinya Kepausan akhirnya akan kehilangan apanya? Kekuasaannya ketika kekuatan sipil, raja-raja bangkit melawan sistem itu. Itukah yang sudah terjadi pada akhir Revolusi Perancis? Tepat sekali. Saat itu Perancis bangkit melawan Kepausan.

 

 

So let's go to our comments on Revelation 16:12. Let's read the verse first. “¹² Then the sixth angel poured out his bowl on…” what?  “…on the great river Euphrates…”  we're going to find this same river mentioned in the Sixth Trumpet when we study verse by verse a little bit later on.  So, “…the sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates and…” and what happened when he poured out his bowl? The water of the Euphrates,  “…its water was dried up, so that the way of the Kings from the East might be…” what?  “…might be prepared….”   So after the waters dry up, what is the next event? The next event is the coming of Christ.

 

Jadi marilah ke komentar kita tentang Wahyu 16:12. Mari kita  baca ayatnya dulu. “¹² Lalu malaikat yang keenam menumpahkan cawannya ke…” apa? “…ke atas sungai yang besar, sungai Efrat…”  kita akan bertemu sungai yang sama ini lagi disebut di Terompet Keenam saat kita mempelajarinya ayat demi ayat nanti. Jadi “…malaikat yang keenam menumpahkan cawannya ke atas sungai yang besar, sungai Efrat dan…”  dan apa yang terjadi ketika dia menumpahkan cawannya? Sungai Efrat,  “…airnya  dikeringkan, supaya jalan bagi Raja-raja yang datang dari sebelah Timur boleh…” apa? “…boleh disiapkan…” Jadi setelah airnya mengering, apa peristiwa berikutnya? Peristiwa berikutnya ialah kedatangan Kristus.

 

 

Who are the Kings from the East? The Kings from the East are Jesus and His angels, we already identified them in chapter 19, Jesus comes in a white horse, He's followed by white horses, and He's coming to trample on the winepress. So do you see the Seventh Trumpet there? The Sixth and Seventh Plagues are parallel to the Seventh Trumpet.

 

Siapakah Raja-raja dari Timur? Raja-raja dari Timur ialah Yesus dan malaikat-malaikatNya, kita sudah mengidentifikasi mereka di pasal 19,  Yesus datang dengan kuda putih, Dia diikuti oleh kuda-kuda putih, dan Dia datang untuk menginjak-injak tempat pemerasan anggur. Jadi apakah kalian melihat Terompet Ketujuh di sana? Malapetaka Keenam dan Ketujuh itu paralel dengan Terompet Ketujuh.

 

 

Now let's go to the next page, page 307. We know for certain that the drying up of the Euphrates at the time of the Sixth Plague, occurs after the close of probationary time, right? Does the Sixth Plague take place after the close of probation? Yes! Because the Plagues fall after the close of probation.

But when does the Sixth Trumpet take place? Does it take place after the close of probation? No!

·       The Sixth Trumpet takes place during what? During probationary time because it's the Sixth Trumpet.

·       Only when the Seventh Trumpet is about to sound, probation closes,

·       and then you have the Time of Trouble,

·       and ultimately the Seventh Trumpet blows and Jesus comes to take over the kingdom.

 

Sekarang mari kita ke halaman berikut, hal. 307. Kita tahu dengan pasti bahwa mengeringnya Efrat pada waktu Malapetaka Keenam terjadi setelah tutupnya pintu kasihan, benar? ·       kemudian ada Masa Kesukaran Besar,

·       dan akhirnya Terompet Ketujuh ditiup dan Yesus datang untuk mengambil kerajaan.

 

 

Now let's go to the next verse. Revelation 16:13, “…¹³ And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs coming out of the mouth of the dragon, out of the mouth of the Beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet…”

Does this describe demonic activity? Yes! Does the previous verse mention the river Euphrates? Yes! Are you following me or not?

 

Sekarang mari kita ke ayat berikut. Wahyu 16:13, “…¹³ Dan aku melihat tiga roh najis yang menyerupai katak keluar dari mulut naga, dan dari mulut Binatang, dan dari mulut nabi palsu…” 

Apakah ini menggambarkan aktivitas setaniah? Ya! Apakah ayat sebelumnya menyebut sungai Efrat? Ya! Apakah kalian mengikuti saya atau tidak?

 

 

So now notice, let's read the note. It is vitally important to underline that the events of verse 13-16 ~ very important ~ occur chronologically before those of verse 12. In other words, what we find in verses 13-16 actually occurs before what you find in verse 12, you're going to see why. In other words, verse 12 describes the Sixth Plague after the close of probationary time, while verse 13-16 describe the  events that led up to that climax during probationary time.  Are you with me? Yes? Good!

 

Jadi sekarang simak, mari kita baca catatannya. Sangatlah penting untuk menggarisbawahi bahwa peristiwa-peristiwa ayat 13-16 ~ sangat penting ini ~ secara kronologis terjadi sebelum peristiwa di ayat 12. Dengan kata lain, apa yang kita lihat di ayat 13-16 sesungguhnya terjadi sebelum apa yang kita lihat di ayat 12, kalian akan melihat mengapa demikian. Dengan kata lain, ayat 12 menggambarkan Malapetaka Keenam setelah tutupnya pintu kasihan, sementara ayat 13-16 menggambarkan peristiwa-peristiwa yang menggiring ke klimaks tersebut selama masih di masa kemurahan Allah. Apakah kalian mengikuti saya? Ya? Bagus!

 

 

Now the ancient Egyptians considered the frog the god of immortality. The three unclean spirits symbolize what? Three symbolic fallen angels. So does the Devil also have three angels? Yeah. God has three angels and Satan has three angels.

Now, let's continue here. The three unclean spirits come out of the what? Out of the mouth of the dragon, the Beast, and the false prophet. What comes out of your mouth? Words.  So what is coming out of the mouth of the dragon, the Beast, and the false prophet? False doctrines, false teachings, deceptions.

 

Nah, orang Mesir purba menganggap kodok sebagai dewa imortalitas (kebakaan). Ketiga roh najis melambangkan apa? Tiga malaikat simbolis yang jatuh dalam dosa. Jadi apakah Iblis juga memiliki tiga malaikat? Iya. Allah punya tiga malaikat, Setan juga punya tiga malaikat.

Sekarang, mari kita lanjut. Ketiga roh najis itu keluar dari mana? Dari mulut naga, Binatang, dan nabi palsu. Apa yang keluar dari mulut? Kata-kata. Jadi apa yang keluar dari mulut naga, Binatang, dan nabi palsu? Doktrin-doktrin sesat, ajaran-ajaran yang salah, penipuan-penipuan.

 

 

Now the next paragraph. It has been common among Adventists to interpret the dragon in this verse as spiritualism.  Have you ever heard that before? The Beast is the papacy, and the false prophet are the Protestant denominations, and the dragon is Satan or spiritualism. Now, that's partially true. But really the dragon represents Satan working through the civil powers of the world.

And you say how's that?

Who tried to slay Jesus when He was born? Was it the dragon who tried to slay Jesus? Yes! And who is the dragon that wanted to slay Jesus? Well, it was Satan working through whom? Through Herod.  in Ezekiel 29:3 Pharaoh is called the great dragon. Who wanted to see Moses, the deliverer, dead? Satan wanted to, but who did he use? He actually used Pharaoh. So:

·       the dragon represents the civil powers of the world,

·       the Beast represents the papacy,

·       and the false prophet represents apostate Protestantism.

 

Sekarang paragraf berikut. Adalah umum di antara orang Advent menafsirkan naga di ayat ini sebagai spiritualisme. Pernahkah kalian mendengar ini sebelumnya? Binatang itu Kepausan, dan nabi palsu itu denominasi-denominasi Protestan, dan naga ialah Setan atau spiritualisme.

Nah, ini benar sebagian. Tetapi sebenarnya, naga melambangkan Setan yang bekerja melalui kekuasaan sipil dunia.

Dan kalian berkata, kok bisa?

Siapa yang berusaha membunuh Yesus ketika Dia dilahirkan? Apakah itu si naga yang berusaha membunuh Yesus? Ya! Dan siapakah si naga yang mau membunuh Yesus? Nah, itu Setan yang bekerja melalui siapa? Melalui Herodes. Di Yehezkiel 29:3 Firaun disebut sebagai naga besar. Siapa yang mau melihat Musa sang penyelamat (bangsanya), mati? Setan yang mau, tetapi dia menggunakan siapa? Dia secara aktual menggunakan Firaun. Jadi:

·       naga itu melambangkan kekuasaan sipil dunia,

·       Binatang itu melambangkan Kepausan,

·       dan nabi palsu melambangkan Protestantisme murtad.

 

 

Now these three fallen angels, actually these three angels represent Satan's people who spread his lies. You know the three angels of Revelation 14 represent the people of God proclaiming the message. It's not that you're going to see three angels whizzing across heaven. It's the people that actually proclaim the messages. So we need to understand that these three fallen angels represent Satan's people who spread his lies. They will speak on behalf of what? These evil spirits will speak on behalf of whom? On behalf of the dragon, the Beast, and the false prophet. So what we have here is:

1.   that the dragon is a parody of whom? Of God the Father.

2.   The Beast is a parody of whom? Of Christ.

·       How many years did the Ministry of Christ last? Three and a half.

·       Did He perform miracles? Yes!

·       Did He receive a deadly wound at the end of His life?

·       Did He resurrect from the wound?

·       Did the world wonder after Him? Yes! just look at Pentecost, after that five thousand more.

3.   So what would the false prophet represent? What does the false prophet do? He makes fire come down from heaven in the sight of men. So he would be a counterfeit of what? Of the Holy Spirit.

So Satan has his counterfeit godhead and God has His true Godhead.  Are you with me or not?

 

Nah, ketiga malaikat berdosa ini, sesungguhnya ketiga malaikat ini melambangkan pengikut-pengikut Setan yang menyebarkan dusta-dustanya. Kalian tahu ketiga malaikat Wahyu 14 melambangkan umat Allah yang menyampaikan pekabaran itu, jadi bukan kita melihat tiga malaikat yang terbang melintasi langit, mereka adalah benar-benar manusia-manusia yang menyampaikan pekabaran. Jadi kita harus memahami ketiga malaikat yang berdosa ini melambangkan pengikut-pengikut Setan yang menyebarkan dusta-dustanya. Mereka akan bicara atas nama siapa? Roh-roh jahat ini akan bicara atas nama siapa? Atas nama si naga, Binatang, dan nabi palsu. Jadi yang ada di sini ialah:

1.   si naga adalah parodi (tiruan) siapa? Allah Bapa.

2.   Binatang itu parodi siapa? Kristus.

·       Berapa tahun pelayanan Kristus berlangsung? 3½ tahun.

·       Apakah Dia membuat mujizat? Ya!

·       Apakah Dia menerima luka yang mematikan pada akhir hidupNya?

·       Apakah Dia bangkit dari luka tersebut?

·       Apakah dunia kagum padaNya? Ya! Lihat saja apa yang terjadi saat Pentakosta, setelah itu masih ada 5000 lagi.

3.   Jadi nabi palsunya melambangkan siapa? Apa yang dilakukan si nabi palsu? Dia membuat api turun dari langit di depan mata manusia. Jadi dia adalah tiruan siapa? Roh Kudus.

Jadi Setan memiliki “keilahian”nya, dan Allah memiliki KeilahianNya yang sejati. Apakah kalian mengikuti saya atau tidak?

 

 

Now let's continue at the bottom of the page. Notice how Ellen White connects the false prophet of Revelation 13:13 with the message of Revelation 16:13-14, “John, upon the Isle of Patmos, saw the things which should come upon the earth in the last days…”   and then she quotes Revelation 13:13 and 16:14. Interesting! 13:13 is describing the Beast from the earth and 16:14 is quoting the verse that we’re taking a look at now. She continues quoting, “… ‘And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men’…”  and then she goes to this very next verse,  “… ‘For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to…”  do what?  “…to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.’…"

So what is verse 13 describing? Verse 13 is describing demonic activity by three fallen angels that are speaking out of their mouth doctrines of devils. They are deceiving spirits.

 

Marilah kita lanjut ke bagian bawah halaman. Simak bagaimana Ellen White mengaitkan nabi palsu Wahyu 13:13 dengan pesan yang ada di Wahyu 16:13-14,  “…Yohanes, di pulau Patmos, melihat hal-hal yang akan terjadi di dunia pada hari-hari akhir…”  lalu dia mengutip Wahyu 13:13 dan 16:14. Menarik! 13:13 menggambarkan Binatang yang keluar dari bumi dan 16:14 mengutip ayat yang sedang kita pelajari sekarang. Ellen White mengutip,  “…¹³ Dan ia mengadakan tanda-tanda yang dahsyat, bahkan ia menurunkan api dari langit ke bumi di depan mata semua orang.…”  kemudian dia pergi ke ayat berikutnya ini,  “…¹⁴ Karena mereka adalah roh-roh iblis yang mengadakan tanda-tanda ajaib, dan mereka pergi kepada raja-raja di bumi dan seluruh dunia untuk…”  bikin apa? “…untuk mengumpulkan mereka guna peperangan pada hari besar Allah Yang Mahakuasa.’…” (Con hal. 89)

Jadi ayat 13 menggambarkan apa? Ayat 13 menggambarkan kegiatan setaniah oleh tiga malaikat jahat yang dari mulut mereka mengeluarkan doktrin-doktrin iblis. Mereka adalah roh-roh penyesat.

 

 

So now let's go to the comments on Revelation 16:14. What are these spirits that are mentioned in Revelation 16:13, the unclean spirits? Well, we don't have to guess because it says, ¹⁴ For they are…” what? “…spirits of demons, performing…” what? “…signs, which go out to the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to…”  do what? “…to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.”

Let's read the note. The purpose of the message of these symbolic angels and the signs they perform is to gather what? To gather the kings of the earth and the whole world against God and His people. One cannot help but see that under the Sixth Trumpet the angels at the four corners are at the four corners at the river Euphrates, and they're released and here the text tells us that the spirits of demons go to the kings of the earth and of the whole world. Is there a parallel there? Absolutely, there's a parallel.

 

Jadi sekarang mari kita ke komentar Wahyu 16:14. Apakah roh-roh ini yang disebutkan di Wahyu 16:13, roh-roh najis ini? Nah, kita tidak perlu menebak karena dikatakan, “¹⁴ Karena mereka adalah…”  apa?   “…roh-roh setan yang mengadakan…”  apa?   “…tanda-tanda ajaib, dan mereka pergi kepada raja-raja di bumi dan seluruh dunia untuk…”  bikin apa?  “…untuk mengumpulkan mereka guna peperangan pada hari besar Allah Yang Mahakuasa.”

Mari kita baca catatannya. Tujuan pekabaran malaikat-malaikat simbolis ini dan tanda-tanda yang mereka lakukan  ialah untuk mengumpulkan apa? Untuk mengumpulkan raja-raja bumi dan seluruh dunia guna melawan Allah dan umatNya. Kita pasti bisa melihat bahwa di bawah Terompet Keenam malaikat-malaikat di keempat ujung ada di keempat ujung sungai Efrat, dan mereka dilepaskan, dan di sini ayat itu memberitahu kita bahwa roh-roh setan pergi kepada raja-raja bumi dan seluruh dunia. Apakah ada paralelnya di sini? Tentu saja, ada paralelnya.

 

 

Now let's notice Ellen White's comment in Revelation 16:13-14, when did this demonic activity start to manifest itself? Is it just at the very last remnant of time or did it start right around the 1840s? It started when the Three Angels’ Messages were proclaimed in the 1840s.

You remember the vision that Ellen White had of the train where she's talking about where did spiritualism originated, modern spiritualism? Have you heard of the Fox sisters 1848 in Rochester New York?

Ellen White describes this as a train. She says,  I saw a train and almost the whole world appeared to be on the train. And Ellen White saw the conductor, he looked like a very refined person, and she was confused. How God's prophet didn't know who he was. And so Ellen White asked her angel who is he, and the angel tells Ellen White he is Satan disguised as an angel of light, and is leading the world into deception, and ultimately unto destruction.

So does this scenario of Revelation 16 apply only to the very end of time? No! The Sixth Trumpet goes all the way back to when? It goes all the way back to 1798, after 1798 and the 1840s.

 

Nah, mari simak komentar Ellen White di Wahyu 16:13-14, kapan kegiatan setaniah ini mulai menyatakan dirinya? Apakah hanya pada bagian terakhir dari waktu atau apakah sudah dimulai sekitar 1840an? Sudah dimulai ketika Pekabaran Tiga Malaikat dikumandangkan di 1840an.

Kalian ingat penglihatan Ellen White tentang sebuah kereta api (EW hal. 88-89) di mana dia bicara tentang kapan spiritualisme berawal, spiritualisme modern? Pernahkah kalian dengar tentang Fox bersaudara (*) di 1848 di Rochester New York?

(*)Tiga bersaudara yang mempopulerkan komunikasi dengan roh-roh dengan tanda-tanda ketukan-ketukan, dan mereka mengaku sebagai dukun. Tahun 1888 salah seorang mengakui bahwa itu hoax dan dia menunjukkan bagaimana cara mereka melakukannya. Kurang dari 5 tahun setelah itu mereka semuanya mati. Tetapi gerakan spiritualisme terus berkembang.

Ellen White berkata, dia menggambarkan ini sebagai kereta api. Dia berkata, aku melihat sebuah kereta api dan nyaris seluruh dunia tampak ada di kereta itu. Dan Ellen White melihat si kondektur, penampilannya seperti orang yang sangat sopan santun, dan Ellen White bingung. Bahkan nabi Allah tidak tahu siapa dia. Maka Ellen White bertanya kepada malaikatnya, siapa dia, dan malaikat itu memberitahu Ellen White dia adalah Setan yang menyamar sebagai malaikat terang, dan sedang memimpin dunia kepada kesesatan, dan akhirnya ke kebinasaan.

Jadi apakah skenario Wahyu 16 berlaku hanya pada ujung akhir zaman? Tidak! Terompet Keenam sudah ada jauh sebelumnya, kapan? Jauh sejak 1798, setelah 1798 dan di tahun 1840an.

 

 

Now notice Ellen White, the tenses of the verbs that Ellen White uses when she quotes this verse, this is from Last Day’s Events page 249, “The Spirit of God  is…”  what? Is the Spirit of God withdrawn boom? No!  “…The Spirit of God is gradually withdrawing from the world…”  was It withdrawing in her day? Yes!  “…Satan  is…” when she writes  “…Satan is also mustering his forces of evil…” what is Satan doing? He's gathering his what? His armies. That's the Sixth Trumpet by the way.  “…Satan is also mustering his forces of evil…” and now she's going to quote Revelation 16:13-14  “…going forth…” to what?  “…’unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world’ to gather them under his banner, to be trained for ‘the battle of that great day of God Almighty.’ …” is she quoting Revelation 16?

Was the Devil already doing that back when she wrote? Yes! See, the Sixth Trumpet doesn't  leave a big gap between 1798 and then jump all the way to the end time. No! God started withdrawing His spirit there in 1798, and the Spirit has been withdrawn little by little since then.

 

Nah, simak Ellen White, keterangan waktu pada kata kerja yang dipakai Ellen White ketika dia mengutip ayat ini. Ini dari Last Day’s Events hal. 249,   “…Roh Allah sedang…”  apa? Apakah Roh Allah ditarik sekaligus boom? Tidak!   “…Roh Allah sedang ditarik secara bertahap dari dunia…”  apakah Roh Allah sedang ditarik di zaman Ellen White? Ya!   “…Setan juga sedang…”  pada saat Ellen White menulis ini  “…Setan juga sedang menggalang kekuatan jahatnya…”  apa yang dilakukan Setan? Dia sedang menggalang apanya? Tentaranya. Nah, itu Terompet Keenam. “…Setan juga sedang menggalang kekuatan jahatnya…”  dan sekarang Ellen White mengutip Wahyu 16:13-14,   “…keluar…” ke mana?   “…’pergi kepada raja-raja di bumi dan seluruh dunia’ untuk mengumpulkan mereka di bawah panji-panjinya, untuk dilatih ‘guna peperangan pada hari besar Allah Yang Mahakuasa…”  apakah Ellen White mengutip Wahyu 16?

Apakah Setan sudah melakukan itu di zaman ketika Ellen White menulis? Ya! Lihat, Terompet Keenam tidak meninggalkan jarak yang lebar antara 1798 kemudian dia melompat ke akhir zaman. Tidak! Allah sudah mulai menarik RohNya di 1798, dan Roh Allah sedang ditarik sedikit demi sedikit sejak waktu itu.  

 

 

Notice the next quotation Great Controversy 588 and 589, “The line of distinction between professed Christians and the ungodly is now hardly distinguishable. Church members love what the world loves and are ready to join with them…” and what does Satan want to do?  “…and Satan determines to  unite them in one body…” is that what God wants to do with His people? Yes!  “…and thus strengthen his cause by sweeping all into…” what?  “…into the ranks of spiritualism. Papists, who boast of miracles as a certain sign of the true church, will be readily deceived by this  wonder-working power; and Protestants, having cast away the shield of truth…” what is the shield of truth? The Bible,  “…will also be deluded. Papists, Protestants, and worldlings…” the word “worldlings” mean the secular  “…will alike accept the form of godliness without the power, and they will see in this union a grand movement for the conversion of the world and the ushering in of the long-expected millennium.”

So was that happening in the days of Ellen White? Yes!

Ya! “…dan dengan demikian memperkuat tujuannya, dengan menyeret semua ke…”  mana?   “…ke dalam barisan spiritualisme. Orang-orang Kepausan yang membanggakan mujizat-mujizat sebagai suatu tanda kepastian itu gereja yang benar, akan kena ditipu oleh kekuatan yang mengerjakan mujizat ini; dan orang-orang Protestan yang telah membuang perisai kebenaran…”  perisai kebenaran ini apa? Alkitab,   “…juga akan kena tipu. Orang-orang Kepausan, Protestan, dan orang-orang dunia…”  perkataan “orang-orang dunia” berarti golongan sekuler,   “…sama-sama akan menerima bentuk kesalehan ini tanpa kuasanya, dan mereka akan melihat dalam persatuan ini suatu gerakan akbar untuk menobatkan dunia, dan diantarkan masuknya millenium yang sudah lama dinantikan…”  

Jadi apakah itu sudah terjadi di zaman Ellen White? Ya!

So was the Prince of Darkness already at work back then? Oh, yes, he was.

Simak 19 Manuscript Releases hal. 376,   “…Marilah kita dengan bersungguh-sungguh bersiap bagi konflik yang ada di hadapan kita, karena tentara Setan…”  apa?   “…sedang digalang untuk pertempuran besar yang terakhir.”

 

 

Let's read the following quotation North Pacific Union Gleaner January 27, 1910, “In these perilous times, when the forces of evil…” what?  “… are marshalling their  hosts to thwart, if possible, the efforts of God's servants in the earth, it is vitally necessary for every laborer to walk humbly with God. Daily he is to maintain a close connection with heavenly agencies.”

So are all these spirit, these evil spirits are already being manifested in the times of Ellen White? Absolutely!

 

Mari kita  baca kutipan berikut, North Pacific Union Gleaner, 27 Januari 1910,   “…Di masa berbahaya ini, ketika kekuatan jahat…”  apa?   “…sedang menggalang tentaranya untuk menjatuhkan sekiranya mungkin, upaya-upaya hamba-hamba Allah di bumi, adalah sangat perlu bagi setiap pekerja untuk berjalan bersama Allah dengan rendah hati. Setiap hari dia harus mempertahankan suatu hubungan yang akrab dengan agen-agen ilahi.”

Jadi apakah semua roh jahat ini sudah sedang dimanifestasikan di zaman Ellen White? Betul sekali!.

 

 

Notice this quotation Review and Herald July 18, 1882,  “Satan is marshalling his forces for the last great struggle…” what is the last great struggle? It's ultimately culminates in what? In the Battle of Armageddon,  “…to make war with ‘the  remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.’…”  so is Revelation 12:17 related to the Sixth Trumpet as well? She's quoting Revelation 12:17. Do you notice that she quotes Revelation 12:17, she quotes Revelation chapter 13 about the false prophet, she also quotes what we find in Revelation chapter 16. So are all these passages describing events during the Sixth Trumpet? Absolutely! So now this is a very important statement. “…Satan is marshalling his forces for the last great struggle to make war with ‘the  remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.’ If we would be true to God, we cannot escape the conflict. But we are not left in doubt as to the issue…” now don't miss the next part of this quotation,  “…Beyond the  smoke and heat…” the Sixth Trumpet is going to mention fire and brimstone and heat, she's alluding to that,  “…Beyond the smoke and heat of the…” what?  “…of the battle, we behold them that had gotten the victory  standing on Mount Zion with the Lamb.”

 

Simak kutipan ini, Review and Herald 18 Juli 1882, “…Setan sedang menggalang kekuatannya untuk pertempuran terakhir yang akbar…”  apa pertempuran terakhir yang akbar? Itu akhirnya mengkulminasi dalam apa? Peperangan Harmagedon, “…untuk berperang dengan ‘yang tersisa dari benihnya, yang memelihara Perintah-perintah Allah, dan memiliki kesaksian Yesus Kristus.’…” Jadi apakah Wahyu 12:17 terkait kepada Terompet Keenam juga? Ellen White mengutip Wahyu 12:17. Apakah kalian melihat bahwa Ellen White mengutip Wahyu 12:17, dia mengutip Wahyu pasal 13 tentang nabi palsu, dia juga mengutip apa yang kita lihat di Wahyu pasal 16? Jadi apakah semua ayat ini menggambarkan peristiwa-peristiwa selama Terompet Keenam? Tepat sekali. Sion bersama Anak Domba.”

 

 

Notice the following quotation, “I was shown that a terrible condition of things  is seen to exist in our world…” did these things already exist in her time? Yes! What are they going to do in the course of time? Intensify, right? Get worse and worse. She continues,  “…The angel of mercy is folding her wings, ready to depart. Already the Lord's restraining power is being withdrawn…” was it happening in her day? Yes! So once again,  “…Already the Lord's restraining power is being withdrawn from the earth, and the power of Satan  is working in the world to  stir up the religious elements, under the training of the great deceiver, to work with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in the children of disobedience. Already the inhabitants of the earth are marshalling under the leadings of the prince of darkness, and this is only the…” what? Oh, this is  “…the beginning of the end…” this is only the first part of the what? Of the Sixth Trumpet.  She continues,  “…The law of God  is made void. We  see and hear of confusion, perplexities, want and famine, earthquakes and floods; terrible outrages will be committed by men; passion not reason bears sway. The wrath of God is upon the inhabitants of a world that is fast becoming as corrupt as were the inhabitants of Sodom and Gomorrah...”  what would she say today? “… Already fires and floods are destroying thousands of human beings and the property that has been selfishly boarded by the oppression of the poor.”

 

Simak kutipan berikut,  “…Kepada saya ditunjukkan suatu kondisi yang mengerikan yang tampak ada di dunia kita…”  apakah hal-hal ini sudah ada di zaman Ellen White? Ya! Apa yang akan mereka lakukan dalam perjalanan waktu? Menjadi semakin intensif, benar? Semakin lama menjadi semakin parah. Ellen White melanjutkan, “…Malaikat pengampun sedang melipat sayapnya, siap untuk pergi. Kuasa pengendalian Tuhan sudah sedang ditarik…”  apakah itu sudah terjadi di zaman Ellen White? Ya! Jadi sekali lagi,   “…Kuasa pengendalian Tuhan sudah sedang ditarik dari dunia, dan kekuatan Setan sedang bekerja di dunia untuk mengacau unsur-unsur relijius yang di bawah pelatihan si penipu ulung, mengerjakan segala penipuan ketidakbenaran pada anak-anak yang tidak patuh. Penghuni bumi sudah digalang di bawah pimpinan pangeran kegelapan, dan ini hanyalah…”  apa? Oh, ini adalah   “…bagian awal dari kesudahan…”  Ini hanyalah bagian pertama dari apa? Dari Terompet Keenam. Ellen White melanjutkan,   “…Hukum Allah dijadikan tidak berlaku. Kita melihat dan mendengar tentang kekacauan, kekhawatiran, kemiskinan dan kelaparan, gempabumi dan banjir, tindakan-tindakan yang sangat mengerikan akan dilakukan manusia, nafsu dan bukan akal yang akan memerintah. Murka Allah ada pada penghuni dunia yang segera akan menjadi sama rusaknya sebagaimana penduduk Sodom dan Gomora…”  apa yang akan dikatakan Ellen White hari ini?   “…Api dan banjir sudah menghancurkan ribuan manusia dan harta benda yang telah ditumpuk secara egois melalui penindasan orang-orang miskin.” (8T hal. 49)

 

 

So was Satan at this time already manifesting his power to marshal the forces of the earth to be on his side? Absolutely! And she describes it as “beyond the smoke and heat of the battle”. Why would she mention smoke and heat? Well, that's language that comes from the Sixth Trumpet we're going to notice.

 

Jadi apakah pada waktu itu Setan sudah memanifestasikan kekuasaannya untuk menggalang kekuatan dunia ke pihaknya? Tentu saja! Dan Ellen White menggambarkannya sebagai “di luar asap dan panas peperangan”. Mengapa Ellen White bicara tentang asap dan api? Nah, itu bahasa yang berasal dari Terompet Keenam, kita akan melihatnya.

 

 

Notice the next quotation. The demonic activity ~ you remember that in Revelation chapter 16, it speaks about the spirits that come out of the mouth of the dragon, the Beast, and the false prophet, as spirits of devils? Is that the language that is used: “spirits of devils”? Notice that Ellen White uses that time and again in her writings. Here we find in the Desire of Ages pg. 257, “So it will be in the great final conflict of the controversy between righteousness and sin. While new life and light and power are descending from on high upon the disciples of Christ, a new life is springing up…” where? We're going to see that the power in the Sixth Trumpet comes from where? It comes  “…from beneath…” from hell. So she's saying here,  “…a new life is springing up from beneath…” what is that new life that's springing up from beneath? God? No! Notice,  “…is springing up from beneath and energizing…” what?  “…the agencies of Satan. Intensity is taking possession of every earthly element. With a subtlety gained through centuries of conflict, the prince of evil works under a disguise…” and now notice she's going to refer directly to a Bible verse,  “…He appears clothed as an angel of light, and multitudes are ‘giving heed to seducing spirits, and…” what?  “… doctrines of devils.’ (1 Timothy 4:1.)”

 

Simak kutipan berikut. Kegiatan setaniah ~ kalian ingat di Wahyu 16 itu berbicara tentang roh-roh yang keluar dari mulut naga, Binatang, dan nabi palsu sebagai roh-roh iblis? Apakah itu bahasa yang dipakai “roh-roh iblis”?

Simak Ellen White memakai istilah itu berulang-ulang dalam tulisan-tulisannya. Di sini kita lihat di Desire of Ages hal. 257, “…Demikianlah di konflik akbar yang terakhir dalam pertentangan antara kebenaran dan dosa. Sementara kehidupan yang baru, dan terang, dan kekuatan turun dari atas kepada murid-murid Kristus, kehidupan yang baru juga muncul…”  di mana? Kita akan melihat bahwa kekuasaan di Terompet Keenam datang dari mana? Itu datang “…dari bawah…” dari tempat kematian. Maka Ellen White berkata di sini,   “…kehidupan yang baru juga muncul dari bawah…”  kehidupan yang  baru apa yang muncul dari bawah? Allah? Tidak! Simak,  “…muncul dari bawah dan memberi kekuatan…”  apa?   “…kepada agen-agen Setan. Intensitas menguasai setiap elemen duniawi. Dengan kepiawaian yang diperoleh dari konflik yang berabad-abad, pangeran kejahatan bekerja dalam penyamaran…”  sekarang simak Ellen White akan mengacu langsung kepada suatu ayat Alkitab, “…dia tampil seakan malaikat terang, dan banyak manusia sedang ‘mendengarkan roh-roh penyesat dan…”  apa?   “…ajaran-ajaran iblis.’ (1 Tim. 4:1),”

 

 

Now we're not going to read all of these quotations, there are many of them, but I want you to notice the highlighted portions that we have here. Does Revelation 16 use the expression “spirits of devils”? Yes! Notice how Ellen White repeatedly uses this. In Great Controversy page 560, this is the next-to-last quotation that we find on page 310, how does that quotation end?  “Many will be confronted by the  spirits of devils personating beloved relatives or friends and declaring the most dangerous heresies. These visitants will appeal to our tenderest sympathies and will work miracles to sustain their pretensions. We must be prepared to withstand them with the Bible truth that the dead know not anything and that they who thus appear are the spirits of devils.” 

It ends, “they who thus appear are the…” what?  “…the spirits of devils.” 

 

Sekarang kita tidak akan membaca semua kutipan ini, ada banyak, tetapi saya mau kalian menyimak bagian yang dihighlight di sini. Apakah Wahyu 16 menggunakan istilah “roh-roh iblis”? Ya! Simak bagaimana Ellen White berulang-ulang memakai istilah ini. Di Great Controversy hal. 560, ini adalah satu kutipan sebelum yang terakhir yang ada di hal. 310, bagaimana kutipan tersebut berakhir?  “…Banyak orang akan dikonfrontasi oleh roh-roh iblis yang tampil sebagai kerabat atau teman yang dikasihi, dan menyampaikan ajaran-ajaran sesat yang paling berbahaya. Penampakan-penampakan ini akan menyentuh simpati kita yang paling lembut dan akan mengerjakan mujizat-mujizat untuk menguatkan pemalsuan mereka. Kita harus siap menolak mereka dengan kebenaran Alkitab bahwa orang mati tidak tahu apa-apa, dan bahwa mereka yang muncul demikian itu adalah roh-roh iblis…”  

Kutipan ini berakhir dengan   “…mereka yang muncul demikian itu adalah…”  apa?   “…roh-roh iblis.”

 

 

The next quotation. Let's in fact read this quotation. “Satan has long been preparing for his final effort to deceive the world. The foundation of his work was laid by the assurance given to Eve in Eden: ‘Ye shall not surely die.’  ‘in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.’ (Genesis 3:4-5). Little by little…”  so does it happen overnight? No! “…Little by little he has prepared the way for his…” what?  “… masterpiece of deception in the development of spiritualism...” were spiritualism already raising its ugly head in the 1840s? Absolutely! She continues,  “…He has not yet reached the full accomplishment of his designs…” so can we see him working now? Are the spirits of devils working now? Yes! Are they going to work a lot harder later towards the end of the six Trumpet? Absolutely! So  “…Little by little he has prepared the way for his masterpiece of deception in the development of spiritualism. He has not yet reached the full accomplishment of his designs but it will be reached in the last remnant of time. Says the prophet,…” now what is she going to quote? She's going to quote Revelation 16,  “…Says the prophet, ‘I saw three unclean spirits like frogs…they are the  spirits of…” what?  “…devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.’ (Revelation 16:13-14). Except those who are kept by the power of God, through faith in His Word,  the whole world will be swept into the ranks of this delusion. The people are fast being lulled to a fatal security, to be awakened only by the outpouring of the wrath of God.”  .

 

Kutipan berikut. Mari kita baca kutipan ini. “…Sejak lama Setan sudah terus mempersiapkan upaya terakhirnya untuk menipu dunia. Dia telah meletakkan fondasi pekerjaannya melalui jaminan yang diberikannya kepada Hawa saat di Eden. ‘Sekali-kali kamu tidak akan mati.’ ‘pada hari kamu memakannya matamu akan terbuka, dan kamu akan menjadi seperti Allah, tahu tentang yang baik dan yang jahat.’ (Kej. 3:4-5). Sedikit demi sedikit…”  apakah itu terjadi dalam satu malam? Tidak!   “…Sedikit demi sedikit Setan telah menyiapkan jalan bagi…”  apa?   “…penipuannya yang terbesar dalam perkembangan spiritualisme…”  apakah spiritualisme sudah mengangkat kepalanya yang jelek di 1840an? Betul sekali! Ellen White melanjutkan, “…Dia belum mencapai puncak keberhasilan rencananya…” jadi bisakah kita melihatnya bekerja sekarang? Apakah roh-roh iblis bekerja sekarang? Ya! Apakah mereka akan bekerja semakin keras menjelang akhir Terompet Keenam? Tepat sekali. Maka,  “…Sedikit demi sedikit Setan telah menyiapkan jalan bagi penipuannya yang terbesar dalam perkembangan spiritualisme. Dia belum mencapai puncak keberhasilan rencananya tetapi itu akan dicapainya di waktu yang tersisa yang terakhir. Kata nabi itu (Yohnes)…”  sekarang apa yang akan dikutip Ellen White? Dia akan mengutip Wahyu 16. “…Kata nabi itu, ‘Dan aku melihat tiga roh najis yang menyerupai katak … Itulah roh-roh…”  apa?   “…setan yang mengadakan tanda-tanda ajaib, dan mereka pergi kepada raja-raja di bumi dan seluruh dunia untuk mengumpulkan mereka guna peperangan pada hari besar Allah Yang Mahakuasa.’(Wah.16:13-14). Selain mereka yang dipeliharakan oleh kuasa Allah melalui iman dalam FirmanNya, seluruh dunia akan disapu masuk ke kelompok yang tertipu ini. Manusia akan segera tertipu perasaan aman yang fatal, dan hanya akan terjaga oleh murka Allah yang dicurahkan.” (GC hal. 561-562)

 

 

Notice what Ellen White says about the state of the dead ~ by the way is the Christian world just very ripe for this? Why is the Christian world ripe for this? For the manifestation of the spirits of devils going to the kings of the earth and the whole world to gather them against God, why? Because practically all Christian churches with perhaps the exception of the Jehovah's Witnesses believe that when a person dies their soul goes to heaven or to hell. They believe in the immortality of the soul, which is the foundation of spiritualism, are you with me?

 

Simak apa kata Ellen White tentang status orang mati. Nah, apakah dunia Kristen sudah matang untuk ini? Mengapa dunia Kristen sudah matang untuk ini? Untuk manifestasi roh-roh iblis yang pergi ke raja-raja bumi dan seluruh dunia untuk mengumpulkan mereka melawan Allah, mengapa? Karena, nyaris semua gereja Kristen mungkin dengan perkecualian kelompok Saksi Yehova meyakini bahwa ketika manusia mati, rohnya pergi ke Surga atau ke neraka. Mereka yakin dalam kebakaan jiwa, yang adalah fondasi konsep spiritualisme. Apakah kaliah mengikuti saya?

 

 

So notice what Ellen White wrote, “I saw that the saints must get a thorough understanding of present truth, which they will be obliged to maintain from the Scriptures. They must understand…” what?  “… the state of the dead…” and now comes the expression  “…for the spirits of devils…” out of whose mouth do the spirits of devils come? The dragon, the Beast, and the false prophet. All three are controlled by spiritualism. The dragon alone is not spiritualism. The evil spirits come out of the mouths of all three, so they must understand the state of the dead.   “…for the spirits of devils will yet appear to them, professing to be beloved friends and relatives, who will declare to them that the Sabbath has been changed, also other unscriptural doctrines.’…”

Folks, if people believe their ministers that say, “Don't worry about those Adventist, Sunday's the day we’re supposed to keep” and people buy it, what's going to happen when Satan disguises himself as friends and relatives and says, “Sunday is the day of worship”? They will have no protection against this delusion. What is their only protection? “I see you, I hear you, but you are not my relative, because the Bible says ‘the living know that they will die, but the dead know nothing’ (Eccl. 9:5). So depart from me in the name of Jesus!”

Our only protection will be this book (the Bible), not our eyes, not our feelings, not our ears, not what people say. No! Simply what the Bible says.

 

Jadi simak apa tulisan Ellen White, “…Saya melihat bahwa orang-orang kudus harus memiliki pemahaman yang lengkap atas kebenaran masa kini, yang harus mereka pertahankan dari Kitab Suci. Mereka harus memahami…”  apa?   “…status orang mati…”  dan sekarang muncul istilah itu,  “…karena roh-roh iblis…”  yang keluar dari mulut siapa roh-roh iblis ini? Naga, Binatang, dan nabi palsu. Ketiganya semua dikendalikan oleh spiritualisme. Naga itu sendiri bukan spiritualisme. Roh-roh jahat itu keluar dari mulut ketiga-tiganya, maka mereka harus memahami status orang mati,  “…karena roh-roh iblis masih akan muncul kepada mereka, mengaku sebagai teman-teman dan kerabat yang mereka kasihi, yang akan menyampaikan kepada mereka bahwa Sabat sudah diubah, dan juga doktrin-doktrin lain yang tidak alkitabiah.’ (EW hal. 87). …”  

Saudara-saudara, jika manusia mempercayai pendeta-pendeta mereka  berkata, “Jangan bingung dengan orang-orang Advent itu. Hari Minggu adalah hari yang harus kita pelihara” dan mereka menelannya, apa yang akan terjadi ketika Setan menyamarkan dirinya menjadi teman-teman dan kerabat mereka dan berkata, “Hari Minggu adalah hari ibadah”? Mereka tidak akan punya perlindungan terhadap penipuan ini. Apa perlindungan mereka? “Aku melihatmu, aku mendengarmu, tetapi kamu bukan kerabatku, karena Alkitab berkata, ‘…orang-orang yang hidup tahu bahwa mereka akan mati, tetapi orang yang mati tak tahu apa-apa’ (Pengkhotbah 9:5). Jadi enyahlah dariku dalam nama Yesus!”

Perlindungan kita satu-satunya adalah buku ini (Alkitab), bukan mata kita, perasaan kita, telinga kita, bukan apa kata orang lain. Tidak! Semata-mata apa kata Alkitab.

 

 

In fact Ellen White goes on in this quotation on page 87 and 88, that's where she speaks about the train, and she says that demons disguising themselves as relatives and friends are going to appear before Adventists, not before non-Adventists although probably they will to them too, but they will appear to Adventists, to try to persuade Adventists. And when Adventists will say, “Well, there's something going on here, this is wrong.” They'll start wailing and say, “No, son, it's me, son.” Hooo! And Ellen white says that the falsification is perfect, the voice is precisely the voice that the relative had, the appearance is exactly the same. What will be our only protection? God said, that the dead don't know anything. So we can't go by our eyes, our ears, our emotions, our feelings,   miracles, what others say, only what the Word of God says.

 

Bahkan Ellen White melanjutkan kutipan ini di hal. 87 dan 88, di mana dia berbicara tentang kereta api itu, dan dia berkata bahwa setan-setan menyamar sebagai kerabat dan teman-teman akan muncul di hadapan orang-orang Advent, tidak dikatakan di hadapan orang-orang non-Advent, walaupun kemungkinan mereka juga akan muncul kepada mereka. Now here comes the description of the train.  “I saw the rapidity with which this delusion was spreading…” was it already spreading in Ellen White's day? Was the Sixth Trumpet already in play during the times of Ellen White? Absolutely!  “…A train of cars was shown me, going with the speed of lightning. The angel bade me look carefully. I fixed my eyes upon the train. It seemed that  the whole world was on board, that there could not be one left. Said the angel: ‘They are binding in bundles ready to…” what?  “…ready to burn.’ Then he showed me the conductor, who appeared like a stately, fair person, whom all the passengers looked up to and reverenced. I was perplexed…”  the prophet didn't even know who he was! “…I was perplexed and asked my attending angel who it was. He said, ‘It is Satan. He is the conductor in the form of an angel of light. He has taken the world captive. They are given over to  strong delusions, to believe a lie, that they may be damned. This agent, the next highest in order to him, is the engineer, and other of his agents are employed in different offices as he may need them, and they are all going with lightning speed to perdition."

What do you think? Amazing isn't it?

 

Nah, sekarang ini deskripsi tentang kereta api itu. “…Aku melihat betapa cepatnya penipuan ini menyebar…”  apakah ini sudah menyebar di zaman Ellen White? Apakah Terompet Keenam sudah ada di zaman Ellen White? Tentu saja!   “…Kepadaku ditunjukkan deretan gerbong-gerbong yang melaju dengan kecepatan kilat. Malaikat itu menyuruhku untuk melihat dengan seksama. Aku memandang lekat-lekat pada kereta itu. Sepertinya seluruh dunia naik di sana, seakan-akan tidak ada yang tertinggal. Kata malaikat itu, ‘Mereka sedang diikat dalam berkas-berkas siap untuk…”  apa?   “…siap untuk dibakar.’ Lalu dia menunjukkan kepadaku si kondektur, yang tampak seperti orang yang berwibawa, yang adil, yang dikagumi dan dihormati oleh semua penumpang kereta itu. Aku bingung…”  nabi ini bahkan tidak tahu siapa dia!   “…Aku bingung dan bertanya kepada malaikat pendampingku siapa itu. Dia berkata, ‘Itu Setan. Dia si kondektur dalam bentuk malaikat terang. Dunia telah menjadi tawanannya. Mereka dikuasai oleh konsep-konsep sesat yang kuat, untuk mempercayai kebohongan, supaya mereka boleh dihukum. Agen ini, yang dalam urutan kedua tertinggi setelah dia, ialah masinisnya. Dan agen-agennya yang lain dipekerjakan di jabatan-jabatan yang lain menurut kebutuhannya, dan mereka semuanya bergerak dengan kecepatan kilat menuju kebinasaan.” (EW hal. 88-89)

Bagaimana menurut kalian? Mengagumkan, bukan?  

 

 

So let me ask you, Revelation 16:13-14-15 do they apply during probationary time? Yes! Ellen White quotes them in probationary time. So must this be a parenthesis in the Sixth Plague? Absolutely!

 

Jadi coba saya tanya, Wahyu 16:13-14-15, apakah mereka diaplikasikan selama masa kemurahan Allah? Ya! Ellen White mengutip mereka di masa kemurahan Allah. Jadi apakah ini tentunya suatu sisipan di Malapetaka Keenam? Tepat sekali.

 

 

Now let's go to the bottom of the page. Ellen White then described another group that resisted and opposed this overwhelming delusion. Let's read, this is continuing here in Early Writings page 88, “I asked the angel if there were none left…”  because the  whole world is on the train “…I asked the angel if there were none left. He bade me look in an opposite direction, and I saw a little company…” how many are on the Devil’s side in the Sixth Trumpet? 200-million. How many are on the Lord's side in the Sixth Seal? A hundred and forty four thousand.  You see the contrast? So it says,  “…He bade me look in an opposite direction, and I saw a little company traveling a narrow pathway. All seemed to be firmly…” what?  “… united, bound together by…” emotions. My glasses must be failing me,  “…bound together by…” what? What needs to bind God's people together? Just feeling good about each other, getting together and singing Kumbaya? No!   “…All seemed to be firmly united, bound together by the truth, in bundles, or companies. Said the angel: ‘The Third Angel is binding, or sealing, them in bundles for the heavenly Gardener.’…” you remember the scene in Revelation 14, where He has the sickle in His hand and He is harvesting the harvest of the earth?  “…This little company looked careworn, as if they had passed through severe trials and conflicts. And it appeared as if the sun had just risen from behind a cloud and shone upon their countenances, causing them to look triumphant, as if their victories were nearly won.”

 

Sekarang mari kita ke bagian bawah halaman. Ellen White lalu menggambarkan suatu kelompok yang lain yang bertahan dan melawan penipuan yang menyesatkan yang menguasai semua ini. Berapa yang ada di pihak Tuhan di Terompet Keenam? 144ribu. Kalian lihat kontrasnya? Maka dikatakan,   “…Dia menyuruh aku melihat ke arah yang berlawanan, dan aku melihat satu kelompok kecil menempuh perjalanan di sebuah jalan yang sempit. Semuanya seakan ketat…” apa? “…bersatu, terikat satu sama lain oleh…”  emosi. Kacamata saya tentunya tidak benar,  “…terikat satu sama lain oleh…”  apa yang harus mengikat umat Allah menjadi satu? Hanya perasaan nyaman satu sama lain, berkumpul bersama dan menyanyi Kumbaya? Tidak!   “…Semuanya seakan ketat bersatu, terikat satu sama lain oleh kebenaran dalam kumpulan-kumpulan atau kelompok-kelompok. Kata malaikat itu, ‘Malaikat yang Ketiga sedang mengikat, atau memeteraikan mereka dalam kelompok-kelompok bagi Juru Taman Surgawi’…”  kalian ingat adegan di Wahyu 14 di mana Dia memegang sabit di tanganNya dan Dia sedang menuai tuaian bumi?   “…Kelompok kecil ini tampak lelah, seolah-olah mereka telah melewati kesukaran-kesukaran berat dan konflik-konflik. Dan tampaknya sepertinya matahari baru saja terbit dari balik awan dan menyinari wajah-wajah mereka, yang membuat mereka tampak sebagai pemenang, seolah-olah kemenangan mereka hampir dicapai.”

 

 

J.A. Seiss in his book The Exposition of the Book of Revelation makes the following incisive remark about the Sixth Plague, but he's commenting actually on the part that has to do with events that take place before the Sixth Plague.  He connected it with spiritualism. And this guy wasn't an Adventist.  Notice what he wrote,  “Modern spiritism, or so-called spiritualism, is only a revival of the same thing, a branch of the same iniquity. There doubtless is some reality in it; and it is confessedly a system of contact with the dead, whose spirits are invoked in various forms and methods, to teach wisdom; to dictate faith, religion, and life; to comfort and help in trouble and necessity; and to serve as saviors and as gods. It is demon-worship brought to life again. It claims to have vast multitudes of adherents, even among the…”  what? “…even among the baptized and nominally Christian. It is influencing whole communities of men and women, who are prepared to commit themselves body and soul, for time and eternity, into the care of these lying demon guides. It has made inroads upon people of all classes, and is received by many as a distinct and the only true religion. Its oracles are loud and hopeful in the prediction, that it will soon enlist to itself…”  what? “…the  governments and reigning classes of the whole world.”

He's commenting on Revelation 16:13-14.

 

J.A. Seiss dalam bukunya The Exposition of the Book of Revelation membuat komentar berikut yang tegas tentang Malapetaka Keenam, tetapi sesungguhnya dia mengomentari bagian yang berkaitan dengan peristiwa-peristwa yang terjadi sebelum Malapetaka Keenam. Dia mengaitkannya dengan spiritualisme. Dan orang ini bahkan bukan orang Advent. Mereka telah berhasil menembus segala golongan manusia, dan diterima oleh banyak orang sebagai satu-satunya agama yang benar dan khas. Ramalan-ramalannya nyaring dan mengandung harapan dalam prediksinya, bahwa mereka akan segera memasukkan ke dalam kelompoknya…” apa?  “…Pemerintah dan kelas-kelas masyarakat yang berkuasa di seluruh dunia.” (J. Dia mengomentari Wahyu 16:13-14.

 

 

So let me ask you this, is Revelation 16:13, is that describing something before probationary time ends or after? Before.

How about verse 14, going to all the kings of the earth in the world to gather them? Before.

Now how about verse 15? That’s the bottom of page 312,  let's notice,  Jesus says now, “…^{15 ‘}Behold, I am coming as a thief…”   do you know what the coming of the thief is? You know what moment that is: the coming of the thief? Not the Second Coming! See, the coming of the thief has two stages. What? And one isn't the rapture!

Let's  just use this analogy. You know, Fresno sometimes gets very cold, but let's use Canada as our example.  Saskatchewan, okay? I was there in January, wuuuh, talk about the cold and windy. But anyway, you live in Saskatchewan and it is the month of December. It is bitter cold, the wind is blowing, and it's snowing. You finish work and you get home, going to a nice warm living room, and then your wife brings you a bowl of soup and some bread. I know you're not hungry, so I can talk about this. And  so then afterwards you sit down to watch the news, and you kind of doze off. “You see, I'm going to go to bed.” So you go to bed, you get under the covers. Oh, it's so nice and warm under the covers. And you're there with your wife and suddenly you forget (should be remember) that you forgot to lock the door.  Hmmm, it's so nice and warm under these covers, this pillow feels so good, aahh, I've lived here for 20 years and the thief has never come. And so you stay under the covers. Lo and behold, that night the thief comes, enters the house and steals your valuables.

Do the people inside the house know that the thief has come? No! When do they find out? The next morning. But it's too late.

Probation will close before people realize it, because they'll be sleeping. They're not watching. When will they find out that Jesus has closed the door and that they're lost? When Jesus comes on the clouds of heaven in the morning. But then it will be too what? It will be too late.

Jadi coba saya tanya, apakah Wahyu 16:13 itu menggambarkan sesuatu sebelum tutupnya pintu kasihan atau setelahnya? Sebelumnya.

Bagaimana dengan ayat 14, pergi kepada semua raja-raja bumi di dunia untuk mengumpulkan mereka? Sebelum.

Nah, bagaimana dengan ayat 15? Itu di bagian bawah hal. 312, mari kita simak, Yesus berkata, “¹⁵   Lihatlah, Aku datang seperti pencuri…”  tahukah kalian datangnya si pencuri ini apa? Mari kita pakai analogi ini. Kalian tahu terkadang Fresno bisa sangat dingin, tetapi marilah kita pakai Canada sebagai contoh kita. Saskatchewan, oke? Saya di sana bulan Januari lalu, wuuuh, dinginnya, dan anginnya kencang. Tetapi baiklah, kita tinggal di Saskatchewan dan itu bulan Desember. Dinginnya luar biasa, angin bertiup, dan salju turun. Kita selesai kerja dan kita pulang, masuk ke ruangan yang nyaman dan hangat, lalu istri membawakan  semangkuk sop dan roti. Saya tahu kalian tidak sedang lapar, jadi saya bisa bicara tentang ini. Lalu kemudian kita duduk nonton berita dan mengantuk. “Aku  mau tidur,” Maka kita pergi tidur, masuk di bawah selimut. Oh, begitu nyaman dan hangat di bawah selimut, dan kita di sana bersama istri dan tiba-tiba kita ingat bahwa kita lupa mengunci pintu. Hmmm, betapa nyamannya dan hangatnya di bawah selimut, bantal ini begitu nikmat, aaahhh, saya sudah tinggal di sini 20 tahun dan tidak pernah ada pencuri datang. Maka kita tetap tinggal di bawah selimut. Lo ternyata malam itu pencuri datang, masuk ke dalam rumah, mencuri semua barang berharga. Apakah orang-orang di dalam rumah tahu pencuri sudah datang? Tidak! Kapan mereka tahu? Besok paginya. Tapi sudah terlambat.

Pintu kasihan akan tutup sebelum manusia menyadarinya, karena mereka sedang tertidur. Mereka tidak berjaga-jaga. Kapan mereka akan tahu bahwa Yesus telah menutup pintu dan mereka tidak punya harapan lagi? Ketika Yesus datang di awan-awan di pagi hari. Tetapi pada waktu itu sudah terlambat.

 

 

So when Jesus says here,  “…^{15 ‘}Behold, I am coming as a thief…” He's saying, “I'm going to close probation, so be ready!” “…Blessed is he who…” what?  “…watches,…” it's the opposite of sleeping  “…who watches and keeps his…” what?  “…garments, lest he walk…” what?  “…naked and they see his…” what?  “…shame.’…”

Would this warning make any sense after the close of probation? Of course not! Why not? Well, because probation is closed you can't watch anymore, you can't guard your garments anymore. Is this a warning during probationary time? Yes! Let's go to the next page.

 

Jadi ketika Yesus berkata di sini,  “…¹⁵ Lihatlah, Aku datang seperti pencuri…”  Yesus berkata, “Aku akan menutup pintu kasihan, bersiaplah!” “…Diberkatilah dia yang…”  apa?   “…berjaga-jaga…” kebalikan dari “tidur”, “…yang berjaga-jaga dan yang mempertahankan…”  apanya?   “…pakaiannya, kalau tidak, ia harus berjalan…”  apa?   “…dengan telanjang dan mereka melihat…”  apanya?   “…aibnya. …” 

Apakah peringatan ini masuk akal setelah tutupnya pintu kasihan? Tentu saja tidak! Mengapa tidak? Yah, karena pintu kasihan sudah tutup, orang tidak bisa berjaga-jaga lagi, tidak bisa menjaga pakaiannya lagi. Apakah ini peringatan untuk masa pintu kasihan masih terbuka? Ya! Mari kita ke halaman berikut.

 

 

And by the way, do you know some of those who will be naked and they will see their shame? People who belong to the Church of Laodicea. What church is that? Of course that's the Lutherans, right? And the Presbyterians, and the Methodists, and the Mormons, and the Jehovah’s Witnesses. No! What is Laodicea? The Seventh-Day Adventist Church!

Notice Revelation 3:18, this is a scary  part. Many of those who profess Jesus inside the remnant church are going to be found not watching and without the garment. Revelation 3:18 says, the Faithful Witness is speaking, “…¹⁸ I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and white garments, that you may be clothed, that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed…” is that a warning to Laodicea? Is it a warning during the period of the Sixth Trumpet? Absolutely!

 

Dan tahukah kalian ada beberapa dari mereka akan telanjang dan aib mereka akan terlihat? Mereka yang dari jemaat Laodekia. Gereja yang mana itu? Pasti itu golongan Lutheran, benar? Dan golongan Presbyterian, dan golongan Methodist, dan golongan Mormon, dan Saksi Yehova. Tidak! Siapa Laodekia ini? Gereja MAHK!

Simak Wahyu 3:18, ini adalah bagian yang mengerikan. Banyak dari mereka yang mengakui Yesus di gereja yang sisa akan didapati tidak siap dan tanpa pakaian. Wahyu 3:18 berkata, Saksi yang Setia sedang bicara, “¹⁸ maka Aku menasihatkan engkau, supaya engkau membeli dari Aku emas yang telah dimurnikan dalam api  agar engkau menjadi kaya; dan juga pakaian putih, supaya engkau berpakaian agar jangan kelihatan ketelanjanganmu yang memalukan…”  apakah ini suatu peringatan kepada Laodekia? Apakah ini peringatan selama periode Terompet Keenam? Tepat sekali!

 

 

Now let's notice the next paragraph. It bears noting that it would do no good to give this warning to God's people during the period of the Sixth Plague after probation has closed, because at that time probation will have closed and no one can change sides. In fact verse 15 contains God's warning to His people during probationary time to be faithful in resisting the spirits of devils by not gathering with the kings of the earth and the whole world.

So verses 13 to 15 they apply to probationary time, right?

 

Sekarang mari kita simak paragraf berikutnya. Perlu disimak bahwa tidak ada gunanya memberikan peringatan ini kepada umat Allah selama periode Malapetaka Keenam setelah pintu kasihan tutup, karena pada waktu itu masa kemurahan Allah sudah berakhir dan manusia tidak bisa pindah kubu. Bahkan ayat 15 berisikan peringatan Allah kepada umatNya selama masa kemurahan Allah agar setia menolak roh-roh iblis dengan tidak bergabung dengan raja-raja bumi dan seluruh dunia.

Jadi ayat 13 hingga 15 diaplikasikan di masa kemurahan Allah, benar?

 

 

When does the drying up of the  Euphrates in chapter 16:12 apply? That's during the period of the Sixth Plague.  But the gathering before that takes place during probationary time. Are you following me or not?

 

Kapan keringnya Efrat di Wahyu 16:12 terjadi? Itu selama periode Malapetaka Keenam. Tetapi pengumpulan sebelumnya terjadi selama masa kemurahan Allah. Apakah kalian mengikuti saya atau tidak?

 

 

Now  so that you have it absolutely clear, we're going to do a review now on page 313.  Here is the literary structure of Revelation 16:12-16. Once again we see how important it is to study the order of events, how the passage is organized, because everything is not in strict chronological order.

First, Revelation 16:12, this is the summary. Up to the moment of the Fifth Plague Babylon's waters are ever what? Increasing. With what intention? With the intention of drowning God's people at the time of the what? Of the Sixth Plague.  But what happens during the Sixth Plague?  The waters are about to drown God's people, what happens then? The waters are dried up.  So does verse 12 apply to post probationary time? Do the waters dry up at the 6th Plague? Absolutely!

Jadi apakah ayat 12 aplikasinya di masa setelah tutupnya pintu kasihan? Apakah air-air itu mengering saat Malapetaka Keenam? Tepat sekali!

 

 

Let's continue. The drying up of the waters then prepares the way for what? For the coming of the Kings of the East. Who are the Kings of the East? Jesus and His angels. Jesus comes from the East, He comes on a white horse, the armies of heaven come with Him, right? Which Trumpet is that? That's number 7.

 

Mari kita lanjut. Mengeringnya air-air kemudian mempersiapkan jalan bagi apa? Bagi datangnya Raja-raja dari Timur. Siapakah Raja-raja dari Timur? Yesus dan malaikat-malaikatNya. Yesus datang dari Timur, Dia mengendarai kuda putih, tentara surga datang bersamaNya, benar? Terompet yang mana itu? Itu Terompet Ketujuh.

 

 

Now notice the next two verses. Revelation 16:13-14, these verses take us back to probationary time when the wicked swirling waters are ever increasing and gathering against God's people. Does the gathering of the wicked take place after probation closes or before probation closes? Before. Three evil angels with a counterfeit message go to the kings of the earth and the whole world to gather them for what? For the final battle against God in the person of His people.

 

Sekarang simak dua ayat berikut. Wahyu 16:13-14, ayat-ayat ini membawa kita kembali ke masa kemurahan Allah ketika air-air jahat yang berpusar terus meningkat dan mengepung umat Allah. Apakah pengumpulan orang-orang jahat ini terjadi setelah pintu kasihan menutup atau sebelumnya? Sebelumnya. Tiga malaikat jahat dengan pekabaran palsu pergi ke raja-raja di bumi dan seluruh dunia dengan tujuan menggalang mereka untuk apa? Untuk peperangan terakhir melawan Allah dalam bentuk umatNya.

 

 

Then you have Revelation 16:15 in this parenthetical statement Jesus warns God's people to be on the right side when probation closes. When the gathering is over and probation closes there will only be two groups: those who walk naked and those who have the seal of God on their forehead. In other words the faithful and the unfaithful.

 

Lalu Wahyu 16:15, di pernyataan sisipan ini Yesus memperingatkan umat Allah agar berada di pihak yang benar ketika pintu kasihan ditutup. Ketika pengumpulan selesai dan kemurahan Allah berakhir, hanya akan ada dua kelompok: mereka yang berjalan telanjang dan mereka yang memiliki meterai Allah di dahi mereka. Dengan kata lain, yang setia dan tidak setia (kepada Allah).

 

 

And then Revelation 16:16 is a continuation of verses 13 and 14. So we skip 15 because 15 is a warning.

You say, “Now wait a minute.”

Well, let's read Revelation 16:13 through 16, but let's skip verse 15 and you tell me if it makes sense. “¹³ And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs coming out of the mouth of the dragon, out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet. ¹⁴ For they are spirits of demons, performing signs…” and wonders,   “…which go out to the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty…” now we skip verse 15  “…¹⁶ And they gathered them together to the place called in Hebrew, Armageddon…” is that a continuation of the thought? Absolutely! Because verse 15 is a parenthetical statement, it’s a warning, that when this moment comes make sure that you're clothed.

By the way when do you clothe yourself? After probation closes, right? No! We clothe ourselves before probation closes. So is this warning telling us, you need to be clothed before probation closes? Absolutely!

 

Kemudian Wahyu 16:16 adalah kelanjutan ayat 13 dan 14. Jadi ayat 15 kita lompati karena ayat 15 itu suatu peringatan.

Kalian berkata, “Tunggu sebentar.”

Nah, mari kita  baca Wahyu 16:13-16 tetapi ayat 15 dilompati, dan menurut kalian apakah itu masuk akal.“¹³ Dan aku melihat tiga roh najis yang menyerupai katak keluar dari mulut naga, dan dari mulut binatang, dan dari mulut nabi palsu. ¹⁴ Itulah roh-roh setan yang mengadakan tanda-tanda ajaib, dan mereka pergi kepada raja-raja di bumi dan seluruh dunia untuk mengumpulkan mereka guna peperangan pada hari besar Allah Yang Mahakuasa…”  sekarang ayat 15 kita lompati, “…¹⁶ Lalu mereka mengumpulkan mereka di tempat, yang dalam bahasa Ibrani disebut Harmagedon…” Apakah ini sambungan ayat 13-14? Tentu saja. Karena ayat 15 itu pernyataan sisipan, itu suatu peringatan jika saat tersebut tiba, pastikan kamu berpakaian.

Nah, kapan kita mengenakan pakaian sendiri? Setelah pintu kasihan ditutup, benar? Tidak! Kita mengenakan pakaian sendiri sebelum pintu kasihan ditutup. Jadi apakah peringatan ini memberitahu kita, kamu perlu berpakaian sebelum pintu kasihan ditutup? Tentu saja.

 

 

Now here's a question, where's Armageddon located? So where do the three evil spirits that come out of the mouth of the dragon, the Beast and the false prophet, where do they gather the whole world against God's people? They gather them at a place called what? In the Hebrew tongue Har-Megiddon.  Now the word Har-Megiddon comes from two Hebrew words: הַר[har] which means “mountain” and מוֹעֵד[mô‛êd] which means "congregation" it's the identical expression that is used in Isaiah 14 where Lucifer says that he will go to the mount of the congregation. The wicked are actually gathered at the mount of the congregation, which congregation? Whose congregation? God's, the church, God's people.

The consonants in Har-Megiddon are identical to the ones in מוֹעֵד הַר[har mô‛êd]  so in other words, Har-Megiddon, you know in Hebrew there were no vowels, right? Only consonants. So the consonants in Har-Megiddon are the same consonants that you have in מוֹעֵד הַר[har mô‛êd]  which is "mount of the congregation". But what about the ending Har-Megidd-on? What about that? Well, this is simply a way of Greekasizing (if I could invent that word)  a Hebrew word, the ending is a Greek ending adapted to a Hebrew word.

The same happens with the Hebrew word אֲבַדּ['ăbad]. What does אֲבַדּ['ăbad] mean? We already studied that. What is the name of the being that comes out of the abyss in the Fifth Trumpet? "Abadd-on" but where does the “on" come at the end? אֲבַדּ['ăbad] because the Hebrew word is אֲבַדּ['ăbad], so why do you have in Revelation "Abaddon" because the ending "on" is adding a Greek ending to a Hebrew word.

Let me give you an example, and I couldn't think of an English example so I'll give you a Spanish example. In English we have the word “park” as in “parking a car”, “park”, right? So when we use that, we sometimes use that word, Hispanics use that word they say, “parquere” have you ever heard that word?  Yeah. So does “ere” belong to the original word? No, it's added to make it Hispanic. Are you following me or not?

So   מוֹעֵד הַר[har mô‛êd]    is the word Armageddon, but the ending הַר מוֹעֵדוֹן [har mô‛êd'on]

the “on"  is a Greek ending to a Hebrew word. Are you understanding what I'm saying? So it means the "mount of the congregation”.

 

Nah, ada pertanyaan, di mana letak Harmagedon? Jadi di mana ketiga roh jahat yang keluar dari mulut naga, Binatang, dan nabi palsu, di mana mereka mengumpulkan seluruh dunia untuk melawan umat Allah? Mereka mengumpulkan di suatu tempat yang disebut apa? Dalam bahasa Ibrani Har-Megidon. Maka huruf-huruf mati di Har-Megidon adalah huruf-huruf mati yang sama yang ada di מוֹעֵד הַר[har mô‛êd] yaitu “gunung kongregasi”. Tetapi bagaimana dengan akhiran Har-Megid-on? Bagaimana dengan itu? Nah, itu semata-mata cara meng-Greeka-kan (andai saya boleh menciptakan kata itu) suatu kata Ibrani. Akhiran itu adalah akhiran Greeka yang diadaptasikan pada sebuah kata Ibrani.

Hal yang sama terjadi pada kata Ibrani אֲבַדּ['ăbad]. Apa artinya אֲבַדּ['ăbad]? Kita sudah mempelajari itu. Apa nama makhluk yang keluar dari abusos di Terompet Kelima? “Abad-on”, tetapi dari mana asalnya kata “on” yang ada di akhirnya?  אֲבַדּ['ăbad] karena kata Ibraninya ialah אֲבַדּ['ăbad], jadi mengapa di Wahyu yang ada itu “Abaddon”? Karena akhiran “on” itu menambahkan suatu akhiran Greeka kepada sebuah kata Ibrani.

Coba saya berikan suatu contoh dan saya tidak menemukan contoh kata Inggris, maka saya akan memberikan suatu contoh kata Spanyol. Di bahasa Inggris kita punya kata “park”(= parkir), seperti “parking a car” (memarkir mobi), “park”, benar? Maka bila orang-orang Hispanik (Spanyol) memakai kata itu mereka mengatakan “parquere”, pernahkah kalian mendengar kata itu? Ya. Jadi apakah “ere” bagian dari kata yang asli? Tidak, itu ditambahkan untuk menjadikannya bahasa Spanyol. Apakah kalian mengikuti saya atau tidak?

Jadi מוֹעֵד הַר[har mô‛êd] adalah kata Har-Magedon, tetapi akhirannya הַר מוֹעֵדוֹן [har mô‛êd'on]  bagian “on”nya adalah akhiran Greeka pada kata Ibrani. Apakah kalian paham apa yang saya katakan? Jadi itu artinya “gunung kongregasi”.

 

 

Now let's go to the last paragraph on page 314. In Daniel’s revelation God gathers His people to where? Mount Zion, where the spiritual temple on earth is. What is Zion, and what is the Sanctuary, and what is the City before the Second Coming of Jesus? It is the Christian Church, the Seventh-Day Adventist Church.

 

Sekarang mari kita ke paragraf terakhir hal. 314. Di penglihatan Daniel, Allah mengumpulkan umatNya ke mana? Gunung Sion di mana Bait Suci spiritual dunia berada. Sion itu apa, Bait Suci itu apa, dan Kota Suci itu apa sebelum Kedatangan Kedua Yesus? Itu adalah gereja Kristen, gereja MAHK.

 

 

In Revelation there is a two-fold gathering.

1.   God and His angels gather the remnant to symbolic Mount Zion;

2.   and Satan and his angels gather the wicked around it to attempt to destroy it. So they surround the mount of congregation.  

In the Old Testament the word מוֹעֵד[mô‛êd]  refers exclusively either to the congregation of the tabernacle, or the appointed times to celebrate their Hebrew feasts.  It is a sanctuary term that refers to the congregation that meets at the temple on Mount Zion to worship the Lord.

So who are the wicked going to surround? They're gathered there at  הַר מוֹעֵד [har mô‛êd] or הַר מוֹעֵדוֹן [har mô‛êd'on]. Where is it that they're gathering? Well, did they surround the Holy City according to Revelation 14:20?

What is outside the Holy City? The winepress.

What does the winepress represent? The wicked.

So why did the wicked gather around the City? Because they wanted to overcome the City.

By the way, are the wicked going to surround the City after the Millenium, but in this case it's the literal City.

Before the Second Coming it is what? It is the church, it's a spiritual City.

 

Di Wahyu ada dua macam pengumpulan.

1.  Allah dan malaikat-malaikatNya mengumpulkan umat yang sisa ke Gunung Sion yang simbolis;

2.   dan Setan dan malaikat-malaikatnya mengumpulkan orang-orang jahat mengeliling itu dalam usaha mereka untuk membinasakannya. Jadi mereka mengepung gunung kongregasi.

Di Perjanjian Lama kata מוֹעֵד[mô‛êd]  merujuk hanya kepada kongregasi Bait Suci atau waktu-waktu tertentu untuk merayakan hari-hari raya Ibrani mereka. Itu adalah istilah Bait Suci yang mengacu kepada kongregasi yang bertemu di Bait Suci di Gunung Sion untuk menyembah Tuhan.

Jadi siapakah orang-orang jahat ini yang akan mengepung? Mereka berkumpul di sana di מוֹעֵד הַר[har mô‛êd]  atau הַר מוֹעֵדוֹן [har mô‛êd'on]. Di mana mereka berkumpul? Nah, apakah mereka mengepung Kota Suci menurut Wahyu 14:20?

Apa yang ada di luar Kota Suci? Tempat pemerasan anggur.

Tempat pemerasan anggur melambangkan apa? Orang-orang jahat.

Jadi mengapa orang-orang jahat mengepung Kota Suci? Karena mereka mau mengalahkan Kota itu.

Nah, apakah orang-orang jahat akan mengepung Kota Suci setelah Millenium? Tetapi saat itu, itu adalah Kota yang literal.

Sebelum Kedatangan Kedua itu apa? Itu adalah gereja, Kota yang spiritual.

 

 

Now if you read these verses that are mentioned here, we don't have time to read all of them, but if you read Revelation 14:1 where are the 144,000 gathered? On Mt. Zion.

In Revelation 14:19-20, that should be, by the way, 19 and 20 rather than 19 and 10, you have God's people inside the City; and where the wicked gathered? In the winepress outside.

Is Jesus going to come to trample the winepress to save those who are inside? Absolutely!

The same if you go, by the way the background to that Beast text in Revelation 14:19-20 is found in Joel 2:32 and chapter 3:9-12,  that is the root prophecy of what we find in Revelation 14.

in Daniel 11:45 does the King of the North set up the tents of his tabernacles in a strategic place between the Seas and the Holy Mountain? Yes! To deliver a final death blow.

So what we have here is God's people are gathered in spiritual Zion, in spiritual Jerusalem, in the spiritual temple; and the wicked are gathered where? The wicked are gathered outside and their intention is to what? Their intention is to drown those who are inside. You remember the text that we read from the book of Isaiah 8:7-8 about the invasion of Sennacherib king of Assyria into the Holy Land? He  and his armies represent overflowing waters. Up to where did the waters reach? Up to the neck, which means that God's people were in severe danger. But what did God say?  It says that God will rebuke the waters, in other words He will dry the waters up.

 

Nah, jika kalian membaca ayat-ayat yang disebutkan di sini ~ kita tidak punya waktu untuk membaca semuanya ~ tetapi jika kalian membaca Wahyu 14:1 di manakah ke-144ribu dikumpulkan? Di Gunung Sion.

Di Wahyu 14:19-20 (dan di diktat itu seharusnya 19 dan 20 bukan 19 dan 10), umat Allah ada di dalam Kota, dan di mana orang-orang jahat berkumpul? Di tempat pemerasan anggur di luarnya.

Apakah Yesus akan datang untuk menginjak-injak perasan anggur guna menyelamatkan mereka yang ada di dalam? Tepat sekali!

Hal yang sama, latar belakang ayat Binatang di Wahyu 14:19-20 itu terdapat di Yoel 2:32 dan pasal 3:9-12, itulah akar nubuatan dari apa yang kita temukan di Wahyu 14.

Di Daniel 11:45 apakah Raja Negeri Utara mendirikan kemah kediamannya di tempat yang strategis antara Laut-laut (air-air) dan Gunung Kudus? Ya! Untuk melancarkan pukulan fatal yang terakhir.

Jadi apa yang ada di sini ialah umat Allah dikumpulkan di Sion spiritual, di Yerusalem spiritual, di Bait Suci spiritual; dan orang-orang jahat dikumpulkan di mana? Orang-orang jahat dikumpulkan di luar, dan tujuan mereka ialah untuk berbuat apa? Tujuan mereka ialah menenggelamkan orang-orang yang ada di dalam. Kalian ingat ayat yang kita baca dari kitab Yesaya 8:7-8 tentang invasi Sanherib raja Asyur ke Tanah Suci? Dia dan tentaranya melambangkan air-air yang membanjir. Sampai seberapa tinggi air-air itu? Sampai ke leher, yang berarti umat Allah dalam bahaya besar. Tetapi apa kata Allah? Dikatakan bahwa Allah akan menegur air-air itu, dengan kata lain Allah akan mengeringkan air-air itu.

 

 

So we read that very quickly, but let's review what we've studied.

·       At the end of time there's going to be how many gatherings? Two.

·       What will gather God's people?  The Three Angels’ Messages, right? The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

·       What will gather the wicked? Oh, three counterfeit powers that parody the Father, the Son, and Holy Spirit.  And three counterfeit angels, right? So three counterfeit angels.

·       So where will God's people be gathered? They will be gathered spiritually in spiritual Jerusalem, in the church.

·       Where will the wicked be gathered? They will be gathered outside in the what? In the winepress.

·       What does it appear like is going to happen? It appears like God's people are going to be killed and destroyed.

·       But then what happens? Jesus comes on a white horse, the armies of heaven come with Him on a white horse. 

·       And what does He come to do? He comes to trample the winepress. Why is He going to trample the winepress? Well, because their intention is to do what? Their intention is to destroy God's people who are inside. Are you understanding me?

·       So what is represented by Jesus coming on the horse, with the horses or the angels of heaven coming with Him? Which Trumpet is that? That's the Seventh Trumpet. It's the Second Coming of Jesus, when the kingdoms of the world are taken over by Jesus.

 

Jadi kita sudah membaca itu dengan cepat, tetapi marilah kita ulangi lagi apa yang telah kita pelajari.

·       Pada akhir masa akan ada berapa pengumpulan? Dua.

·       Apa yang akan mengumpulkan umat Allah? Pekabaran Tiga Malaikat, benar? Bapa, Anak, dan Roh Kudus.

·       Apa yang akan mengumpulkan orang-orang jahat? Oh, tiga kekuatan palsu yang meniru Bapa, Anak, dan Roh Kudus. Dan tiga malaikat palsu, benar? Jadi tiga malaikat palsu.

·       Lalu ke mana umat Allah akan dikumpulkan? Mereka akan dikumpulkan secara spiritual di Yerusalem spiritual, di gereja.

·       Ke mana orang-orang jahat akan dikumpulkan? Mereka akan dikumpulkan di luar, di mana? Di tempat pemerasan anggur.

·       Apa yang seolah-olah akan terjadi? Seolah-olah umat Allah akan dibunuh dan dibinasakan.

·       Tetapi kemudian apa yang terjadi? Yesus datang naik kuda putih, balatentara surga datang bersamaNya naik kuda-kuda putih.

·       Dan Yesus datang untuk apa? Dia datang untuk menginjak-injak pemerasan anggur. Mengapa Dia akan menginjak-injak tempat pemerasan anggur? Nah, karena niatan mereka ialah melakukan apa? Niatan mereka ialah membinasakan umat Allah yang ada di dalam. Apakah kalian memahami saya?

·       Jadi apa yang dilambangkan oleh kedatangan Yesus naik kuda, dengan kuda-kuda atau malaikat-malaikat surgawi yag datang bersamaNya? Terompet mana itu? Itu Terompet Ketujuh. Itu Kedatangan Kedua Yesus, ketika kerajaan-kerajaan dunia diambil alih oleh Yesus.

 

 

So let me ask you then, where would you expect the Sixth Trumpet to be? Well, the Sixth Trumpet would have to be before that. Would it have to be during probationary time? Yes! Because probation doesn't close until the Seventh Angel is about to sound His Trumpet.

 

Jadi mari saya tanya, kira-kira di mana kita boleh mengharapkan Terompet Keenam berada? Nah, Terompet Keenam haruslah sebelum itu. Apakah itu harus selama masa kemurahan Allah? Ya! Karena pintu kasihan tidak menutup hingga Malaikat Ketujuh akan meniup TerompetNya.

 

 

So let's review very quickly the Trumpets.

1.   What is the First Trumpet? The destruction of Jerusalem.

2.   What is the Second Trumpet? The fall of the Roman Empire.

3.   What is the third Trumpet?  it is apostasy begins to infiltrate the church in the days of Constantine.

4.   What is the Fourth Trumpet? The period of 1260 years of papal dominion.

5.   But then there's an opposite reaction in the Fifth Trumpet. What does that represent? It represents the French Revolution, when the papacy received a deadly wound. 

6.   And then after the Fifth Trumpet you have two gatherings: (1) the gathering of the righteous by the Three Angels’ Messages; (2) the gathering of the wicked by this false godhead and three counterfeit angels. In other words, the world is going to be divided into two groups.  So must probation still be open if the world is going to be divided into two groups? Yes! Is this going to intensify as we near the close of probation? Is it already at work? Yes! It already is at work. 

·       And so when probation closes, when the Seventh Trumpet is about to sound, after that what do you have?

·       The Time of Trouble such as never has been seen in the history of the world. Where are God's people gathered? In the church, in other words in spiritual Jerusalem. Where are the wicked gathered? They are gathered outside.

7.   and then what is going to blow? Trumpet number Seven, because Jesus is coming on a white horse and the armies of heaven are coming with Him to deliver His people from certain death.

 

Jadi mari kita ulangi Terompet-terompet dengan sangat cepat.

1.   Apa Terompet Pertama? Penghancuran Yerusalem.

2.   Apa Terompet Kedua? Jatuhnya kekaisaran Roma.

3.   Apa Terompet Ketiga? Kemurtadan yang mulai menyusup ke dalam gereja di zaman Constantine.

4.   Apa Terompet Keempat? Periode 1260 tahun kekuasaan Kepausan.

5.   Tetapi kemudian ada reaksi yang berlawanan di Terompet Kelima. Terompet Kelima melambangkan apa? Melambangkan Revolusi Perancis ketika Kepausan menerima luka yang mematikan.

6.   Lalu setelah Terompet Kelima ada dua pengumpulan: (1) pengumpulan orang-orang benar oleh Pekabaran Tiga Malaikat; (2) pengumpulan orang-orang jahat oleh keilahian palsu dan tiga malaikat palsu. Dengan kata lain dunia akan dibagi menjadi dua kelompok. Jadi apakah pintu kasihan masih terbuka jika dunia akan dibagi dalam dua kelompok? Ya! Apakah pengumpulan ini akan menjadi semakin intens dengan semakin dekatnya kita ke saat penutupan pintu kasihan? Ya! Sekarang dia sudah sedang bekerja.

·       Maka ketika pintu kasihan menutup, ketika Terompet Ketujuh akan ditiup, setelah itu ada apa?

·       Masa Kesukaran Besar seperti yang belum pernah terjadi dalam sejarah dunia. Di mana umat Allah dikumpulkan? Di gereja. Dengan kata lain di Yerusalem spiritual. Di mana orang-orang jahat dikumpulkan? Mereka dikumpulkan di luar.

7.   Kemudian apa yang akan ditiup? Terompet Ketujuh. Karena Yesus akan datang naik kuda putih dan tentara surgawi akan datang bersamaNya untuk menyelamatkan umatNya dari kematian yang pasti.
