Okay,  The Seven Headed Scarlet Dragon.

You know we've dedicated all the other time in the first two presentations on Revelation 17 to talk about the Harlot, but the Harlot is seated on a seven-headed scarlet Beast. So that's what we're going to take a look at primarily in this particular study. So let's go to the bottom of page 91.

 

Baiklah, Binatang Naga Merah yang Berkepala Tujuh.

John N. Andrews, John Nevins Andrews, perhaps the ablest scholar in the history of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church had this to say about the three seven-headed Beasts of Revelation 12, 13, and 17. You remember that we noticed that Revelation 12 and 13 are the foundation for chapter 17. Andrews recognized that. Notice what he wrote in his book The Three Messages of Revelation 14:6-12 pages 77 and 78,  “The seven heads are  seven forms of…” what?  “…of civil power which  successively bear rule….”  now let's stop there for a moment. “…The seven heads are  seven forms of…” what?  “…of civil power…” the Harlot is a Church, the heads are stages of civil power “…which  successively bear rule…” in other words, one right after the other.  He continues,  “…These seven heads belong alike to the  dragon of Revelation 12, the Beast of chapter 13, and  that of Revelation 17…” so in other words each of these three Beasts has seven heads.  And now he writes, “…This shows  conclusively that the dragon and these two Beasts are symbols of the same power under different heads; for there are not three sets of seven heads, but it is evident that the heads are successive forms of its power,  one of them bearing rule at a time, and then giving place to another. The proper period…”  now he is going to interpret what periods those are “…The proper period of each seems to be this: The dragon…”  of Revelation 12 with the seven heads. “…The dragon before the 1260 years, the Beast of chapter 13  during that period, and the Beast of chapter 17  since the deadly wound and captivity at the close of that period.”

Are you catching what he's saying? Three stages:

·       pagan Rome

·       papal Rome

·       and Rome restored to power when the deadly wound is healed.

So the heads are consecutive, they are successive.

John Nevins Andrews, mungkin pakar Alkitab yang paling mumpuni dalam sejarah Gereja MAHK, mengatakan ini mengenai ketiga Binatang yang berkepala tujuh dari Wahyu 12, 13, dan 17. Kalian ingat kita sudah menyimak bahwa Wahyu 12 dan 13 adalah fondasi untuk Wahyu 17. Andrews memahami itu. Dia melanjutkan, “…Ketujuh kepala ini semuanya sama-sama milik si naga dari Wahyu 12, Binatang Wahyu 13, dan Binatang Wahyu 17…”  jadi dengan kata lain, setiap Binatang ini memiliki tujuh kepala. Dan sekarang Andrews menulis, “…Ini membuktikan secara konklusif bahwa naga dan kedua Binatang itu adalah simbol-simbol dari kekuasaan yang sama di bawah kepala yang berbeda; karena bukannya ada tiga set tujuh kepala, melainkan jelas kepala-kepala itu adalah bentuk suksesif dari kekuasaannya, setiap kepala berkuasa selama waktu yang tertentu, lalu digantikan oleh yang lain (Wahyu 17:9-10). Periode masing-masing…” sekarang dia akan menafsirkan periode-periode apa saja itu. “…Periode masing-masing setiap Binatang sepertinya ini: Naga…”  Wahyu 12 dengan tujuh kepala,  “…Naga: sebelum ke-1260 tahun, Binatang pasal 13: selama periode tersebut, dan Binatang pasal  17: sejak luka yang mematikan dan penawanannya pada akhir periode tersebut. …” 

Apakah kalian paham apa yang dikatakannya? Tiga tahap:

·       Roma pagan

·       Roma Kepausan

·       Dan Roma yang dipulihkan kekuasaannya ketika luka yang mematikan itu sembuh.

Jadi kepala-kepala itu berurutan, mereka itu suksesif.

 

 

Now the seven heads of the dragon Beast are also described as seven mountains. In Bible prophecy ~ this is an important detail ~ mountains represent kingdoms not individual kings. Very important point, mountains represent kingdoms not individual kings. So if the heads are mountains, the heads must represent what? Kingdoms, not individual kings. It continues,  this means that the seven heads must represent seven kingdoms that have ruled upon the earth, and have been controlled by the Harlot or by apostate religion. Is that clear?

So, in other words,

·       the Harlot is not the same as the Beast or the heads.

·       The Harlot is the one who rides the Beast,

·       and controls the heads or the political powers, that rise one right after the other.

 

Nah, ketujuh kepala Binatang naga itu juga digambarkan sebagai tujuh gunung. Di nubuatan Alkitab ~ ini adalah detail yang penting ~ gunung melambangkan kerajaan, bukan raja individu. Poin yang sangat penting, gunung melambangkan kerajaan, bukan raja individu. Maka jika kepala adalah gunung, maka kepala-kepala itu tentunya mewakili apa? Kerajaan-kerajaan, bukan raja-raja individu. Lanjut, ini berarti ketujuh kepala haruslah mewakili tujuh kerajaan yang memerintah di dunia, dan yang dikendalikan oleh perempuan Pelacur itu atau oleh agama yang murtad. Apakah itu jelas?

Jadi dengan kata lain,

·       perempuan Pelacur itu tidak sama dengan Binatang atau kepala-kepala.

·       perempuan Pelacur adalah yang duduk di atas Binatang,

·       dan mengendalikan kepala-kepala atau kekuatan politik yang muncul satu setelah yang lain.

 

 

Now let's go to the section that is titled The River Dragon.

And for this  in your free time this evening ~ which we've given you a good amount of time to study the study notes ~ you'll find at the very end of the study notes an article that was written by the best  teacher that I ever had in college, and  you know he probably would be the best teacher I’ve ever had. His name is Douglas Waterhouse, now that might not ring a bell with you.  He presently lives in  the beautiful island, the paradise of Hawaii, and I’ve had the privilege of visiting with him,  when we took our van over there and we did a production  two or three years ago, and he's a tremendous Old Testament scholar, he's into archaeology, he's into ancient ways of thinking, and so on. And he wrote an article titled The River Dragon in Scripture, it's the last document in your study notes. You want to read that because what we're going to study now about this river dragon is based somewhat upon that particular article. Now let's go then to the middle of the page.

 

Nah, mari kita ke bagian yang berjudul Naga Sungai.

In order to comprehend the meaning of the seven-headed dragon upon which the Harlot sits, we must first understand how the ancients perceived river dragons. In the mythology of the ancients, mountains were considered to be the heads of a great cosmic river serpent dragon. So you can imagine the mountains are the  heads of a great cosmic river dragon. According to their pre-scientific view the mountains or heads would spew out waters, by the way that's why we call them “headwaters”, hello! So the heads or the mountains which are interchangeable would spew out waters which would flow down into the valley and form a riverbed in the valley. As the river twisted and turned tortuously  in the valley, it looked like the body of a great river serpent dragon. Are you catching the picture? This is vital. According to their pre-scientific view, when the river was at flood stage, it overflowed its banks, and sprouted wings, because when you look at it from above, the waters have flooded and looks  the dragon sprouted wings. And the Bible  picks up on this concept, for example in Isaiah chapter 8. 

 

Supaya bisa memahami arti dari naga berkepala tujuh ini yang diduduki oleh perempuan Pelacur itu, kita harus lebih dulu memahami bagaimana orang-orang kuno dulu memahami naga-naga air. Dalam mitologi kuno, gunung-gunung dianggap kepala-kepala dari ular naga sungai kosmik yang besar. Jadi kalian bisa membayangkan gunung-gunung adalah kepala-kepala seekor naga sungai kosmik. Menurut pendapat pra-sains mereka, gunung-gunung atau kepala-kepala itu akan menyemburkan air, itulah sebabnya mereka disebut “headwaters” (kepala air), halo! Jadi kepala-kepala atau gunung-gunung, kedua sebutan yang bisa ditukar-tukar, menyemburkan air yang akan mengalir turun ke lembah dan membentuk saluran sungai di lembah. Saat sungai itu meliuk dan berputar berliku-liku di lembah, tampaknya seperti tubuh seekor ular naga sungai yang besar. Apakah kalian menangkap gambarnya? Ini vital. Menurut pandangan pra-sains mereka, ketika sungai itu berada di tahap banjir, dia melimpah ke tepi-tepinya dan memunculkan sayap-sayap, karena jika kita melihatnya dari atas, air telah membanjiri dan tampak seperti seekor naga yang bersayap. Dan Alkitab memakai konsep ini, misalnya di Yesaya pasal 8.

 

 

Let's go there for a moment, Isaiah 8:7-8.

This is the invasion of Sennacherib into Jerusalem, and he actually does not enter the city of Jerusalem, he surrounds the city of Jerusalem. Of course 185 soldiers are killed in one night by the angel of the Lord, but in Isaiah 8:7-8 we have this concept of Sennacherib's army invading, and the flooding is the flooding of the Euphrates, and the river sprouts wings. Notice what it says in Isaiah 8:7-8. “⁷ Now therefore, behold, the Lord brings up over them the waters of the River…”  what river would that be? The river, the Euphrates, that's right, “…strong and mighty…” but what does the river represent?  “…The king of Assyria and all his glory; he will go up over all his channels…” this is a king that is coming with his armies, and he's like a flooding river, like the flooding river Euphrates,   “…he will go over all his banks. ⁸ He will pass through Judah, he will overflow and pass over, he will reach up to the neck; and the stretching out of his wings will fill the breadth of Your land, O Immanuel.”

So the Bible picks up on this concept.

 

Mari kita ke sana sejenak. Yesaya 8:7-8.

Ini adalah invasi Sanherib ke Yerusalem, dia sesungguhnya tidak memasuki kota Yerusalem, dia mengelilingi kota Yerusalem. Tentu saja 185 tentaranya terbunuh dalam satu malam itu oleh malaikat Tuhan, tetapi di Yesaya 8:7-8 kita mendapatkan konsep tentang pasukan Sanherib yang menginvasi, dan banjirnya adalah banjirnya Efrat, dan sungai itu menimbulkan sayap-sayap. Simak apa yang dikatakan Yesaya 8:7-8, “⁷ Oleh karena itu, lihatlah, Tuhan mendatangkan atas mereka air-air sungai itu…” sungai yang mana? Sungai itu, Sungai Efrat, betul sekali.  “…yang kuat dan besar…”  tetapi sungai itu mewakili siapa? “…raja Asyur dengan segala kemuliaannya, dia akan meluap melampaui segenap salurannya…”  Ini adalah seorang raja yang datang dengan seluruh pasukannya, dan dia seperti sungai yang membanjiri, seperti sungai Efrat yang membanjiri, “…dan akan mengalir melampaui segenap bantarannya, ⁸ ia akan melanda Yehuda, dia akan membanjiri dan melanda, ia akan mencapai sampai ke leher, dan sayap-sayapnya yang dikembangkan akan menutupi seantero negerimu, O, Imanuel!"

Jadi Alkitab memakai konsep ini.

 

 

Now let's go to page 93. It is of the utmost importance to keep in mind that Revelation 12:15-16, and Revelation 17:15, 9, are drawing on this ancient concept. However, in Revelation the river dragon takes on a symbolic meaning. The writer of the book of Revelation did not believe in this concept, that the mountains were heads of dragons and that the river was the body of the dragon. They didn't believe this, they simply used the way of thinking of that time symbolically, to teach a great truth concerning end time events.

 

Mari kita ke hal. 93. Sangatlah penting untuk selalu ingat bahwa Wahyu 12:15-16, dan Wahyu 17:15, 9, memakai konsep kuno ini. Namun, di Wahyu, naga sungai itu memiliki arti yang simbolis. ·       The mountains or heads

~ which are interchangeable according to what we notice ~ symbolize kingdoms.

·       and the waters ~  that is the body of the dragon,

that comes from the water that is spewed out from the heads or from the mountains ~ represent what? The multitudes, nations, tongues, and peoples, that actually take their signals from the leaders of those nations. Are you following me or not? It is important to understand that the nations, multitudes, tongues, and peoples, actually form the body of the dragon Beast.

 

·       gunung-gunung atau kepala-kepala ~

kedua kata ini bisa ditukar-tukar menurut apa yang sudah kita simak ~ melambangkan kerajaan-kerajaan.

·       dan air-air ~ yaitu  tubuh naga itu ~

yang berasal dari air yang disemburkan dari kepala-kepala atau dari gunung-gunung ~ melambangkan apa? Orang banyak, bangsa-bangsa, bahasa-bahasa, dan kaum-kaum, yang sesungguhnya menerima aba-aba dari para pemimpin bangsa-bangsa. Apakah kalian paham atau tidak? Sangat penting untuk memahami bahwa bangsa-bangsa, orang banyak, bahasa-bahasa, dan kaum-kaum benar-benar membentuk tubuh Binatang naga itu.

 

 

So you have three things:

You have the Harlot

·       who's seated on the river,

·       she's seated on the body of the scarlet Beast,

·       and she's seated on the mountains.

You say, well what does that mean?

·       Does she rule over the kings? Yes!

·       Does she rule over the people? Yes! The body of the river is the people.

·       And the heads represent the nations that rule over the people.

This is the picture that is being portrayed.

Now this is the reason why the Harlot is described as sitting on a scarlet Beast, as well as on the waters.  The scarlet Beast is the waters. In other words, the waters and the scarlet Beast are interchangeable. And the waters or the dragon are scarlet because they are filled with the blood of God's people according to Revelation 17:6. Are you catching the picture?

 

Jadi ada tiga hal:

Perempuan Pelacur itu

·       yang duduk di atas sungai,

·       dia duduk di tubuh Binatang yang berwarna merah,

·       dan dia duduk di atas gunung-gunung.

Kalian berkata, nah, apa artinya ini?

·       Apakah perempuan Pelacur itu berkuasa atas raja-raja? Ya!

·       Apakah perempuan Pelacur itu memerintah atas orang banyak? Ya! Tubuh sungai itu adalah orang banyak.

·       Dan kepala-kepala melambangkan bangsa-bangsa yang memerintah atas orang banyak.

Inilah gambaran yang disajikan.

Nah, inilah alasannya mengapa perempuan Pelacur itu digambarkan sebagai duduk di atas Binatang berwarna merah, dan juga duduk di atas banyak air. Binatang yang berwarna merah itulah air-airnya. Dengan kata lain, air-air dan Binatang berwarna merah itu dua hal yang sama. Dan air-air atau naga itu berwarna merah karena mereka penuh dengan darah umat Allah, menurut Wahyu 17:6. Apakah kalian menangkap gambarnya?

 

 

Now I intended to include in the study notes and somehow this escaped from doing it, but I have an illustration of this, and I’ll talk to  production and see if we can get a picture  so that you can see this more clearly in picture form. Now let's go to the middle of the page. The reliability of this ancient view as it applies to Revelation 17 is seen in the fact that the seven heads are identified also as what? So how can the mountains be heads? Well, let me ask you, in Revelation 12:17 where's the water coming from? From one of the heads, it's coming from one of the heads. And what does it form? The river. And the river is multitudes, nations, tongues, and peoples. So the reliability of this ancient view as it applies to Revelation 17 is seen in the fact that the seven heads are identified also as seven mountains. As we have already seen in antiquity the mountains were conceived as the heads of a dragon Beast. 

 

Nah, mari kita ke bagian tengah halaman. Ketepatan pandangan kuno ini seperti yang diaplikasikan pada Wahyu 17 tampak pada faktanya bahwa ketujuh kepala juga diidentifikasi sebagai apa? Jadi bagaimana gunung-gunung bisa menjadi kepala-kepala? Nah, saya beritahu,

It is crucially important to realize that while the heads or the mountains are spewing out waters ~ this is a critical point ~ while the heads are spewing out waters which are the multitudes, nations, tongues, and peoples, that they rule over ~ the dragon Beast is what? Alive.  So when the mountain is spewing waters out, the waters are persecuting, that means that the dragon Beast is what? It's alive.

When the heads or mountains, however, cease to spew out waters the dragon Beast is what? The dragon Beast is dead.

Thus the Beast is alive or dead, depending on whether the Harlot is able to use the head to persecute God's people. Are you following this? Yes? Okay, good!

That is to say when the Harlot commands the kings to order their multitudes to persecute God's people, the dragon Beast is alive. When the civil powers uphold democratic principles and keep aloof from the influence of the Church, the dragon Beast is what? The dragon Beast has a deadly wound, the dragon Beast is dead.

 

Sangatlah penting untuk menyadari bahwa sementara kepala-kepala atau gunung-gunung itu menyemburkan air-air ~ ini adalah poin yang sangat penting ~ sementara kepala-kepala sedang menyemburkan air-air yang adalah orang banyak, bangsa-bangsa, bahasa-bahasa, dan kaum-kaum yang dikuasai mereka; Binatang naga itu apa? Hidup. Jadi ketika gunung itu sedang menyemburkan air, air-air itu yang mempersekusi, artinya Binatang naga itu apa? Dia hidup.

Namun ketika kepala-kepala atau gunung-gunung itu berhenti menyemburkan air-air, Binatang naga itu apa? Binatang naga itu mati.

Dengan demikian, hidup-matinya Binatang itu bergantung pada apakah si perempuan Pelacur itu bisa menggunakan kepala naga itu untuk mempersekusi umat Allah. Apakah kalian paham ini? Ya? Oke, bagus!

Artinya ketika perempuan Pelacur itu memerintah raja-raja agar menyuruh rakyat mereka untuk mempersekusi umat Allah, Binatang naga itu hidup. Ketika kekuasaan sipil menegakkan prinsip-prinsip demokrasi dan menjauhkan diri dari pengaruh Gereja, Binatang naga itu apa? Binatang naga itu menderita luka yang mematikan, Binatang naga itu mati.

 

 

Now must we link Revelation 12 and 13 with Revelation 17? Remember that we studied this earlier in the day? There's a clear connection between Revelation 12, 13, and 17.  You cannot understand Revelation 17 without understanding Revelation chapter 12 and chapter 13 because that is the foundation of chapter 17.

And here on page 94 you have a chart showing the connections between Revelation 12 and 13 and Revelation 17.

There's just too many comparisons, too many words that appear in common between 12, and 13, and 17, to say that there is no connection between 12, and 13, and chapter 17.

Now you can take a look at this chart. You have all of these parallels between 12 and 13 and 17.

 

Nah, haruskah kita mengaitkan Wahyu 12 dan 13 dengan Wahyu 17? Ingat bahwa kita sudah mempelajari ini tadi pagi? Ada koneksi yang jelas antara Wahyu 12, 13, dan 17. Kita tidak bisa memahami Wahyu 17 tanpa mengerti Wahyu pasal 12 dan 13, itulah fondasi dari pasal 17.

So let's go to the bottom of the page and talk about the three seven headed Beasts.

The three seven headed Beasts originate in different places.

·       the first seven headed Beast is Revelation 12, right?

The dragon that has seven heads tries to slay the man-Child.

·       And then you have the Beast of Revelation 13,

that's the Beast that rises from the sea.

And then you have the Beast that rises from the earth (he doesn’t have 7 heads!)

·       And also from the abyss in Revelation chapter 17.

 

Jadi mari kita ke bagian bawah halaman dan bicara tentang ketiga Binatang berkepala tujuh.

Ketiga Binatang berkepala tujuh berasal dari tempat-tempat yang berbeda.

·       Binatang berkepala tujuh yang pertama ada di Wahyu 12, benar?

Naga yang berkepala tujuh yang berusaha membunuh Anak laki-laki.

·       Lalu ada Binatang Wahyu 13,

yaitu Binatang yang muncul dari laut.

·       Dan juga yang dari abusos  di Wahyu 17.

 

 

Now the three seven headed Beasts arise or originate in different places.

a)   When the seven-headed dragon attempted to slay the man-Child, a sign was seen where? And you can read the verse (Rev. 12:1 ), it's in parentheses,  a sign was seen in heaven. Why was it seen in Heaven? Because this was a battle between whom? Between Christ and Satan. It was a heavenly battle in a certain sense, because it involves Jesus who came from Heaven, and Satan the dragon.

b)   The seven headed Beast in Revelation 13 comes from where? From the sea. Why does it come up from the sea? Because it is a heavy populated area on earth. Did the papacy rise among the populated nations of the ancient world? Yes, it did.

c)    The seven-headed scarlet Beast of Revelation 17:8 rises from the abyss or from the underworld. Why would the Beast of Revelation 17 rise from the underworld? We know that the Beast from Revelation chapter 12 arises in Heaven, a sign is seen in Heaven, because this is a battle between Christ and Satan. We know that the Beast of Revelation 13 rises from the sea, because the sea represents a vastly populated area. But why would this Beast of Revelation chapter 17 rise from the abyss, from the ἄβυσσος [abussos]? There's a special reason.

 

Nah ketiga Binatang berkepala tujuh itu muncul atau berasal dari tempat-tempat berbeda.

a)   Ketika naga berkepala tujuh berusaha membunuh Anak laki-laki itu, suatu tanda tampak di mana? Dan kalian bisa membaca ayatnya (Wahyu 12:1), itu ada dalam kurung, suatu tanda tampak di langit. Mengapa tampak di langit? Karena ini adalah pertempuran antara siapa? Antara Kristus dengan Setan. Ini adalah pertempuran surgawi, dalam pengertian tertentu, karena melibatkan Yesus yang datang dari Surga dengan Setan si naga.

b)   Binatang berkepala tujuh di Wahyu 13 berasal dari mana? Dari laut. Mengapa dia muncul dari laut? Karena tempatnya itu adalah daerah yang padat penduduknya di bumi. Apakah Kepausan muncul dari antara bangsa-bangsa yang memadati dunia lama? Ya, benar.

c)    Binatang berwarna merah yang berkepala tujuh dari Wahyu 17:8 muncul dari abusos, atau dari tempat kematian. Mengapa Binatang Wahyu 17 muncul dari tempat kematian? Kita tahu bahwa Binatang Wahyu 12 muncul di Surga, suatu tanda tampak di langit, karena ini adalah pertempuran antara Kristus dengan Setan. Kita tahu Binatang Wahyu 13 bangkit dari laut, karena laut melambangkan daerah yang luas yang padat penduduknya. Tetapi mengapa Binatang Wahyu 17 ini muncul dari tempat kematian, dari ἄβυσσος [abussos]?  Ada alasan khusus.

 

 

Notice the next section. Romans 10:7 clearly shows that the abyss is the realm of the dead. Notice what it says in Romans 10:7, “⁷ or, ‘Who shall descend into the deep…” that is the identical word “abyss” where the Beast of Revelation 17 rises from. So “…‘Who shall descend into the deep (abyss)?’…” where is the deep? Here comes the explanation, from the deep,  “… that is, to bring up Christ again from…” where?  “…from the dead. (KJV).  Why would this Beast of Revelation chapter 17 be rising from the realm of the dead? Because this Beast received a what? A deadly wound. So Revelation 17 is describing the moment when the deadly wound of the papacy is healed, and it rises again to power. That's the reason why this Beast rises from the abyss, which is interpreted as the place where Jesus was brought forth, from where? From the dead. Are you following me or not?

 

Simak bagian berikut. Roma 10:7 jelas menunjukkan bahwa abusos adalah tempat orang mati. Simak apa yang dikatakan di Roma 10:7, “⁷ atau: ‘Siapakah yang akan turun ke tempat orang mati?’…”  itu adalah kata yang sama dengan “abusos” di mana Binatang Wahyu 17 itu muncul. Jadi  “…‘Siapakah yang akan turun ke tempat orang mati (abusos)?’…”  di manakah abusos? Inilah penjelasannya dari abusos, “…yaitu: untuk membawa Kristus naik lagi dari…”  mana?  “…antara orang mati?…”  Mengapa Binatang Wahyu 17 ini akan muncul dari tempat orang mati? Karena Binatang ini telah menerima suatu apa? Suatu luka yang mematikan. Jadi Wahyu 17 menggambarkan momen ketika luka yang mematikan pada Kepausan itu sembuh, dan dia bangkit lagi berkuasa. Itulah alasannya mengapa Binatang ini muncul dari abusos, yang diterjemahkan sebagai tempat dari mana Yesus dibawa keluar, dari mana? Dari kematian. Apakah kalian paham atau tidak?

 

 

Now Revelation 20:1 ~ we're at the middle page 95 ~ Revelation 20:1 tells us that Satan was cast into the abyss. It's the same word ἄβυσσος [abussos] by the way. Folks, when the devil is cast into the abyss, or it's called in Revelation in the King James “the bottomless pit” that's not a good translation. It's one Greek word,  it's the ἄβυσσος [abussos], in English that would be “the abyss” and as we've noticed in Romans 10, it's the realm of the dead.  It's resurrecting people from the realm of the dead.

So in Revelation 20:1 Satan is cast into the abyss with a deadly wound, when he cannot use the rulers, because they are dead. Satan comes up from the abyss, or we might say resurrects from the dead, when he is able once more to use the kings to accomplish his purposes, because they have resurrected from the dead. Are we doing well?

 

Sekarang, Wahyu 20:1 ~ kita di bagian tengah hal. 95 ~ Wahyu 20:1 mengatakan kepada kita bahwa Setan dilemparkan ke tempat orang mati. Itu adalah kata yang sama dengan ἄβυσσος [abussos].  Saudara-saudara, ketika iblis dibuang ke tempat orang mati, atau di KJV diterjemahkan “lubang yang tidak ada dasarnya” itu  bukan terjemahan yang tepat. Itu adalah satu kata Greeka, itu ἄβυσσος [abussos],  dalam bahasa Inggris itu adalah “abyss” dan seperti yang sudah kita simak di Roma 10 itu adalah tempat orang mati. Itu membangkitkan orang dari tempat orang mati.

Jadi di Wahyu 20:1 Setan dilemparkan ke tempat orang mati dengan luka yang mematikan, ketika dia tidak bisa menggunakan para pemimpin karena mereka semuanya mati. Setan muncul dari tempat orang mati, atau bisa kita katakan dia bangkit dari kematian ketika sekali lagi dia bisa menggunakan raja-raja untuk melakukan kemauannya, karena mereka sudah bangkit dari kematian. Semua oke?

 

 

Now let's talk about the seven heads.

Revelation 17:10 tells us that the seven heads represent seven kings. Let's read that verse. Revelation 17:10 it says that the seven heads represent seven kings. This is how it reads,, “ ¹⁰ There are also seven kings…”

So people say, “Well, see, the seven heads are not kingdoms, the seven heads are kings. It says so very clearly here in Revelation chapter 17.” But we need to understand that in prophecy, kings and kingdoms are interchangeable. You say how do we know that? Well, let's go to Daniel chapter 2. And I’m  sure that you know this because it's used very much in evangelism.

·       Daniel chapter 2 and let's read verse 37 and 38. Daniel 2:37-38.

Here Daniel is speaking to Nebuchadnezzar, and he says, “ ³⁷ You, O king, are a king of kings. For the God of heaven has given you a kingdom, power, strength, and glory; ³⁸ and wherever the children of men dwell, or the beasts of the field and the birds of the heaven, He has given them into your hand, and has made you ruler over them all—you are this head of gold.” So who was the head of gold? Nebuchadnezzar.

But wait a minute, Nebuchadnezzar ruled over what? A kingdom. Did Babylon have a succession of kings or was it only Nebuchadnezzar? It was a succession of kings. So the head of gold represents the succession of kings of the kingdom of Babylon. Are you with me or not?

·       Let's go to another text that shows this. Daniel chapter 7.

In Daniel chapter 7 you have four beasts, you have a lion, a bear, a leopard, and a dragon Beast. And what do these beasts represent? Well, let's notice first Daniel 7:17, “ ¹⁷ ‘Those great beasts, which are four, are four kings which arise out of the earth.” So you see, the beasts don't represent kingdoms, they represent kings, right? Yes and No.

·       Let's go to verse 23. What is this fourth Beast?

Is this fourth beast a king or is it a kingdom? It says in verse 23,  Daniel 7:23 the following, “²³ Thus he said: ‘The fourth beast shall be a fourth…” what?  “…a fourth kingdom on earth…”

So are these beasts kingdoms or are they kings? They are a succession of kings that rule over a specific kingdom. Are you with me?

So what do the heads represent? They represent kingdoms that have been ruled by a succession of kings. Very, very important point.

 

Sekarang mari kita  bicara tentang ketujuh kepala.

Wahyu 17:10 memberitahu kita bahwa ketujuh kepala melambangkan tujuh raja. Mari kita  baca ayat itu. Wahyu 17:10 mengatakan bahwa ketujuh kepala mewakili tujuh raja. Begini bunyinya, “ ¹⁰ Dan ada tujuh raja…”

Jadi orang berkata, “Nah, lihat, ketujuh kepala bukanlah kerajaan, ketujuh kepala adalah raja-raja. Jelas dikatakan di sini di Wahyu 17.” Tetapi kita perlu memahami bahwa di nubuatan, raja dan kerajaan itu bisa dipertukarkan. Kalian berkata, dari mana kita tahu itu? Nah, mari kita ke Daniel pasal 2. Dan saya yakin kalian sudah tahu ini karena ini sering dipakai dalam penginjilan.

·       Daniel pasal 2, mari kita  baca ayat 37-38. Daniel 2:37-38.

Di sini Daniel berbicara kepada Nebukadnezar, dan dia berkata, “³⁷ ‘Ya tuanku raja, raja segala raja, karena Allah semesta langit telah memberikan kepadamu suatu kerajaan, kekuasaan, kekuatan dan kemuliaan,  ³⁸ dan di mana pun anak-anak manusia berada, atau binatang-binatang di padang dan burung-burung di udara, Dia telah menyerahkan mereka ke dalam tanganmu, dan telah menjadikan engkau penguasa atas mereka semua. Tuankulah kepala yang dari emas itu.’…”  Jadi siapakah kepala dari emas itu? Nebukadnezar.

Tapi tunggu dulu, Nebukadnezar memerintah atas apa? Sebuah kerajaan. Apakah Babilon memiliki suksesi raja-raja atau hanya ada Nebukadnezar? Suksesi raja-raja. Maka kepala emas itu melambangkan suksesi raja-raja kerajaan Babilon. Kalian paham tidak?

·       Mari kita ke ayat lain yang membuktikan ini. Daniel pasal 7.

Di Daniel pasal 7 ada 4 binatang, ada singa, beruang, macan tutul, dan naga. Dan binatang-binatang ini melambangkan apa? Nah, mari kita simak Daniel 7:17 dulu, “¹⁷       ‘Binatang-binatang besar yang empat ekor itu, ialah empat raja yang akan muncul dari bumi.’…” Jadi kita lihat, binatang-binatang itu tidak melambangkan kerajaan, mereka melambangkan raja-raja, benar? Ya dan Tidak.

·       Mari kita ke ayat 23. Binatang keempat itu apa?

Apakah binatang keempat ini seorang raja atau sebuah kerajaan? Dikatakan di ayat 23, Daniel 7:23 sbb., “²³ Maka demikianlah katanya: ‘Binatang yang keempat itu ialah…”  apa?  “…kerajaan yang keempat yang akan ada di bumi…”

Jadi apakah binatang-binatang ini kerajaan-kerajaan ataukah mereka itu raja-raja? Mereka adalah suksesi raja-raja yang memerintah atas suatu kerajaan. Apakah kalian paham?

Maka kepala-kepala itu melambangkan apa? Mereka melambangkan kerajaan-kerajaan yang diperintah oleh suksesi raja-raja. Poin yang amat sangat penting.

 

 

Now, so Revelation 17:10 tells us that the seven heads represent seven kings or kingdoms. The seven heads are actually seven ~ listen carefully ~ seven successive civil kingdoms that have ruled the world since Nebuchadnezzar's Babylon.

·       So the heads represent the secular powers that have ruled.

·       The Harlot represents the religious powers that have tried to control the secular rulers of the nations.

 

Nah, jadi Wahyu 17:10 mengatakan kepada kita bahwa ketujuh kepala melambangkan tujuh raja atau kerajaan. Ketujuh kepala sesungguhnya adalah tujuh ~ dengarkan baik-baik ~ tujuh kerajaan sipil yang berturut-turut memerintah dunia sejak zaman Babilonnya Nebukadnezar.

·       Jadi kepala-kepala melambangkan kekuasaan-kekuasaan sekuler yang memerintah.

·       Perempuan Pelacur itu melambangkan kekuasaan-kekuasaan relijius yang berusaha mengendalikan pemimpin-pemimpin sekuler bangsa-bangsa.

 

 

Now, some have thought that Egypt and Assyria are the first two heads of this scarlet Beast. According to their view this would be the succession of powers:

1.   Egypt

2.   Assyria

3.   Babylon

4.   Medo Persia

5.   Greece

6.   The Roman Empire

7.   Papal Rome

8.   and number eight

which really there are no eight heads, folks. The seventh head counts as an eighth. There are no eight heads on this Beast, you can read through the whole chapter. Head number seven counts as an eight, it bears the number eight, and that's very important. So the idea would be that no. 8 is papal Rome healed from its deadly wound.

Now this interpretation has problems.

 

Nah, ada yang meyakini bahwa Mesir dan Asyur adalah dua kepala yang pertama pada Binatang merah ini. Menurut pandangan mereka demikianlah suksesi kekuasaan itu:

1.   Mesir

2.   Asyur

3.   Babilon

4.   Medo-Persia

5.   Greeka

6.   Kekaisaran Roma

7.   Kepausan Roma

8.   Dan nomor delapan.

Yang sesungguhnya tidak ada 8 kepala, Saudara-saudara. Kepala yang ke-7 dihitung sebagai yang ke-8. Binatang ini tidak punya 8 kepala, kalian bisa membaca seluruh pasalnya. Kepala nomor 7 dihitung sebagai yang ke-8, dia disebut nomor 8, dan ini sangat penting. Jadi konsepnya ialah no. 8 adalah Kepausan Roma yang sembuh dari lukanya yang mematikan.

Nah, interpretasi ini bermasalah.

 

 

The problem with this concept is that Egypt and Assyria are not found in any of the lines of prophecy in Daniel or Revelation.  Egypt does appear symbolically in Revelation 11 where France is called Sodom and Egypt, but there the Beast from the abyss doesn't persecute God's people, it persecutes the papacy. Are you understanding the point? See, the Beast is alive when it what? Persecutes God's people. The Beast is dead when you have democracy and God's people are not persecuted.  So even though Revelation 11 calls France:  Egypt, Revelation chapter 11 cannot be one of the heads, because it was not God's people who were persecuted in France. It was the government of France persecuting the apostate Church. Are you understanding that point?

 

Masalahnya dengan konsep itu ialah Mesir dan Asyur tidak ditemukan dalam semua garis nubuatan di Daniel maupun Wahyu. Mesir memang muncul secara simbolis di Wahyu 11 ketika Perancis disebut Sodom dan Mesir, tetapi di sana Binatang yang muncul dari abusos tidak mempersekusi umat Allah, dia justru mempersekusi Kepausan. Apakah kalian paham poinnya? Lihat, Binatang itu hidup bila apa? Bila dia mempersekusi umat Allah. Binatang itu mati saat demokrasi muncul dan umat Allah tidak dipersekusi. Jadi walaupun Wahyu 11 menyebut Perancis sebagai Mesir, namun Wahyu pasal 11 tidak bisa dianggap salah satu kepalanya karena pada waktu itu bukan umat Allah yang dipersekusi di Perancis, justru pemerintah Perancis yang mempersekusi Gereja yang murtad. Apakah kalian paham poin ini?

 

 

Now let's go to the next paragraph.

·       Daniel 2: the gold,

·       Daniel 7: the lion,

·       and Revelation 13 which mentions the lion.

All begin with what kingdom as the first kingdom? With Babylon as the first kingdom.

·       And Daniel 8 and 11 begin with the kingdom of Persia.

Nebuchadnezzar's Babylon is known as the Neo-Babylonian empire. It is called so because it's the continuation of the kingdom that originated at the tower of Babel. All false religions have their origin at the fountain head of the tower of Babel because from there humans spread out over all the earth. 

And it's no coincidence that for example in the Roman Catholic Church they use the rosary beads. I was amazed when I visited Syria in the year 2001, May of 2001 ~ I won't be able to visit after that because of what happened to the Trade Center, and to the, you know the Pentagon, it became impossible to travel over there ~ but I saw a religious leader of the Muslims and he was counting beads. And in India they count beads. Where does all of that idea of counting beads come from? It comes from an original source, it all comes from ancient Babylon.

All apostate religion comes from the Babylon of the builders of the tower of Babel. In fact Nebuchadnezzar bragged that he was actually renewing the Babylon that existed at the tower of Babel.

 

Sekarang mari ke paragraf berikutnya.

·       Daniel 2: kepala emasnya,

·       Daniel 7: singanya,

·       Dan Wahyu 13 yang menyebut singa.

Semua dimulai dengan kerajaan apa sebagai kerajaan yang pertama? Dengan Babilon sebagai kerajaan pertama.

·       Dan Daniel 8 dan 11, mulai dengan kerajaan Persia.

Babilonnya Nebukadnezar dikenal sebagai Kekaisaran Neo-Babilon. Disebut demikian karena itulah kelanjutan kerajaan yang asal mulanya dari menara Babel. Semua agama sesat memiliki asal mula dari sumber menara Babel karena dari sanalah manusia menyebar ke seluruh dunia.

Dan bukanlah semata-mata suatu kebetulan misalnya di Gereja Roma Katolik mereka memakai manik-manik rosario. Saya heran ketika saya mengunjungi Syria di tahun 2001, bulan Mei 2001  ~  saya tidak bisa ke sana lagi setelah itu karena apa yang terjadi pada WTC dan Pentagon (9/11) mustahil untuk mengunjungi sana lagi ~ tetapi saya melihat seorang pemimpin rohani Muslim dan dia berdoa dengan tasbih. Dan di India mereka juga memakai tasbih. Dari mana asalnya konsep berdoa dengan tasbih ini? Itu berasal dari sumbernya yang asli, dari Babilon kuno.

Semua agama sesat berasal dari Babilonnya pembangun menara Babel. Bahkan Nebukadnezar menyombong bahwa dia yang memperbarui Babilon yang ada di menara Babel.

 

 

Now let's go to the next section. In more recent times some have thought that the seven heads represent seven successive popes who have ruled since what they conceived to be the healing of the deadly wound in 1929. Have you ever heard the ide  that the deadly wound healed in 1929? Did the deadly wound heal in 1929? We could say that it started to heal maybe. Why is it not possible to say that the deadly wound was healed in 1929? Because prophecy tells us that the United States as we've studied, is going to heal the deadly wound, not Italy. That's one of the main reasons. Who signed the Concordant with the papacy in 1929? Italy, the Italian government. Does prophecy say that Italy is going to heal the deadly wound? No! Prophecy says that the United States  is going to give the civil power to the papacy to heal the deadly wound.

 

Sekarang mari kita ke bagian berikutnya. Tidak terlalu lama ini ada yang berpikir bahwa ketujuh kepala mewakili tujuh Paus yang memerintah secara suksesif sejak waktu yang mereka anggap sebagai sembuhnya luka yang mematikan di 1929. Pernahkah kalian mendengar konsep bahwa luka yang mematikan sudah sembuh sejak 1929? Apakah luka yang mematikan itu sembuh di 1929? Kita mungkin bisa mengatakan bahwa luka itu mulai membaik. Mengapa tidak bisa mengatakan bahwa luka yang mematikan itu sembuh di 1929? Karena nubuatan mengatakan bahwa Amerika Serikatlah seperti yang kita pelajari, yang akan menyembuhkan luka yang mematikan, bukan Italia. Itu salah satu alasan utamanya. Siapa yang menandatangani Concordant dengan Kepausan di 1929? Italia, Pemerintah Italia. Apakah nubuatan mengatakan bahwa Italia yang akan menyembuhkan luka yang mematikan? Tidak! Nubuatan mengatakan bahwa Amerika Serikat yang akan memberikan Kepausan kekuasaan sipil untuk menyembuhkan lukanya yang mematikan.

 

 

So what about this idea that the seven heads represent seven consecutive popes and perhaps even an eighth? Well, here's the way that it works out. In this scenario, as of 2005 taking that as the key date,  the five heads which had fallen since 1929 ~ this was the speculation at that time ~  were:

1.   Pious XI: 1922 to 1939

2.   Pious XII: 1939-1958

3.   John XXIII: 1958-1963

4.   Paul VI: 1963-1978, and

5.   John Paul I: who only lasted a little less than one month in the year 1978.

Now from the perspective of 2005 ~ this shows the dangers of speculation, folks, because this already is a false prophecy by those individuals who propose this idea ~  according to this scenario the head “who is” in 2005 would have been who?

6.   John Paul II: 1978-2005

7.   and the one “who is to come and would rule a short time” was Benedict XVI,

which would be the seventh head, who served as pope from 2005 to 2013.

However, Benedict resigned from the papal chair on February 28, 2013.

8.   So the present pope Francis I: would supposedly be number eight in the series of popes since 1929.

Are you understanding the scenario that was portrayed?

 

Jadi bagaimana dengan konsep bahwa ketujuh kepala melambangkan tujuh Paus konsekutif dan bahkan mungkin yang ke-8? Nah, beginilah perincian mereka. Dalam skenario ini yang memakai tahun 2005 sebagai tanggal kuncinya, lima kepala yang telah jatuh sejak 1929 ~ inilah spekulasinya pada waktu itu ~ ialah:

1.   Pius XI: 1922 - 1939

2.   Pius XII: 1939 -1958

3.   Yohanes XXIII: 1958 -1963

4.   Paulus VI: 1963 -1978

5.   Yohanes Paulus I:  yang hanya bertahan kurang dari satu bulan di tahun 1978.

Nah, dari perspektif 2005 ~ ini buktinya bahaya spekulasi, Saudara-saudara, karena ini sudah penafsiran nubuatan yang salah oleh mereka yang mengajukan konsep ini ~ menurut skenario ini, kepala yang “satu ada” di 2005 haruslah siapa?

6.   Yohanes Paulus II: 1978-2005

7.   Dan yang  “belum datang, dan jika ia datang, ia harus tinggal sebentar” adalah Benedict XVI, yang adalah kepala yang ke-7, yang menjadi Paus dari 2005 – 2013.

8.   Maka Paus yang sekarang, Francis I: harusnya nomor 8 dalam rangkaian paus-paus sejak 1929.

Apakah kalian paham skenario yang digambarkan?  

 

 

The problem is that this Beast does not have eight heads, it only has seven heads, and the seventh counts as an eighth, in other words, it bears the number eight with it, and we'll study the reason why a little bit later.  

So, as the speculation goes, Francis I will be the last pope. See, this is pretty close to setting dates, isn't it? Francis I would be the last pope because Revelation 17:11 refers to an eighth, and pope Francis I is the eighth pope since 1929. But this view can be discarded because pope Francis I is not one of the seven previous ones, because it says that the last one is one of the previous ones and we don't believe in reincarnation by the way.

 

Masalahnya ialah Binatang ini tidak punya 8 kepala, dia hanya punya 7 kepala dan yang ke-7 dihitung juga sebagai yang ke-8, dengan kata lain yang ketujuh juga mendapat nomor ke-8, dan kita akan mempelajari alasannya sebentar lagi.

Maka spekulasi yang ada ialah Francis I akan menjadi paus yang terakhir. Nah, ini sudah mendekati menentukan tanggal, bukan? Francis I akan menjadi paus yang terakhir karena Wahyu 17:11 merujuk ke yang ke-8, dan Paus Francis I adalah paus ke-8 sejak 1929. Tetapi pandangan ini bisa disingkirkan karena Paus Francis I bukanlah salah satu dari ke-7 paus sebelumnya, karena dikatakan (di ayat 11) bahwa yang terakhir itu berasal “dari yang tujuh”, dari salah satu yang sebelumnya, dan kita tidak mempercayai reinkarnasi.

 

 

Now, furthermore the heads represent what? Kingdoms not individual kings, not individual popes, but kingdoms.  

So in summary this is what the list of popes would look like in this scenario:

Pious XI  à  Pious XII à John XXIII à Paul VI à John Paul I à John Paul II à Benedict XVI à and Francis I.

So the idea is, that Francis will be the last pope. He's getting pretty old, so if this is the case, you know it’d better happen quickly. Now lots of things that are happening are remarkable with relationships to this pope, but it doesn't mean that we should say that this particular pope is a fulfillment of Revelation chapter 17.

 

Nah, apalagi kepala-kepala itu mewakili apa? Kerajaan-kerajaan, bukan raja-raja individu, bukan paus-paus individu, melainkan kerajaan-kerajaan.

Maka kalau disimpulkan, inilah daftar paus yang ada dalam skenario itu: Pius XI à Pius XII à Yohanes XXIII à Paulus VI à Yohanes Paulus I à Yohanes Paulus II à Benedict XVI à dan Francis I.

Jadi konsepnya ialah, Francis I akan menjadi paus terakhir. Dia sudah cukup tua juga, jadi jika memang  seperti ini kasusnya, itu harus cepat-cepat terjadi. Nah, banyak hal yang terjadi sehubungan dan paus ini memang mengagumkan, tapi tidak berarti kita harus berkata paus ini adalah penggenapan Wahyu pasal 17.

 

 

Now let's go to the next part here.

Before the election of Francis, evangelicals  ~  you might remember this, this  was actually not too long ago  ~  and even some Adventists had referred to a prophecy of St. Malachy, to the effect that the next pope would be the last, and that he would be the black pope.

By the way when people speak of “the black pope” it has nothing to do with skin color. The pope is garbed in white, he is the white pope because of the garments that he wears, which are always white. Have you noticed Francis I wears white? The black pope is always garbed in black, he is the leader of the Jesuit order. Do you know who is the leader of the Jesuit order now? It is a cardinal from Venezuela, his name is Arturo Sosa Abascal,  he was elected by Francis. Why would Francis elect a Jesuit, who has not been critical at all about the abuses taking place in Venezuela? Because as you read in my latest newsletter, the pope is a Socialist, he actually agrees with what is happening in Venezuela, and the looting and the riots that are taking place in different countries. He sees this as the revolution of the proletariat, just like Marxism believes.

Sebelum terpilihnya Francis, orang-orang evangelical (Protestan) ~ mungkin kalian ingat ini, ini tidak terlalu lama ~ dan bahkan beberapa orang Advent, merujuk ke suatu ramalan St. Malachy bahwa paus berikutnya adalah paus yang terakhir, dan bahwa dia adalah seorang paus hitam.

Nah, bila orang bicara tentang “paus hitam” itu tidak ada kaitannya dengan warna kulitnya. Pakaian seorang paus itu putih, dia disebut paus putih karena pakaian yang dikenakannya, yang selalu putih. Apakah kalian melihat bahwa Francis I mengenakan pakaian putih? Paus hitam selalu memakai pakaian hitam, dia adalah kepala ordo Yesuit. Tahukah kalian siapa kepala ordo Yesuit sekarang? Seorang kardinal dari Venezuela, namanya Arturo Sosa Abascal, dia dipilih oleh Francis. Mengapa Francis memilih seorang Yesuit yang tidak peka mengenai penindasan-penindasan yang terjadi di Venezuela? Jika kalian membaca bulletin saya yang terbaru, dia adalah seorang Sosialis, dia malah setuju dengan apa yang terjadi di Venezuela, dan penjarahan dan kerusuhan yang terjadi di pelbagai negara lain. Dia melihat ini sebagai revolusi proletariat, sama seperti yang diyakini golongan Marxisme.

 

 

The fact is, that this prophecy has nothing to do with individual popes. The seven heads are not seven individuals, but rather seven what? Seven kingdoms. 

All this speculation about seven heads should be discarded for the following reasons which there are four:

1.   it comes pretty close to setting specific dates for the final prophetic movements.

In this scenario the successor of pope Benedict XVI would be the last pope. Is this not setting a definite time frame for end time events? I think so.

2.   these speculative views ~ and this is an important point ~ sever or separate Revelation 17 from the previous prophetic lines of Daniel 7, and Revelation 12, and 13. In other words, the interpretation that they are seven or eight popes totally ignores Revelation 12 and 13 which we already studied. As we have seen above, Revelation 12, 13, and 17 are indissolubly linked.

Ellen White understood the common thread between Revelation 12, 13, and 17, when she wrote, “God has warned His people of the perils before them…” in other words what's going to take place  “…John beholds the things which will be…” when?  “…in the last days and he sees a people working counter to God….” and then what does she quote? She said, “…Read Revelation 12:17; Revelation 14:10-13, and chapters 17 and 13.” Did Ellen White  believe that there was a connection between Revelation 12, Revelation 13, and Revelation 17, as regards the last days? Absolutely! And so we can't just sever Revelation 17 and say suddenly, you know, these are seven popes or perhaps eight popes. What does that have to do with Revelation 12, and 13? It has nothing to do with Revelation chapter 12, and chapter 13.

3.   Although the seven heads or mountains of this dragon Beast are said to be seven kings, the words “kings” and “kingdoms” are used interchangeably.

We covered this point in prophecy. In prophecy mountains represent kingdoms not individual rulers. The popes on the list above are actually not rulers of seven distinct kingdoms, but they are rather leaders of what? Of the same kingdom. I mean all these things should be absolutely obvious, folks. As long as we just think a little bit, instead of just saying, you know, getting excited you know, people even Adventists, they love to get excited about “new light” and new things, you know. They say, “Wow!” And we go by what the internet says. Be very careful about what you read on the internet and sending it on to others.

You know, a few years ago it came out that the pope had a brother who was an Adventist, and there was one particular speaker that  went out with this. He said the pope has a brother and his brother said, that the pope is going to persecute Seventh-Day Adventists because they keep the Sabbath. Well, with the little research that was discovered, that the pope has no such thing as a brother who's an Adventist. And it was quite embarrassing for the pastor, very prominent pastor, he actually had to come out and apologize for what he said. So don't get your information about prophecy from the internet. Go and study the Bible, study the Spirit of Prophecy, there you have the sure word. When we study the Bible and the Spirit of Prophecy we simply cannot go wrong.

4.   Now finally ~ we're still on page 98 ~ finally there is little evidence that 1929 should be chosen as the beginning date for the sequence of the seven heads.

Where do you find the idea that the seven heads begin in 1929? It's nowhere. As I have clearly shown in another place, the deadly wound was not healed in 1929 because Revelation 13:11-18 tell us that the United States  will be instrumental in the healing of the deadly wound, not Italy. Where is Italy in Bible prophecy? I’m  sure the Italians ~ if there are any listening ~ they're saying, “Praise the Lord that we're not in prophecy!” [Laughter] There's no Beast in the Bible that points to Italy playing an important role in end time events. Yes, the papacy, that is in Italy, in Rome, yes, but not the country of Italy. There's no evidence of this.

 

Faktanya ialah, nubuatan ini tidak ada kaitannya dengan paus-paus individu. Ketujuh kepala bukanlah tujuh individu, melainkan tujuh apa? Tujuh kerajaan.

Semua spekulasi ini tentang ketujuh kepala harus disingkirkan atas dasar empat alasan di bawah ini:

1.   Ini sudah sangat mendekati praktek menentukan tanggal untuk gerakan-gerakan nubuatan yang terakhir.

Dalam skenario ini penerus paus Benedict XVI haruslah menjadi paus terakhir. Apakah ini tidak menentukan tanggal yang pasti bagi peristiwa-peristiwa akhir zaman? Menurut saya, iya.

2.   Pandangan-pandangan spekulatif ini ~ dan ini poin yang penting ~ memutuskan hubungan atau memisahkan  Wahyu 17 dari garis nubuatan sebelumnya di Daniel 7,  Wahyu 12 dan 13.

Dengan kata lain, interpretasi bahwa mereka adalah 7 atau 8 paus sama sekali mengabaikan Wahyu 12 dan 13 yang sudah kita pelajari. Seperti yang kita lihat di atas, Wahyu 12, 13, dan 17, terkait tidak bisa dipisahkan.

Ellen White memahami adanya persamaan antara Wahyu 12, 13, dan 17, ketika dia menulis,  “…Allah telah memperingatkan umatNya tentang bahaya yang ada di depan mereka…”  dengan kata lain apa yang akan terjadi.  “…Yohanes melihat hal-hal yang akan terjadi…” kapan? “…di hari-hari akhir, dan dia melihat suatu umat yang bekerja melawan Allah…” Lalu apa yang dikutipnya? Dia berkata, “…Bacalah Wahyu 12:17, Wahyu 14:10-13, dan pasal 17 dan 13.” (Manuscript Releases, volume 17, hal. 18). Apakah Ellen White meyakini bahwa ada hubungan antara Wahyu 12, Wahyu 13, dan Wahyu 17 sehubungan dengan hari-hari akhir? Pasti! Maka kita tidak bisa memutuskan begitu saja Wahyu 17 dan tiba-tiba berkata ada tujuh paus atau mungkin delapan paus. Apa kaitannya dengan Wahyu 12, dan 13? Itu tidak ada kaitannya dengan Wahyu pasal 12 dan 13.

3.   Walaupun ketujuh kepala atau gunung-gunung dari Binatang naga ini dikatakan sebagai tujuh raja, kata “raja” dan “kerajaan” dipakai silih berganti.

Kita sudah meliput poin ini dalam nubuatan. Di nubuatan gunung-gunung melambangkan kerajaan-kerajaan bukan penguasa-penguasa individu. Paus-paus di daftar di atas sesungguhnya bukanlah penguasa tujuh kerajaan yang berbeda, melainkan mereka adalah pemimpin dari apa? Dari kerajaan yang sama. Maksud saya semua hal ini begitu jelas, Saudara-saudara. Asalkan kita mau berpikir sedikit saja, daripada hanya berkata, menjadi bersemangat, bahkan di antara orang-orang Advent, mereka suka menjadi bersemangat dengan “terang baru” dan hal-hal baru. Mereka berkata, Wow! Dan kita percaya apa yang dikatakan internet. Berhati-hatilah mengenai apa yang kita  baca di internet dan mengirimkannya kepada orang lain.

Kalian tahu, beberapa tahun yang lalu dikabarkan bahwa paus punya saudara yang orang Advent, dan ada seorang pengkhotbah yang menyebarkan ini. Dia bilang, paus punya seorang saudara, dan saudaranya itu berkata bahwa paus akan mempersekusi MAHK karena mereka memelihara Sabat. Nah, dengan sedikit riset ternyata paus sama sekali tidak punya saudara yang Advent. Dan pastor itu menanggung malu besar, pastor yang sangat terkenal (Hugo R. Gambetta), dia harus mengakui dan minta maaf untuk apa yang dikatakannya. Jadi jangan mencari informasi tentang nubuatan dari internet. Pelajarilah Alkitab, pelajari Roh Nubuat, di sana ada kepastian. Bila kita mempelajari Alkitab dan Roh Nubuat, kita tidak mungkin salah.

4.   Nah, terakhir ~ kita masih di hal. 98 ~ terakhir, tidak ada bukti bahwa 1929 harus dipilh sebagai tanggal awal urut-urutan ketujuh kepala.

Dari mana kita peroleh ide bahwa ketujuh kepala itu dimulai di tahun 1929? Tidak ada. Seperti yang saya tunjukan dengan jelas di tempat lain, luka yang mematikan tidak disembuhkan di 1929 karena Wahyu 13:11-18 mengatakan kepada kita bahwa Amerika Serikat yang akan berperan dalam menyembuhkan luka yang mematikan, bukan Italia. Di mana ada Italia dalam nubuatan Alkitab? Saya yakin orang-orang Italia ~ jika mereka mendengarkan ini ~ mereka berkata, “Puji Tuhan kami tidak ada dalam nubuatan!” (Tertawa). Tidak ada Binatang di Alkitab yang menunjuk bahwa Italia punya peranan penting dalam peristiwa-peristiwa akhir zaman. Iya betul, Kepausan itu berada di Italia, di Roma, iya. Tetapi bukan negara Italia. Tidak ada bukti tentang ini.

 

 

Now let's go to the next  section, which is the Beast's three final stages.

The Beast from the abyss has three consecutive historical stages. And  you know I’m  not going to read these verses but you have the verses in parentheses.

Verse 8 describes this Beast that rises from the abyss. It says,  “it was -- it is not  -- and it shall be”.  See, John is being taken to the time of the end, and he's looking back, and he's looking forward, he's actually brought to our time. And the angel says,  this Beast “was -- is not -- and yet shall be”.

Verse 8 also says that the Beast “was -- and is not -- and yet is”. By the way that's not a good translation “yet is”,  a better translation is “shall be present”.

 

Sekarang mari ke bagian berikutnya, yaitu Ketiga Tahap Terakhir Binatang tersebut.

Binatang yang keluar dari abusos memiliki tiga tahap sejarah yang berurutan. Dan saya tidak akan membacakan ayat ini karena ayat-ayat itu ada dalam kurung di diktat. (Ayatnya saya cantumkan supaya mudah)

“ ⁸  Ada pun Binatang yang telah kaulihat itu, pernah ada, namun sekarang tidak ada, dan ia akan muncul  dari abusos, dan menuju ke kebinasaan. Dan mereka yang diam di bumi akan heran, yang namanya tidak tertulis di dalam kitab kehidupan,  sejak dunia dijadikan,  apabila mereka melihat Binatang yang pernah ada, dan tidak ada, namun [akan] ada.”

Ayat 8 menggambarkan Binatang ini yang muncul dari abusos. Dikatakan, dia “pernah ada –- sekarang tidak ada -– akan muncul.” Lihat Yohanes dibawa ke masa akhir zaman, dan dia melihat ke belakang, dan dia melihat ke depan. Sesungguhnya dia dibawa ke zaman kita. Dan malaikat itu berkata, Binatang ini  “pernah ada – dan tidak ada – namun [akan] ada.”

Ayat 8 juga mengatakan bahwa Binatang itu “pernah ada – sekarang tidak ada – namun ada.” Nah, itu bukan terjemahan yang baik kata “yet is” (namun ada), terjemahan yang lebih tepat ialah “akan ada”.

 

 

In verse 10, these same time periods are described as “five have fallen  --  one is  -- and the other is not yet come”. Are you catching the picture? So does this power have a past period of existence? Yes! In the present is it inactive? Yes! is it going to be active in the future? Absolutely.

 

Di ayat 10, “¹⁰ Dan ada tujuh raja: lima di antaranya sudah jatuh, yang satu ada dan yang lain belum datang, dan jika ia datang, ia harus tinggal sebentar.”

Periode yang sama digambarkan sebagai  “lima di antaranya sudah jatuh -- yang satu ada -- dan yang lain belum datang”. Apakah kalian menangkap gambarnya? Jadi apakah kekuasaan ini memiliki periode eksistensi di masa lampau? Ya! Di masa sekarang ini apakah dia tidak aktif? Ya! Apakah dia akan menjadi aktif kembali di masa depan? Tentu saja!

 

 

In verse 11, the time periods are also explained as the Beast who “was  -- and is not -- even he is the what? The eighth.” So let me ask you, is the eighth and the seventh the same? Yes! The seventh head bears the number eight and I’ll go ahead get ahead of myself a little bit. Because the number eight in the Bible symbolizes resurrection and this Beast is rising from its deadly wound.  

 

Di ayat 11, “¹¹ Dan Binatang yang pernah ada, dan yang sekarang tidak ada itu, ia itulah yang kedelapan, dan adalah dari yang tujuh dan ia menuju kebinasaan…”

Periode waktunya juga dijelaskan sebagai Binatang yang “…pernah ada -- dan yang sekarang tidak ada”   ia adalah apa? “yang kedelapan”. Jadi coba saya tanya, apakah yang kedelapan dan yang ketujuh itu sama? Ya! Kepala yang ketujuh mendapat juga nomor 8 dan saya akan mendahului pembahasan ini sedikit, karena angka 8 di Alkitab adalah simbol kebangkitan, dan Binatang ini bangkit dari lukanya yang mematikan.

 

1.   “The Beast was” ~  now let's interpret  ~  “the Beast was”:

during the 1260 years of papal dominion.

2.   “It is not”:

Because the Beast presently has what? A deadly wound.

3.   “It shall be”:

Why? Because the deadly wound will be healed, and the whole world will wonder after the Beast.

Are you following?

 

1.   “Binatang yang pernah ada” ~ mari kita kupas ~ “Binatang yang pernah ada”:

yaitu selama 1260 tahun periode kejayaan Kepausan.

2.   “yang sekarang tidak ada”:

karena Binatang itu sekarang punya apa? Luka yang mematikan.

3.   “akan ada”:

Mengapa? Karena luka yang mematikan akan sembuh, dan seluruh dunia akan kagum pada Binatang itu.

Apakah kalian mengikuti?

 

 

Now the heads of the dragon Beast do not rule simultaneously. In other words, they're not all ruling at the same time, but consecutively one after the other.  The heads are wounded ~ this is an important point, and I touched on it this morning ~ the heads are wounded one by one as each civil power passes from the scene. How do we know this? For two reasons:

 

Nah, kepala-kepala Binatang naga itu tidak berkuasa pada waktu yang bersamaan. Dengan kata lain, mereka tidak memerintah pada waktu yang sama, tetapi satu setelah yang lain. Kepala-kepala tersebut terluka ~ ini adalah poin yang penting, dan saya sudah menyinggungnya pagi ini ~ kepala-kepala itu terluka satu per satu saat setiap kekuasaan sipil berlalu dari sejarah. Dari mana kita tahu ini? Untuk dua alasan:

 

 

1.   Because of archaeology.

A cylinder seal has been discovered in Tell Amar in Mesopotamia. And I probably should have brought a picture of this so that you can visualize it. I’ll see if I can go to the office and get the picture so that you can see what this describes.

In this ancient cylinder seal, you find a seven-headed dragon. See, in the pagan world there were also the idea that there were seven headed dragons. It's nothing new. By the way, do you know the name of the dragon? The dragon had a name in antiquity, his name was Leviathan, actually they called it Lotan,  but it has the same consonants as Leviathan. That was the name. And the idea was that you know the Leviathan was a seven-headed dragon, and the Bible picks up on this by the way, folks. In Psalm 74 it says that God will crush the heads of Leviathan. So Leviathan has multiple heads. And who is this Leviathan? Well, this Leviathan ultimately is Satan because if you go to the book of Job chapter 41, he is the king of all of the children of pride, and nobody can destroy him except the Lord.  And then, of course you go to Isaiah 27:1 and it refers to the name Leviathan, and it says that the Lord is going to destroy Leviathan that twisted serpent, and the dragon who lives in the sea. And then you go to Revelation 12:7-9 where you have the same terminology, the devil is the ancient serpent, the dragon, and Satan which are the names that are used for Satan in the book of Job.

So this idea that we find here, yes, it existed in the pagan world but what happens is, it's adopted to express  concepts of prophecy  in the Bible, of things that are going to happen in the future. So this cylinder seal has a seven-headed dragon engaged in conflict with two deities,  one deity is in front and one deity is in back and actually there's a battle going on. Four of the heads pierced by a spear are shown drooping and they are no longer in conflict, they've been killed.  But the other three heads are still erect, maintaining the struggle. So this shows that each head receives a wound. See, the deities had destroyed four of the heads of the dragon, and they still had three more that they needed to slay.

1.   Dari arkeologi.

Di meterai silinder kuno ini, ada naga berkepala tujuh. Lihat, di dunia pagan juga ada konsep naga berkepala tujuh. Itu bukan barang baru. Nah, tahukah kalian nama naga itu? Di zaman kuno naga itu punya nama, namanya ialah Lewiatan, tepatnya mereka memanggilnya Lotan, yang punya konsonan (huruf mati) yang sama dengan Lewiatan. Itulah namanya. Dan konsepnya ialah, Lewiatan ini adalah naga berkepala tujuh. Dan Alkitab memakai ini, Saudara-saudara. Di Mazmur 74:14 dikatakan bahwa Allah akan meremukkan kepala-kepala Lewiatan. Jadi Lewiatan punya banyak kepala. Dan siapakah Lewiatan ini? Nah, Lewiatan ini tepatnya adalah Setan, karena jika kita ke kitab Ayub 41:34, dialah raja segala anak-anak congkak, dan tidak ada yang bisa membinasakannya kecuali Tuhan. Kemudian, jika kita ke Yesaya 27:1 itu merujuk ke nama Lewiatan, dan dikatakan bahwa Tuhan akan membinasakan Lewiatan, ular yang culas, dan naga yang hidup di laut. Kemudian jika kita ke Wahyu 12:7-9 ada istilah yang sama, iblis itulah ular tua, naga, dan Setan, itulah nama-nama yang dipakai untuk Setan di kitab Ayub.

Maka konsep yang kita dapati ini, iya, itu ada di dunia pagan, tetapi yang terjadi ialah konsep itu diadopsi untuk menggambarkan konsep-konsep nubuatan di Alkitab, untuk hal-hal yang akan terjadi di masa depan.

Jadi pada meterai silinder ini ada naga berkepala tujuh yang sedang terlibat dalam perang dengan dua dewa, dewa yang satu ada di depannya dan yang lain di belakangnya, dan sebuah peperangan sedang terjadi. Empat dari kepala-kepala itu sudah kena tombak, dan digambarkan terkulai dan tidak lagi terlibat dalam perlawanan, mereka sudah dibunuh. Tetapi tiga yang lain masih tegak, bertahan dalam peperangan. Jadi ini menunjukan bahwa setiap kepala menerima sebuah luka. Lihat, dewa-dewa telah membinasakan empat dari kepala-kepala naga itu, dan masih ada tiga lagi yang harus mereka bunuh.

 

2.   The second reason why we know that these powers govern one by one consecutively is because of what we studied this morning.

In Revelation 12 how many heads are spewing out waters? Only one head is spewing out waters.

And at what stage of history are the waters being spewed out of the head, of the mouth of the dragon? It is during the 1260 years.

And in Revelation chapter 13 the Beast receives a deadly wound, but it's only one head that gets the wound, not all the heads. What head is that? The same head as Revelation chapter 12.

And so we know that the heads rule consecutively one after the other, one falls the next rises, that one falls the next rises, that one falls the next rises, etc.

 

2.   Alasan kedua mengapa kita tahu bahwa kekuasaan-kekuasaan ini memerintah satu per satu secara berurutan karena apa yang kita pelajari tadi pagi.

Di Wahyu 12 berapa kepala yang menyemburkan air? Hanya satu kepala yang menyemburkan air.

Dan pada tahap sejarah yang mana air-air itu disemburkan dari kepala itu, dari mulut naga itu? Selama periode 1260 tahun.

Dan di Wahyu 13 Binatang itu menerima luka yang mematikan, tapi hanya satu kepalanya yang mendapat luka, bukan semua kepala. Kepala yang mana itu? Kepala yang sama yang di Wahyu 12.

Nah, dengan demikian kita tahu bahwa kepala-kepala tersebut berkuasa satu per satu secara berurutan, satu jatuh, yang lain muncul; itu jatuh yang lain muncul; itu jatuh yang lain muncul, dst.

 

 

Now what is the meaning of the seven heads then? To the best of our present knowledge the seven heads represent the following successive civil kingdoms that have or will be allied with apostate religion.

1.   Babylon, that would be number one.

Was Babylon allied with apostate religion? All you have to do is read Daniel chapter 2: the magicians and so on, they're influencing the king. Daniel chapter 3, what do you find? In chapter 3 you find the astrologers and the wise men, you know the religious leaders telling the king, you know, prepare a furnace to burn up everybody who doesn't agree.

2.   How about Medo-Persia?

Was that a persecuting kingdom? Oh, yeah. If you don't believe it just ask Daniel in the resurrection. He was thrown into the lion's den.

3.   Greece.

Greece was oppressive of Israelites. You know that Greece even made  Jews ~ because you know the Greeks did not circumcise the men, and they would take the Jews and they would put them in the Colosseum naked so the people could laugh as they watched the Jews circumcised. They were oppressed, God's people were oppressed during the Grecian Empire.

4.   Did the Roman Empire oppress God's people?

Was it a kingdom that oppressed God's people? Most certainly yes! All we have to look at is Christ and what happened to the apostles. The apostle Paul was beheaded by the Roman Empire.

So all of these kingdoms were persecutors of God's people while they ruled, while they were alive.

5.   Let me ask you did the civil powers of Europe under the influence of the papacy persecute God's faithful people?

Are you seeing here that we have real apostate religion linked with the civil powers? That's the picture that's being painted here in Revelation chapter 17.

6.   Let me ask you, number six would be the civil power of the United States.

Is apostate religion in the United States  going to use the civil power of this nation to implement a Sunday Law and persecute those who do not comply? Absolutely!

7.   And what about the papacy when it resurrects to power? This would be number seven.

Is the papacy going to be allied with the kings of the earth, and the whole world, to persecute those who do not comply? Are you getting the picture?

These seven heads or mountains represent seven successive kingdoms from Babylon to the end time. Civil kingdoms that are controlled by what? By the Harlot, apostate religion, all the way through history. Apostate religion using the power of the state to persecute those who are faithful to God. That's the picture we have in Revelation chapter 17.

 

Nah, apa makna dari ketujuh kepala itu kalau begitu? Sejauh apa yang kami tahu saat ini, ketujuh kepala itu melambangkan urut-urutan kerajaan-kerajaan sipil, yang pernah atau akan bersatu dengan agama yang sesat, sbb.:

1.   Babilon, ini tentunya nomor satu.

Apakah Babilon pernah bersatu dengan agama sesat? Kita hanya perlu membaca Daniel pasal 2: para ahli sihir dll. yang mempengaruhi raja. Daniel pasal 3, apa yang ada di sana? Di pasal 3 ada ahli-ahli perbintangan dan orang-orang “pintar”, para pemimpin rohani yang menyuruh raja untuk menyiapkan sebuah tungku untuk menghanguskan semua yang tidak sependapat.

2.   Bagaimana dengan Medo-Persia?

Apakah itu suatu kerajaan yang mempersekusi. Oh, iya. Jika kalian tidak percaya, tanya saja Daniel saat kebangkitan. Dia pernah dilemparkan masuk gua singa.

3.   Greeka.

Greeka menindas Israel. Kalian tahu, Greeka bahkan membuat orang-orang Yahudi ~ kalian tahu orang Greeka laki-lakinya tidak disunat ~ dan mereka membuat orang-orang Yahudi dibawa ke Colosseum (stadion besar tempat pertandingan) dalam keadaan telanjang supaya bisa ditertawakan ketika orang-orang melihat orang-orang Yahudi yang disunat. Mereka ditindas, umat Allah ditindas di zaman kekaisaran Greeka.

4.   Apakah kekaisaran Roma menindas umat Allah?

Apakah itu suatu kerajaan yang menindas umat Allah? Sudah tentu iya! Kita hanya perlu melihat pada Kristus dan apa yang terjadi pada para rasul. Rasul Paulus dipancung kepalanya oleh kekaisaran Roma.

Jadi semua kerajaan ini adalah penganiaya umat Allah ketika mereka berkuasa, ketika mereka hidup.

5.   Coba saya tanya, apakah kekuasaan sipil Eropa di bawah pengaruh Kepausan mempersekusi umat Allah yang setia?

Apakah kalian melihat di sini benar-benar ada agama yang murtad yang terkait dengan kekuasaan sipil? Itulah gambaran yang dilukiskan di sini di Wahyu 17.

6.   Coba saya tanya, nomor 6 ini adalah kekuasaan sipil Amerika Serikat.

Apakah agama murtad di Amerika Serikat akan memakai kekuasaan sipil bangsa ini untuk memberlakukan Undang-undang Hari Minggu dan mempersekusi mereka yang tidak mau mematuhi? Jelas iya!

7.   Bagaimana dengan Kepausan ketika dia bangkit kembali berkuasa? Ini no. 7.

Apakah Kepausan akan bersatu dengan raja-raja bumi dan seluruh dunia untuk mempersekusi mereka yang tidak menurut? Apakah kalian melihat gambarannya?

Ketujuh kepala ini atau gunung-gunung melambangkan tujuh kerajaan yang suksesif mulai dari Babilon hingga akhir zaman. Kerajaan-kerajaan sipil yang dikendalikan oleh apa? Oleh si perempuan Pelacur, agama yang murtad, sepanjang sejarah. Agama yang murtad memakai kekuasaan negara untuk mempersekusi mereka yang setia kepada Allah. Itulah gambarannya yang ada di Wahyu pasal 17.

 

 

Now, let's notice there, just a little above the middle of the page, page 100, it will be observed in this scenario that three of the last four heads of this scarlet Beast are what? Roman.

·       Pagan Rome (head # 4),

·       papal Rome (head # 5),

·       and resurrected papal Rome (head # 7).

You remember what  John Andrews wrote? This is exactly what he says.

Now, and even head # 6 which represents what nation? The United States  of America, will become an ally of Rome, because it will speak like the dragon and the dragon is identified with Rome.

And by the way you need to go to the material in Matthew 24. See, you know there's so many prophecies that all fit together in Scripture. Matthew 24 very clearly shows the connection between the United States  and ancient pagan Rome.

You say, well how is that?

 

Nah, kalian perlu ke materi seri Matius 24. Lihat, ada begitu banyak nubuatan yang semuanya klop satu sama lain di Kitab Suci. Matius 24 dengan jelas menunjukan hubungan antara Amerika Serikat dengan Roma pagan kuno.

Do you know that A.T. Jones wrote a book called The Two Republics? It's not an easy read, it's about a thousand pages, it's about this thick, and there he draws a parallel between the government of the United States  and the government of ancient Rome.  

Have you ever noticed the inscriptions on the one dollar bill?  The Great Seal of the United States? 

You have the both sides of the Great Seal of the United States, you have the identical symbols that existed in ancient Rome on the Roman pagan standard. You have an eagle with stretched out wings, the eagle is facing to the right. That was on the Roman standard. The eagle has arrows in its talons and on the Great Seal you have three inscriptions in Latin.  On the Great Seal of the United States!

And under the pyramid you have “1776” in Roman numerals. The architecture of the main buildings in Washington DC is Roman architecture, and the Upper House of Congress is called the “Senate”,  hello!  And those who serve there are “senators”.  Where does that come from? It comes from Rome! So even the sixth head is immersed in Rome.

 

Tahukah kalian bahwa A.T. Jones menulis sebuah buku berjudul The Two Republics? Bukan bacaan yang ringan, sekitar 1000 halaman, kira-kira segini tebalnya, dan di sana dia menarik persamaan antara pemerintahan Amerika Serikat dengan pemerintahan Roma kuno.

Pernahkah kalian menyimak tulisan pada uang kertas satu dolar? Dan Meterai (stempel) Agung Amerika Serikat?

Ada pada kedua sisi Meterai (stempel) Agung Amerika Serikat, ada simbol yang sama dari Roma kuno pada panji Roma pagan. Seekor burung rajawali dengan sayap terbentang, kepalanya menghadap ke kanan. Gambar ini ada pada panji Roma. Rajawali itu di cakarnya memegang anak panah.

Dan pada Meterai Agung ada tulisan dalam bahasa Latin. Pada Meterai Agung Amerika Serikat!

Dan di bawah gambar piramida (pada uang 1 dollar) ada “1776” yang ditulis dengan angka Romawi. 

Arsitektur gedung-gedung utama dia Washington DC adalah arsitektur Roma, dan Majelis Tinggi Kongres disebut “Senat”, halo! Dan mereka yang melayani adalah “senator”. Dari mana ini asalnya? Dari Roma! Jadi bahkan kepala keenam itu penuh ke-Roma-an.

 

 

 

 

 

So let's get back here. Let's go to the paragraph in the middle of the page.

The answer to these questions is quite simple. Why is the United States one of the heads? The books of Daniel and Revelation themselves take up the stages of Rome separately. In Daniel 2 the legs of iron are distinguished from the feet of iron, right? And yet in the feet you have a continuation of Rome, right? Two different parts of the body represent two different stages of Rome.  By the way what comes first in the feet? The iron or the clay? Well, the legs of iron come before, so it must be that in the feet, the iron continues but then the clay is added. And what is the union of iron and clay? Ellen White has said that it's a union of Church and state. And it can be proven from the Bible as well. And I don't have that study in this particular study notes, but I have in other study notes. I proved from the Bible that the clay represents the Church, and the iron of course represents Rome. It's the union of the civil power with religion.

 

Jadi mari kita kembali. Mari ke paragraf di bagian tengah halaman.

Jawaban kepada pertanyaan-pertanyaan itu cukup sederhana. Mengapa Amerika Serikat itu salah satu dari kepala-kepala? Kitab Daniel dan Wahyu sendiri memisahkan tahap-tahap Roma. Di Daniel 2, kaki yang dari besi dibedakan dari jari-jari kaki yang dari besi, benar? Namun di jari-jari itu kelanjutan Roma, benar? Dua bagian tubuh yang berbeda yang mewakili dua tahap Roma yang berbeda. Nah, yang mana lebih dulu ada di jari-jari? Besinya atau tanah liatnya? Nah, kaki dari besi ada duluan, maka tentunya di jari-jari besi adalah kelanjutannya tetapi kemudian ditambahkan tanah liat. Dan gabungan besi dengan tanah liat itu apa? Ellen White mengatakan bahwa itu adalah gabungan Gereja dengan Negara. Dan itu bisa dibuktikan dari Alkitab juga. Saya tidak memasukkan itu dalam diktat ini, tetapi ada di diktat yang lain. Saya sudah membuktikan dari Alkitab bahwa tanah liat melambangkan Gereja, dan besinya tentu saja melambangkan Roma. Itulah gabungan antara kekuasaan sipil dengan agama.

 

 

Now let's continue.

·       In Daniel 7:23-24 we find a clear distinction between the dragon ruling with the ten horns, followed by the dragon with the Little Horn.

There's a distinction between the two.

·       Revelation 13 adds that the Little Horn or the Beast will have another stage after its deadly wound is healed, that would be head # 7. 

·       However, kingdom # 6 the United States,  will be instrumental in giving head # 5 its power back.

·       Even further, Revelation 12 portrays a dragon in heaven with ten horns as a symbol of pagan Rome.

·       Revelation 13 uses a composite Beast from the sea with ten horns to represent papal Rome, during the 1260 years.

·       And Revelation 17 employs here a third Beast from the abyss with ten horns to represent the papacy when its deadly wound is healed.

So do you have three different Beasts that represent three different stages? Yes, absolutely!

 

Sekarang, mari kita lanjut.

·       Di Daniel 7:23-24 kita menemukan suatu perbedaan yang jelas antara naga yang berkuasa dengan 10 tanduk, diikuti oleh naga dengan Tanduk Kecil.

Ada perbedaan antara keduanya.

·       Wahyu 13 menambahkan bahwa Tanduk Kecil atau Binatang itu akan memiliki tahap yang lain setelah lukanya yang mematikan itu sembuh, dan itu adalah kepala # 7.

·       Namun, kerajaan # 6 Amerika Serikat, yang akan berperan memberikan kembali kepada kepala # 5 kekuasaannya.

·       Lebih jauh, Wahyu 12 menggambarkan seekor naga di langit dengan 10 tanduk sebagai simbol Roma pagan.

·       Wahyu 13 memakai Binatang gabungan (campuran) dari laut dengan 10 tanduk untuk melambangkan Roma Kepausan di masa 1260 tahun.

·       Dan Wahyu 17 memakai di sini Binatang ketiga yang keluar dari abusos dengan 10 tanduk untuk melambangkan Kepausan setelah lukanya yang mematikan sembuh.

Jadi apakah ada tiga Binatang berbeda yang melambangkan tiga tahap berbeda? Ya, tentu saja!

 

 

Now if three Beasts which arise in three different places are used to represent the different stages of Rome, then it should not surprise us that separate heads are used to depict those same stages. It is important to underline that the sixth head which is the United States under apostate Protestantism, is symbolized by a separate Beast, and is related to Rome, because it speaks like a dragon, and the dragon represents Satan working through Rome.

 

Nah, jika tiga Binatang yang muncul dari tiga tempat yang berbeda dipakai untuk melambangkan tahap-tahap Roma yang berbeda, maka tidak heran jika kepala-kepala berbeda dipakai untuk menggambarkan tahap-tahap yang sama. Adalah penting untuk menggarisbawahi bahwa kepala keenam yaitu Amerika Serikat di bawah Protestantisme murtad, dilambangkan oleh Binatang yang berbeda, dan terkait kepada Roma, karena dia berbicara seperti naga, dan naga melambangkan Setan bekerja melalui Roma.

 

 

Now here comes Ellen White. You know, you think she might agree with this? Yes! Lucky guess? No! No! No! Inspired by the Holy Spirit. Notice what she wrote, “Under the symbols of the  great red dragon…”  that's Revelation 12, “…a  leopard-like beast…”  that's the papacy Revelation 13 “…and a  beast with  lamblike  horns…” that's head # 6, the United States  “…the   earthly  governments  which  would  be  especially engaged in trampling upon God's Law and persecuting His people were presented to John. Their war is to be carried on till the close of time. The  people of God, symbolized by a  holy woman and her children, are represented as greatly in the minority. In the last days, only a remnant still exists. John speaks of them as those that ‘keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.’  

 

Sekarang Ellen White. Kalian pikir kira-kira apa dia setuju dengan ini? Ya! Tebakan jitu? Tidak, tidak, tidak! Diilhami oleh Roh Kudus. Di hari-hari akhir, hanya sisanya yang masih ada. Yohanes berbicara tentang mereka sebagai ‘yang memelihara perintah-perintah Allah dan memiliki kesaksian Yesus Kristus.’…” (Signs of the Times, February 8, 1910).

 

 

Now what is the last head?

Listen to what Ellen White wrote in Testimonies for the Church Volume 7 page 182, I mean it couldn't be any clearer than this. “As we approach the last crisis…” this would be the seventh head, right?  “…As we approach the last crisis it is of vital moment that harmony and unity exist among the Lord's instrumentalities. The world is filled with storm and war and variance…” now listen carefully  “…Yet  under  one…” what?  “…head…” and who is that head?  “…—the  papal  power—the  people  will  unite  to oppose God in the person of His witnesses.”

So what is the last head that will persecute God's people? It is the papal power which is by the way the Harlot, right? Dominating the political systems of the world and through the political systems actually dominating the body of the dragon which is the multitudes, nations, tongues, and peoples.

 

Nah, kepala yang terakhir itu apa?

Dengarkan apa yang ditulis Ellen White di Testimonies for the Church Vol. 7 hal. 182, maksud saya tidak bisa lebih jelas dari ini. “…Sementara kita mendekati krisis yang terakhir…” ini kepala yang ketujuh, benar?  “…Sementara kita mendekati krisis yang terakhir sangatlah penting keserasian dan persatuan ada pada umat Allah. Dunia dipenuhi oleh badai dan perang dan perbedaan…”  sekarang dengarkan baik-baik.  “…Namun di bawah satu…”  apa?  “…kepala…” dan siapa kepala itu?  “…kekuasaan Kepausan, rakyat akan bersatu untuk melawan Allah dalam pribadi saksi-saksiNya.”

Jadi apa kepala terakhir yang akan mempersekusi umat Allah? Itu adalah kekuasaan Kepausan yang adalah si perempuan Pelacur, benar? Mendominasi sistem-sistem politik dunia dan melalui sistem-sistem politik sesungguhnya mendominasi tubuh naga yang adalah orang banyak, bangsa-bangsa, bahasa-bahasa, dan kaum-kaum.

 

Now  we have a long quotation which I’m  not going to get into. We'll pick up here where we left off. We'll finish Lord willing Revelation chapter 17 in our first session tomorrow morning, and then be ready because we're going to start Revelation chapter 18 which presents this same scenario but from a political economic perspective, not from the perspective of the Harlot who has joined with the kings of the earth, but what is going to happen with the capitalist system of the world under the Sixth and the Seventh Plagues. Tragic and sad we need to share this message with  Bezos  and with all these magnates of the earth because God wants them to be saved too. He doesn't want them to focus only on the riches of this life, God wants to save everyone.

And so we will meet tomorrow morning, same time, same place, same channel, and we will finish Revelation 17 and begin  Revelation chapter 18. God bless.

Allah tidak mau mereka hanya fokus pada kekayaan kehidupan ini, Allah mau menyelamatkan semua orang.

Maka kita akan bertemu kembali besok pagi, waktu yang sama, tempat yang sama, saluran yang sama, dan kita akan menyelesaikan Wahyu 17 dan mulai dengan Wahyu pasal 18. Tuhan memberkati.
